I call Bill and be doesn't call me back, repeatedly. It wasn't like this time wasn't bard enough, I had to have this jerk not calling me back. About 3 weeks of no call back, I ended up going down to the funeral home and was told they had my moms ashes back for a week. Every since Dan left, this place has really gone down hill. Don't use this funeral home. You don't need the added stress after losing a loved one.

I had the misfortune of dealing with this funeral service after my mother's passing. The person I…read moredealt with was Mr. William Gross. We went through what I thought was the normal process with me starting to realize that Mr. Gross was steering me towards the more expensive options. When I decided on the lower end of his casket options, he then offered to "rent" a display casket to me for $1200!!!! In total, Sharer was going to charge me over $12000 to bury my mother. After that shocking visit to Sharer, my niece started shopping around for less expensive options. We found one in Sebring, Ohio who eventually charged less than half for the same services Sharer offered. After alerting Sharer of our decision to go with another funeral service they first refused to release my mother's body to Dean's Funeral Home. After finally letting go, Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home sent me a bill for prep of my mother in the amount of $300 and the releasing of my mother for wait for it...almost $1600!!! They didn't even take her to the other funeral home. They just let Dean's Funeral Home pick her up. They held my mom hostage for almost $1600!!! They and especially Mr. William Gross are greedy, dishonest opportunists who are trying to squeeze as much money from my family for doing very little for my mother. Stay away from these people. If I could, I would give them zero stars.
