First, the front counter person was not happy that I presented a Groupon for the State Inspection and Oil Change. Fine, I get it, you want to charge more for your service. If that's so, don't offer Groupon to entice new consumers to your store. Now, here is where the story turns juicy. Instead of following my instructions and placing the oil I purchase from Napa to be fill into my vehicle, they use their own oil, which, as a business owner, you could have saved money. SERIOUSLY, the technician completely disregarded my instructions to use my oil that I purchased from anther location and siting in the front seat of the car, which saves you money, and fills the tank with their own. PLUS, THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG GRADE OF OIL IN THE TANK. John, the service writer exclaimed, "it's ok to use 0w 20, instead of 5w 20, since they are so similar." I replied, "oh really, so if my SUV needs a new engine because of this mistake, you certainly are going to pay for it, right?" With my response, John said that he will change the oil again and use the same filter that was newly installed. However, at this point, I didn't even want them to change my oil any longer. I was unsure what would happen next if they did. So, I declined the offer. Finally, my check engine light illuminated orange as I traveled to the store. I knew it was for a something with the fuel system which was fixed. Since they accommodated me with returning so I could pass my emission test which failed the first time, I feel that an increase from one star to two is sufficient. The very next day, I drove my SUV to Vec Tire and Phil, the service tech, evaluated my SUV. The braking system needed to be replaced, and the axle needed to be repaired. Zach gave offered good price for repairs, and my vehicle was up and running a few days later. My SUV runs great and I feel the entire team there are honest and open with their customers.
