On a lark I thought I would try to grow the flowers for our daughter's wedding with no experience…read moreas a gardener. :-O That said, I didn't want all of the responsibility, so we hired Sweet Roots Farm for the bouquets, sweetheart table, boutonnières, and corsages. As the months went on, I got nervous because the weather was cooler than normal, and the flowers were growing slowly. So I added 400 stems of bulk flowers to my order for insurance. Deena was awesome. She was super willing with great information. I LOVE her event software that tracts your proposal, order, payments, etc. We were always in the know. As the wedding got closer, she kept in close contact, making sure we were all on the same page. We had the bulk flowers delivered the day before so that we could prepare the table arrangements. We picked up the other arrangements the day of the wedding to make sure they were super fresh. In the meantime, my flowers kicked in and were amazing. It was a wildflower-themed wedding. We kept our flowers in pots, and didn't have to worry about them wilting, etc., while we kept Sweet Roots Farm flowers cool to bring out at the last minute. The flowers stole the show. It was a huge success. The house was not landscaped. There was a lot of brown.....until all of the flowers showed up. It was beautiful! My vision was "wildflower princess" and Sweet Roots absolutely crushed and exceeded all expectations!! Deena was super flexible and helped us work within our set budget. We also got to visit the farm and align on which flowers we liked best, this was definitely a highlight of the whole summer for us. Our visit was so fun. "Can I have eight slices of tomato? Three more. Two more. One more." (I'm not sure why my love of tomatoes seems to irritate certain sandwich makers so much.) Anyway, for $11.99, I end up with the same size and quality sandwich that I would pay nearly $20 for at a stand alone sandwich spot. Since it's a grocery store, of course they use Boars Head deli meats, and always keep the produce super fresh. Sadly this left a horrible experience and it's truly sad because my flowers did turn out great. However how you treat your customers really does matter. Regardless if someone spends 5 dollars or 5000 respect matters, your tone of voice matters.
