Very good hamburgers, awesome wings, especially naked old bay wings! Family friendly. The best homemade sausage around.

TAP Sports Bar - TAP Entrance

    TAP Sports Bar

    (648 reviews)

How did I not know TAP Sports Bar existed?…read more TAP is basically what happens when a stadium, a fryer, and a casino have a baby; loud, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you needed. I was fully invested in the Duke game because if they won, my bestie would be back in DC. So yes, I was out here cheering for the Boozer brothers like I was trying to get their mama a plane ticket. Not wanting to deal with the National Harbor side, my friend suggested TAP and honestly, clutch move. The struggle: a 30-45 minute wait for a table. The plot twist: the to‑go line was just as long, and they'll shut it down if the kitchen gets overwhelmed. But it was available. The pivot: the outdoor area was wide open. No bar, no servers, no crowd, just sunshine and empty plush seating and tables. So outside it is. This worked perfectly because we both weren't drinking! We ordered at the bar, grabbed our food, and watched the game outside like VIPs who chose peace over chaos. Inside: TVs everywhere, sports blasting, people yelling at screens like the players owed them money. It's chaotic in the best possible way. Service was friendly but slow but still, the staff somehow kept the whole place running like a well‑oiled machine in the middle of a sports‑fueled tornado. Final verdict: Come hungry, come casual, and come patient. TAP is fun, filling, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want comfort food with zero pretension. Now... let's get into it! I went straight for the TAP Burger, as any self‑respecting burger monster would. And honestly? It understood the assignment. Juicy, messy (in a sexy way), and stacked like it's trying to win a televised food competition. The fries were crispy little overachievers, especially impressive considering they were trapped in a plastic container. No pics because to go food isn't picture worthy out of the containers. Highly recommend. This is officially my new spot for all things sports. Plus, free parking. A no‑brainer. Find me here on game days! Perfect outdoor place to be!

Although our hostess was pleasant, she was too much of a social butterfly to stay focused on tasks at her assigned tables. It took over 20 minutes to get our checks after we requested them. Meanwhile she fluttered from table to table talking to folks as if this were her house party. The food came out pretty fast. None of it was spectacular but it was what we expected from a sports bar. The mood was lively as the DJ took requests and tried to get the party going. I'm just not sure that the atmosphere and setting matched together. The hostess suggested that we got our drinks at a bar across the gaming floors as the restaurant bar was running way behind. I did and it was outside of security so I had to wait in line again to come back onto the gaming floor as the bar is at the bldg entryway before the security checkpoint.. I ordered my usual and I didn't taste it till I got to my table. It was definitely not Crown Royal Deluxe on the rocks in my cup. Nevertheless, I drank it cause I didn't want to go and fight thru security and with a bartender that may or may not know what is in their bottles. None of the food items were anything of note. I will recommend that they take suggestions from the patrons on how to make things better. It's a new casino and it shows. Hopefully I'll be able to give a better review at some point. This place has potential.

Verified Untappd venue (iykyk), with what seems like endless taps and an even more impressive selection of cans/bottles. Bartenders are pretty damn knowledgeable about the product as well, which as a beer nerd is perfect. The food is fantastic. From appetizers (the fried vegetables are heaven) to entrees, it's the perfect amalgamation of classic bar food and Indian cuisine. Today when I was in I had the Taphouse (Lamb) Burger with fries and a side of their Makhani sauce (Pic attached). If a place has a lamb burger it's my immediate go to every time, and I have to say Taphouse has the best I've ever had. The lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the vegetables were fresh, and that feta is that perfect accompaniment to round it off. The Makhani sauce is just good on everything. Could drink it. Not kidding. The venue offers a welcoming outdoor area and a semi-private indoor space perfect for events. I've booked Taphouse for both corporate and personal gatherings, and it's the easiest, most reliable spot in the County for hosting by far. Beyond the food and drink, Taphouse, and especially Sunny (the owner) are one of the most community engaged businesses in Southern Maryland. They have put on countless events supporting all types of local organizations, and always work with nonprofits when they need anything. Taphouse and Sunny himself really serve as one of the best ambassadors of St. Mary's County, especially since a large portion of the customers are transient. All in all, 100% a must try if in the area. But be warned, if you do, you will be coming back constantly.

The older woman who was at the register was neither friendly nor communicative. When approaching the counter she was engrossed in her writing and didn't bother to look up. With her head down, she said "ma'am" and I asked her politely if I could get $25 on pump four, she didn't say anything and took my cash. She then proceeded to check the two 20 bills I gave her with the marker (totally fine) but felt the need to examine them further by flipping them and making sure they were still valid bills. I could understand this if I were paying a large sum of money, but this was not the case. After checking the bills thoroughly and getting my change she handed me back my change without looking up or saying anything. No thank you, have a nice day, bye or even a look of disgust. I must say that I will not be returning to this gas station and will go out of my way to take my business elsewhere. I'm not sure if this woman was having a bad day (she helped the woman in front of me with great pleasure) or if she just doesn't like people of color. Nonetheless, I don't support behavior like this from anyone and will not be back.
