We were having trouble with roofing companies trying to get our business by claiming we had hail damage and encouraging us to submit insurance claims. After inspections, our insurance company denied the claims because there was no hail damage. I learned about Hillis Adjustment Agency when I met Tamara at a real estate continuing education class. She explained that their company works with trusted roofing professionals who would honestly assess our roof and tell us the truth instead of just trying to make a sale. Tamara connected us with David Delac at Zurix Roofing, and we are so thankful she did. David was honest, professional, and trustworthy. He confirmed that the other two roofing companies were not truthful about hail damage. While we ultimately needed a new roof due to age and wear, David gave us an honest assessment without trying to push a false insurance claim and therefore won our business. I would absolutely recommend calling Tamara at Hillis Adjustment Agency to help with your insurance claims if you want guidance from honest professionals who will connect you with the right people and help you avoid companies trying to submit false claims to insurance. read more

When Our basement flooded back in April of 2025, we were recommended to use Hillis Adjustment Agency to help us with our claim. We are so happy we worked with them. It was effortless and they were on our side. We didn't have to talk to the insurance company at all. Jessica was great. We asked any questions and she was able to answer the best she could and never lied to us. She was at bat for us when we were getting quotes to reconstruct the basement. Everything was handled great from start to finish. I never felt we were lost or out of touch and didn't know what was going on with the whole process. My wife and I were 100% satisfied with them. read more

I asked Hillis to help me with a first time claim, they were absolutely wonderful. My adjuster Lou was very knowegable and helpful, also my team coordinator and the person I interacted with; Nina, was amazing. Always friendly, cooperative, very helpful, she responded to every one of my many questions quickly with solid answers and advice. I highly recomend Hillis Adjustment Agency. Thanks, Rick read more

We had two water damage claims in the same few weeks. First house. We needed someone to help us navigate the insurance process, and get us as much as possible. Hillis was great. Highly recommend. read more

This is the second time that I have used Hillis when I had a homeowner's claim. My first experience was so good that I knew as soon as I saw my most recent problem, a bad water leak that ruined a wood floor, I had to call Hillis again. I called them before calling the insurance company and they handled the claim. Hillis negotiated a significantly better settlement (at least 3X) than offered by the insurance company using their knowledge, persistence and diligence. I highly recommend that you use them for any claim. I sincerely believe you cannot lose. read more

Hiring Hillis Adjustment Agency was the best decision I made after Hurricane Helene swept through my home. Within a few days of the destruction, they were at my home taking pictures and measurements and notes. Dan spent a few hours detailing everything in my loss, and kept me up to date with the process. I was in contact with the adjusters on a regular basis. I had timing issues with the insurance company but Hillis took care of it all. I don't know how I would have handled it on my own. A big THANK YOU to Dalia, Dan, Colleen and the rest of the staff. Cheryl G read more

Do not accept a denial from your homeowners insurance company, hire Hillis Public Adjusters first!! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing truly superb service at Hillis Public Adjusters. Lou Wein treated us with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for the entire visit. Mr. Wein and Nina went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were not only met but exceeded!! The service prompt and efficient, but it was also delivered with a genuine smile and a willingness to assist in any way possible. Thank you Lou and Nina!! read more

I have used Hillis on three occasions as a long time homeowner. The most recent was due to extensive water damage in my finished basement due to a compromised water heater. Again, Hillis handled my claim from A-Z, with communication throughout, and a high level of professionalism. I would NEVER submit a claim directly through my insurance agency, as you will never get a settlement that covers what you will need for repairs. All three times, I have been very pleased with the settlement that Hillis was able to negotiate on my behalf. Look no further! read more

This team at Hillis works as a well oiled machine! The staff are compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable in their field. You couldn't ask for a better group of people to have on your side as you go thru the Insurance claims process! I've used them twice, and my immediate family has also used due to knowing their job will get done, get done right, get done at the appropriate price due, but most of all all in a timely way! read more

Very professional and definitely got me more money than I would have had I filed on my own. Friendly service and continuous communication.

They did a great job helping me after my home was hit by a tornado. They were organized, pleasant and persistent. Would highly recommend them. read more

Before this I had used Hillis personally a couple times so when my church suffered damage due to a wind event, I suggested that we call them. They chose to deal with the insurance company directly, but when our insurer was difficult about fairly settling the claim, we called Hillis. Dan, the adjuster, and his team fought for us and got the church everything that was fair from the insurance company. The fee we paid Hillis was greatly exceeded by the service we received and by the final compensation we received. My recommendation is to call them as soon as you have a claim. read more

After a mishap with the prep sink in our kitchen last summer we were faced with a flooded basement, kitchen and adjacent floors ruined, furniture damaged, and a lot of confusion. Despite having been a homeowner for decades I had never filed a claim. Fortunately our contractor told us about Hillis Adjusters. From the start they were a strong advocate for us with the insurance company. Instead of depending on the company that was trying to give us the smallest benefit possible, we had Hillis in our corner, explaining things every step of the way, patiently answering questions, and always fighting to make sure we got the payment we needed to restore our home! We will always be grateful for their insight, their professionalism, and their experience! read more

