I took my vehicle there for brake fluid and coolant fluid change. I had appointment for 9am and didn't get out of there until after 12noon. I was not pleased with the service, coolant system was not completed, Coolant system was not properly filled, could have damaged the engine block or cylinder head, could have resulted in major engine repairs. Also the location manager had a don't give a darn attitude. I would not recommend having your automobile serviced at Abington Firestone on 1400 block of Old York Road. I appreciate some of the staff and their customer service. However, the follow-up and proactiveness of a few individuals leave much to be desired. We visited for a service on two occasions, and there was a lack of follow-through both times. If I hadn't called to inquire or if the servicemen had taken the time to dig a little deeper, I wouldn't have received the necessary results. I'm not happy at all. They told me they could do an alignment, I only needed a minor adjustment because it drove straight however the wheels only lost tread on the outside. However when I got my car back the alignment was worse than it was when I took my car in the steering wheel was shifted to the right while it drove straight. This is the worse branch ever. I brought my civic there to get my tires in my new rims. They did not do exactly what I asked and that was any balled tires please put them to the rear so there will be a rotation. They did only the passenger side. Then they reset my TPMS ... they still not connected. And I bought the unlimited alignment. Still pulls to the right. Wasted my complete day to have a half ass job. So after spending all day there for my first mistake. I made an appointment this time dropped it off around 9:45 am. Roughly. What I requested on the civic ... driver side tires to be switched out the easiest thing to do. Reset my sensors and make sure they stay reset. Another easy thing todo. And fix the wheel alignment which should be easy also cause it just had one so all that had to be done is fix the pull to the right. As an old manger of a shop ... literally 2:30 hours tops... so here is the lame excuses 1 called me to ask if it's the Highlander and where is it. Before calling ( they didn't even notice the key is a honda. So clearly you not fixing a Highlander ). Called back around 2:30pm they said it will take another 2 hours. I called back around 4:50pm why I didn't get a call and why it takes so long. They try to give me another lame excuse it takes 2 hours to do an alignment. I explained it does not take 2 hours to do an alignment, 45 min to an hour tops. Especially if you just did it. It should be quicker. And all that tells me they didn't even do it right the first time. Crazy part is when they gave me the paper it showed they aligned it out the red marks into the green which means they did not do it right the first time..... so they supposedly test drove it. That was a super lie... cause the when I got it home I checked everything I asked for and nothing was done the 2nd time and they had my car till 5:45pm. I made another appointment. This time who ever acted like they didn't give a shit about my complaint. Then brushed me off. So I did the appointment. To wake up the next day to decide I will not bother with them again. I needed two tire repairs and they (a) did what they said they would do (b) in the time they said it would take (c) at the price they said it would cost. Can I give zero stars? What a rip off! Needed headlight bulbs replaced, which is kind of a pain on my car since it has to be done through the wheel well. They charged $48 for replacing the one and it stopped working that week. The other, they wanted to replace the socket. They ordered it and it got the wrong part. We took our car to the Firestone in Abington, PA for a state inspection a week or so ago. It passed the emissions test, but failed the safety inspection. Firestone told us we needed 3 major things done to our car in order to pass inspection, totaling over $1,000. They suggested another $2,000 in "preventive" maintenance. We usually take our car to our Honda dealer for routine maintenance and major repairs, but they are over 40 minutes away so we go to Firestone for tires and other minor issues because they are nearby. We didn't think Honda could have overlooked these safety issues when doing routine maintenance so we decided to take the car to them for a second opinion. They told us nothing was wrong with the car, so we told them what Firestone had said and asked them to take a second look. They said they could not find anything wrong. We can only surmise that someone at Firestone - either on their own, or at the direction of management - made up these repairs to increase profits. We believe Honda over Firestone because our car is 12 years old and Honda knows we will be car shopping in the near future and they would not want to lose our business. Here's the kicker - in talking to the service rep at Honda we learned that in the state of PA (we're from MA) the manner in which a car is inspected is totally arbitrary, creating lots of room for dirty dealings. It's ridiculous! No other state I have lived in (I have lived in 8) performs their annual inspections this way. My next letter will be to the state of Pennsylvania. We have had very good service from Firestone in the past, but this brings serious questions to light about their honesty. I called today to ask if there had been an ownership or management change recently, and I was told that yes there had been, about a year ago. Maybe that accounts for what happened to us. read more

