They've got roses of every color, lilies and gardenias and an assortment of things I didn't even know were considered flowers. Flowers that look like they were transported from an alien planet. An avatar world. PRICE: $$ -I usually get a bouquet around $40 to $50 wrapped in craft paper with a cute bow tie and they are gorgeous! If I had seen these bouquets in the window, I would think that that was an $80 to $100 bouquet. Kind, friendly and professional demeanor. I don't make the mistake of selecting the flowers myself. I choose a color theme and the amount I want to spend and allow for magic to happen. It's not just Mark who makes the bouquets because I've seen others working on mine before. And when I arrive to pick up the bouquets, they are absolutely panty dropping! At this point I have purchased flowers for three different women and each of them had said that the bouquets were the most beautiful they had ever seen! And as I look around at other bouquets, I would have to more than agree. And since I'm known for making my own classic arrangements and building ceremonial altars, I can't just show up with any old bouquet. I've always loved this place but... New staff completely inept and rude! Zero help, told to physically pick out my own flowers since a budget of $30 was too low for her. So I did. Then she kept trying to argue and pick fights with me. Then she tells a coworker that it cost $40 and to charge me $45. Asked to see the bouquet and it was horrendous. Zero love given to it. My son and his wife were married this past weekend on September 23, 2022, at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. We are all native Nevada County residents and we chose Foothill Flowers for its longevity in the community and its reputation for quality. We were NOT disappointed. My son and his wife live in Colorado and this is our first wedding of this generation so I needed some guidance and support as the local contact. Mark was AMAZING. My mother (grandmother of the groom) and I (mother of the groom) printed pictures from my (future) daughter-in-law's Pinterest page and brought them to Mark with a general plan about her colors. We also requested flowers for three dogs that would be in the ceremony as well as the flower girl's pony. He didn't even flinch. The flowers he and his team put together were perfect! They were the perfect finishing touch to the rustic beauty of the Miners Foundry. In addition, working with Mark and his team was effortless. They went above and beyond in making sure we had everything in a timely manner (including delivery of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages) and they set up the reception area and the mantelpiece expertly. I am so impressed with the quality, creativity, and professionalism of the entire staff.