I'm really glad i decided to call Hillis. Thought I didn't have a big enough claim for an adjuster to get involved when I had a break in, but i called and Hillis was happy to help. They recovered so much more money than I knew was possible. They were really fiendly and professional too. The only part of the experience that could have made this thing be not as good is that when i had questions and tried to speak to the adjuster about them the ladies who answer the phones were trying to answer the questions for me but they were no where near as knowledgeable as the adjuster. If i had not pushed further to ask that the actual adjuster call me back then i would not have received pertinent information from a confident knowledgeable source. Every should speak to the adjuster if they have questions that go beyond general stuff. read more

I don't know where I would be without Hillis Public Adjusters! Such a pleasure to work with and so professional. Hillis took care of EVERYTHING! I know they recovered more than I would have gotten had I tried to handle everything myself. Highly recommend you turn everything over to them! read more

I had an unfortunate incident happen to my kitchen due to a broken pipe and had to file a claim with my insurance company. Initially I thought it was a clear cut claim but then discovered that most of my kitchen needed to be repaired/replaced. Hillis helped me through the entire claim and managed the process for me. The claim was a nightmare but Hillis managed to recover all of my losses. I really appreciate all the work they did for me in the coming months. The insurance company didn't make things easy and it was nice to have such an experienced company represent me and negotiate the claim on my behalf. Would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who feels overwhelmed with the home insurance claim process. read more

With an unfortunate event that happened to my father's convenience store in Bristol, PA on September 2019, Hillis was there to make my father's concerns at ease. My father cannot thank Hillis Adjustment Agency enough and he is grateful to have such a great company to work with. He 100% recommends this company! read more

I used Hillis to help with a homeowners insurance claim and it was very easy and made the whole process quicker and easier than I expected. What a wonderful experience. Recently, my home was broken into and I decided to make calls the day after cleaning up to get my property damages repaired. I was inundated with concerns and pricing that was getting out of control. I had no experience with such a task, so I decided to seek help. Hillis Public Adjusters presented themselves in a caring and knowledgeable manner. Their expertise in navigating through this arena proved to be invaluable. I would like to personally thank Paul and Lynette for answering every question, stepping in and advocating for my needs and safety. I have already suggested this organization to my family and friends as my concerns were addressed and my confidence restored as the process moved forward. Again, many thanks for using your expertise to assure that I can sleep peacefully at night now! read more

Great job from start to finish, Hillis Adjustment is an excellant organization to work with !

I contacted Hillis for a water leak issue in my condo. They were referred to me by a friend. I'm very glad I had the team at Hillis handling my case with the insurance company instead of doing it myself. They were able to work with insurance company, condo association, and condo master policy insurance company to make sure I was compensated for everything I was entitled to. They really went above and beyond to make sure no stone was left unturned. Months after the initial claims were settled and checks were received, I was informed there was still money left on the table for me that I was entitled to which was not part of the initial payments. The Hillis team worked relentlessly to get this resolved and I received an additional check months after I thought everything was settled. read more

Hills Public Adjusters were fantastic from start to finish. They know their business well and treat their clients with the utmost priority. The know the ins and outs of what you really should be getting back from an insurance claim and really go to bat for their customers. They take the fight completely out of your hands. We were extremely happy with our settlement. They made it worth the wait. Now we can restore our home back to the way it was before our water damage occurred. Thank you Ralph and team! read more

Awesome experience. The adjuster was very thorough and explained exactly how to solve our issues with a major water damage problem. He took his time to measure all of the damaged rooms and ask many important questions that I would of never asked the insurance company. I would highly recommend Hillis as your public adjuster. They do an outstanding job and the insurance proceeds came thru super fast. Thank you Hillis. Tom read more

This place is a scam. They made more money off my loss than I received to fix it. They claim they get 20-25% per claim but with shifty accounting it comes out to be closer to 60%. The "adjuster" caused damage that the insurance company would not repair because it was OBVIOUS it was not caused by the incident. I had to constantly call them to get my money and even when they finally cut a check it was the wrong amount. Had to show them the math and do the accounting for them to get anything out of them. RIDICULOUS business practices. Im with Dollar B on lawyering up. Thanks for making the incidence a worse experience than it needed to be Hillis. p.s. The total payout for my incident was $5800 and change. I saw $2100 to do the repairs that cost over $6000 to have done. My insurance agent said I would have been better off not using an adjustment agency. Boy were they right. read more

Hillis Adjusters, specifically Lou Wein as my adjuster, provided exceptional service during a very tumultuous string of events. He was able to take a large chunk off my plate and even though i consider myself someone who takes care of things on my own, i have to admit that i would not have received the results Hillis and Lou gave me without their professional insight and experience. Hillis was kind, but aggressive in ensuring my claim was handled fairly and properly by my insurance company. Highly recommend, the entire staff communicated effectively and treated me with respect every conversation i had. read more