I took 4 tires in to be put on my Hellcat. They called me and said they broke off my tire sensor and I could drive it but it needed to come back the next day. When I left work I had a flat tire and had to get towed to firestone. They replaced the faulty valve and called me to pick up my car. The manager handed me the Keys and said to call if I had any issues... when I got to my car ALL OF MY RIMS WERE DAMAGED. They took giant chunks out of all of my black rim. I want to compliment the staff for providing me with a quick diagnostic and fixing the problem immediately! Danielle was great she had a Service technician pull the car a few minutes after I arrived and within 1/2 she advised what part needed to be replaced. The only delay was waiting for the part to arrive from their Vendor. Once the part arrived the car was ready in less than 1/2 hour! Unfortunately I live in Arizona so I won't be able to patronage them again until I return but I told my mother that she needs to make this location her first choice for future tires or repairs! I had scheduled an online appointment for getting my car's oil and wheel alignment done. To my surprise I received a call right after I left my house that it may take 4 hours for the work to be done. The person who told me said there is a glitch in their online scheduling on their website and he cannot do anything about it rather than I would have to wait. I told them that this happened last time time when I got my car serviced and it took three hours and at that time too when again I had scheduled my appointment online. I went to the Firestone in Abington, PA for a 4pm appointment and was told when I arrived that it would take almost two hours for my car to receive four new tires. At first the two hour wait didn't seem like much however when I returned to the firestone an hour and 18 mins after dropping my car off it was still in the exact same spot. When I voiced my opinion about the poor service to the sales associate, Christian, he was very rude and completely unprofessional. Clearly the place was overbooked and instead of letting me know before hand I ended up waiting almost 3 hours for my car to be finished. I placed the request for the appointment online and the guy behind the counter was bothered that he had to look it up. His next statement to me was to ask what was wrong, so I told him that I needed a new battery. He said next, "so what do you want me to do about it?" I had two tires replaced on Thursday and had to put air in the tires twice over the next four days. I brought the car in and was made to feel that I was very low on their priority list. It took two hours to determine my stems were leaking and I was never offered an apology or thank you for being patient. I will NEVER return to this store to get tires or any service done. Ok so I went in for four new destination LE 2's prompt service friendly staff. I'm waiting and the service manager comes out and tells me my air filter and license plate light need replacing. Ok first thing first. Why are you popping the hood in my truck in order to change the tires? Oh wait your not because if you had you would have seen that it was a brand new filter that I had replaced myself the week before. Oh and no I wasn't off roading through the week getting it dirty. Next how did you see the light was out if it's the middle of the day. Oh that's right you didn't because it wasn't. I have the bulbs at home so i put one in my center console and asked my mechanic to replace it when he finished the inspection. The reason I had new tires put on it in the first place. My mechanic asked me why all my lights worked fine otherwise he would have told me for the inspection. The only reason they got a two star rating is because they did do a good job on the tires. I have been a customer of firestone for years and never have I ever experienced such a nasty and unprofessional customer service representative. I had an appointment for 7am this morning to get an inspection. Penndot is no longer sending out paper vehicle registration cards s I had the copy on my phone. The Firestone representative told me I needed the physical copy of my registration which i didnt think was needed due to we can show them on our phones now. I told the Firestone Rep that they should instruct customers when making an appointment for inspection the physical card is needed now that we no longer get physical cards and just like insurance cards people can easily think the physical cards are no longer needed. I asked him if I could email him or the store and print a copy of the Registration. He replied back to me that no he couldn't and we began to argue our positions. I asked if I could speak to the manager and he told me he was the manager. He began to get loud and started to talk down to me instructing me i needed to go home or go to a Kinkos to print out the card. I told him "don't yell at me" and he told me I was yelling at him which in fact i wasn't. I told him "i got you", recorded his name as Chris, told him "you are a fucked up manager" and started to to walk out. He yelled to be as i was leaving "I will fuck me up and beat yous ass." I couldn't believe he just threatened to physically assault me. I then said"come beat my ass then." He came from around the counter and told me to come on. I said "you just said you would beat my ass so go ahead and beat me." He told me to go outside so he could beat me, so i walked outside and he followed. He then told me to come on and hit him. I told him you was the one that said you would beat my ass. He then said "just like I thought, you a bitch ass nigga. Leave and never come back here." I told him i would come back another time after I speak to Firestone Corporation. He told me he was calling the police and I told him to go ahead. I waited for the police and left after they spoke to both of us. I called the Firestone on City Ave and the manager answered the phone. Before I told him about what just took place I told him about the vehicle registration situation and he asked if I had my Laptop on me(which I did) and he would be able to print out the registration for me from my Laptop. So I am now writing this review at the Firestone Bala Cynwyd. I was told that the representative Chris wasn't even the Manager of the Abington Firestone. I have always had good customer service at this Firestone so I dont want to say this reflects the entire location but I suggest to avoid the African- american gentleman named Chris that works the morning shift at all costs.
