I feel the need to write a current review so as not to scare off anyone who needs their services. When my doctor arranged for me to come here, after reading the other reviews, I felt a bit uneasy. There was no need for me to feel that way. Hillsboro Imaging provided a safe, thorough and positive experience for me.* Arriving here in the aftermath of a snow event, I was concerned (again, previous review) about the parking situation. There was no situation. There was available parking in the rear of the building (dedicated) as well as parking to the side. I didn't notice the situation in front, as that wasn't the way I drove there but I didn't notice anyone grousing about it in the waiting room. Let's talk about the waiting room: it's large, it has ample seating for everyone and a TV to keep you company while you wait. Between checking in (at my appointed time) and walking back for the appointment, I waited 18 minutes. I might complain about that but HI fit me in to be seen earlier than my scheduled appointment so I wasn't about to moan about a relatively small wait time. Once behind the door, I was greeted and instructed to engage in some pre-screening (literally) procedures. From there, I was walked back into a private room, prepped and had what was to await me described in detail. When I got to the hadron collider, I was ready. The process was easy and despite being in the room by myself, a tech/nurse walked me through each step via speaker. I was comfortable throughout my time here and the attitudes i encountered ranged from (curt) professional to unquestionably nice and patient. The only o_0 moment was when I was done with the procedure and needed to get changed back into my street clothes. The tech/nurse (different from the one who walked me back, prepped me and led me through the procedure) stood over me waiting for me to get up. I had to ask for her to leave the room, close the door and give me some privacy (as much as possible given the large window in the room). I came here expecting something awful (thanks to the reviews). I left feeling relieved. I think it the responsible thing to pay it forward and help ease any minds sent here. I had an appointment this past Friday morning and was very pleasantly surprised after reading a lot of negative reviews. The staff was able to see me promptly (which may be because it was 7:45 am but if you're in a crunch I'd recommend morning appointments) and they were efficient and kind with their work. If I had any feedback to offer, in my last mri at a hospital in another state I was given headphones and a pandora playlist to pass the time versus the earplugs I was given here, but that's neither here nor there. There was plenty of available parking in front of and beside and behind the building, and there were tons of spots still open when I left, so that's no issue. The staff were courteous in answering my questions about the procedure and helpful. read more

The facility is very convenient to me. I have gone there for different reasons for several years. only once did I have a bit of a wait but normally the service is good and not out of line with a busy lab. It is faster than the lab at 100 Oaks. I have never had a problem parking in front, but I often go late afternoon. read more

Great people! Very considerate about your timing of next appointments. Make sure you walk in with an appointment or you will be last (2hr wait)! My son always has scheduled appointments so we walk in, take care of business, and then walk out in about it 30min. No problems for us! My stars are due to parking situation. There is parking in the back (10 spots). The area in general (Hillsboro) is a very high traffic area. Make sure you arrive in plenty of time! read more

I had a scan done to follow up on my lung cancer. I generally is the radiology department on the main campus at Vanderbilt, but with this Covid19 going on my Dr didn't want me close to the hospital just cause I'm high risk. The staff did a great job to ensure the gems were at a minimum which I felt very comfortable about. I have had scans done by Hillsboro numerous times over the years. Honestly, they are very pleasant to deal with and the care is as good as you can get. I would have given 5 stars, but that leaves no room for improvement and as we know we can always do something a bit better. Truthfully though, I can't imagine what that might be. After all, a scan is a scan right. I appreciate all the care I got from everyone at Hillsboro. Y'all did a great job. Unfortunately, my scan reviled several more Cancer spots in both lungs. I'll be going back for another scan in about as month to see if things are going along as fast as they appear to be right now. Once that's determined I can then get another plan to attack things. I have a chronic illness and spend a good portion of my life in clinics and waiting rooms, so when it goes really right, I like to give the staff a shoutout. The staff at Hillsboro Imaging are considerate and efficient, and I just generally like them. I only had to fill and sign two sparse pages of forms (though I'm already a Vanderbilt patient, so keep that in mind if it's your first visit to any of their locations). The MRI tech gave me the toastiest, hot-outta-the-warmer blanket for the frigid imaging room. To top it all off, there is parking both on the street and readily available in the rear of the building, off 20th Avenue. I was here on a weeknight and had no trouble finding a spot at the back of the building. Go team. read more

Trying to find a parking spot is the first hurdle I had to face when I went here. The "Patient Parking Lot" was full and packed with several vehicles that were there when I got there and there when I left. I'm sure patients aren't the only ones parking there. When I checked in at 10:15 for a 10:30 appointment, the receptionist appeared hurried and frazzled. The lobby was full and barely a seat to be found. There was one person who came in a wheelchair and it was very tight trying to find somewhere for him to find somewhere to park his wheelchair. I finally got called back at 11:15 for my 10:30 appt. I was put in another waiting area for another 15 minutes only to be asked to sit in a chair in the lab. I told her I was not getting contrast for the CT scan, so she said, "Oh... I'll check on that." (She was holding the order sheet that said "Cat scan without contrast", but didn't bother reading it. I was finally brought back to the CT machine a little after 11:30 and it took all of 2 minutes. I will ask for another place to have my radiology tests done next time. read more