The direction and assistance that Hillis provided to me during an extremely stressful time, proved to be priceless. I am very grateful for the professional guidance afforded to my home and claim by my Hillis team Lou and Larisa. Without their invaluable knowledge I would not have been able to advocate the necessary information needed to process my claim so quickly and diligently. Now, more than ever before, ensuring my home is secure and maintained has never been more important. The time and dedication provided by Hillis to ensure my best interests were met, was truly the definition of world class service. I highly recommend Hillis for their professionalism, efficiency and thorough attention to detail. read more

I have used a Public Adjuster before and was very happy This is an awful agency. Big talk, no follow through. It took months before the claim was settled and they farmed the work out to another company that they are associated with who took a huge amount of the claim, with no cost approval by us! When we hire contractors, we usually get a few quotes and check references, but had no opportunity with this company. Called to complain about quality of job and was promised that someone would contact me to discuss. No one ever called back. Original adjuster left job prior to completion. Please use a different company. read more

This place was horrible. We eventually got our money about six months later. Communication was terrible, we had no idea what was going on. At points I wasn't even sure if we were actually going to get our money. I had really wished we had just gone straight through the insurance Company. The agent we used it was Lou, So maybe others are better but I did not find his work to be acceptable. They also charge a 20% fee which is quite high, most other companies are around 15%. read more

With unfortunate and unexpected home damages over the years (whether flooded basements, leaky water pipes and main living area damages), Hillis went above and beyond every time to take the stress out of each incident. Not only did they make the processes of restoration, insurance, and even third party (HOA) dealings as painless as possible, but they made sure that my family received the most fair result of our claim to put our home back in order! I recommend them without reservation! read more

I've been helped by Bob Hillis and Hillis Public Adjusters twice;in 2005 and again in 2017. First, Hurricane Wilma blasted s.Florida in '05;a friend told me about The Hillis Agency, they worked out an increase in our insurance settlement to our advantage. September 2017.Hurricane Irma sat over the Florida peninsula for a couple of days, wreaking all kinds of wind damage. Bob and his staff met with our homeowners insurance adjusters and returned with a substantial increase. I can only say how happy I am with Bob and his entire staff;courteous and professional. Please no one go to these people they will rob you!! They came to our house and they never have us a copy of anything, they tell you one thing and then do another. You pay insurance regularly thinking it will never be needed but when it is you assume the insurance company will take care of everything. You will come to learn when something happens insurance companies are in the business of making money therefore, saving money is more beneficial to them then taking care of their policy holders. Because of this fact I'm grateful we found Hillis to represent us. I would highly recommend Lou Wein to handle everything with your claim. Lou's professionalism, integrity, technical expertise, customer service, and compassion are beyond reproach. Lou, Larisa (Fishman) and the rest of the Hillis staff were available at any given time to answer question, walk us through the process or assist us in finding help to remediate our situation. We have worked with a public adjustor in the past and did not receive even close to this level of service. I know should I have any issues in the future, Hillis (and Lou) will be the first people I call. read more

I cannot say enough in regard to the entire amazing staff at Hillis. While my area was under the wrath of damage from extreme and rare horrific storms, my issue was from a pipe leak, and compared to what others were dealing with, Hillis did not treat me as though, I was a minor issue, but lets face it no water leak is ever a minor issue. Someone was out within 24 hours, to assess, the clean up crew, who were also amazing, within 36 and from Lynette to Paul, they have kept in touch, every step of the way. For that fact, they took on "the man", aka the insurance company, as my adjuster just did not feel as though the claim award was enough to do what needed to be done and to put us at he level of repair, to restore back to the original format and not have to cut corners. Soo thankful, for the Hillis Team; and although I truly hope I don't have to utilize them any time soon in the near future, if i do have a property damage issue, I'll be on the phone to Lynette! read more

Not sure about some of the reviews I've seen here, we had an excellent experience with Hillis and with Rob Salazar, our Hillis Claims Rep. Before I had contacted Hillis, I had already been offered a settlement from my insurance company that I felt was unfair, a co-worker recommend Hillis after telling me what a great job they did representing him. When I met with Rob he explained that his goal was to facilitate all future negotiations on my loss and achieve the maximum settlement possible within the provisions of my policy. And that is exactly what he did, resulting in a final settlement that was twice what my insurance company offered. This was not a big claim (less than $12,000) but I never felt like Rob treated me any different then he would have if it had been a much larger claim. I also had help from Kathy and Bill in the office and they were always available to answer any question I had, and were fantastic in helping to facilitate the claim. I would highly recommend Hillis Public Adjusters and Rob Salazar! read more

This company is a joke. After all my bad experience with HILLIS, they call me over a year later to ask me if they can do anything for me. Even know it's too late and they knew it. I think they knew they were still in the statue of limitations of a law suit, since they had an in licensed adjuster get the work that they did.( STEVE) they admitted Steve did them wrong in many cases, but then the owners response on yelp is to respond to all the past reviews with the same exact answers that do not get us to fix our homes. He just copied and pasted his response to everyone. I hope the class action suit that I hear is being formed goes through. read more
