After my home birth, I originally had another company scheduled to pick up my placenta but those plans fell through because the owner got sick. Almost a week went by and my placenta was still sitting in my fridge. I found Hill Country Placentas after a quick google search, sent in a request, and received a text just a couple hours later saying that my placenta could be picked up that night! I received my capsules 2 days later, beautifully packaged, and Lisa even included our umbilical cord in the shape of hearts! It is such a special keepsake! I was so impressed with the fast & easy communication and service, as well as the care and love that was so evident in the way the capsules were prepared. I can't wait to refer all my friends to Hill Country Placentas! read more

We used them for my best friend and she had my godson. They made it super easy. I made one call to let them know I wanted to use them and then I sent one message letting them know she had him they were there the same day picked everything up handled it sent back the placenta pills, and I think we got a salve and another thing. Their customer service was incredible. The standard of their product was incredible, and the ease it took to actually do the whole process was astounding, and on top of that they were absolutely in the best price range. If I lived in town or if I know anyone who needs a Service they provide, I will absolutely send them on their way. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Lisa & Hill Country Placentas! I had a scheduled csection but my baby decided to come 3 weeks early and at 8pm. I immediately texted her and she was so helpful in getting everything coordinated with the hospital & my husband even tho I didn't even have my cooler. They picked up my placenta and 3 days later delivered the amazing products! The instructions, packages and specially communication is awesome! Im even so emotional over it. Thanks for making this birth special. Thank you thank you! 5+ STARS! read more

They were amazing to work with. Literally the hardest thing was selecting them the rest Lisa and team took care of all my worries. Used them twice with plenty of added services (except placenta picture). They are fast and have great quality products. Highly recommended!! read more

I did a lot of research online for placenta encapsulation in the area and Lisa's story on their website convinced me to pick them. We're so happy with our decision. She's an OG. She made the process super easy and gave us step by step directions with what to communicate at the hospital team and what paperwork needs to be filled out. After the paperwork was filled out and we let Lisa know our baby was born, they took care of the rest. Top notch service and communication that allowed us to focus on our baby. read more

My experience with Hill Country Placentas was GREAT! Lisa was always quick to reply to ALL my questions and everything went so smoothly and effortless for me! I did the placenta encapsulation pills and am loving the effects so far! YAY Thanks to LIsa and her team for all their hard work! read more

Took the pills twice a day and I'm not sure it helped with anything. My son now has acne so I had to stop taking them.. Lisa contacted me to attempt to rectify the situation and refund the fee i incurred via PayPal, but I don't want the money back, it's about the principal. Businesses are not friends/family that send money to each other, they offer goods or services. Different strokes, I suppose. read more

Lisa is the best in the biz!! I found Hill Country Placentas online three years ago while I was pregnant with my first child. Lisa was very very sweet, super affordable, professional, and accommodating! I just gave birth to baby #2 and had my placenta encapsulated again through Hill Country Placenta. I wouldn't trust anyone else to make my capsules! Highly recommend!! And if you're apprehensive about consuming your placenta - I'll say that it made such a huge difference in my emotional health after having my daughter. I am so excited to start taking my capsules this go around! read more

What an amazing company! They picked up the placenta from the birthing center and delivered to our house. So quick and easy! Such an amazing team! Thank you! read more

This organization blew me away!!! They made everything simple and easy and even added a small gift to my purchase. I highly recommend Lisa and her services. They pick up from the hospital and deliver back to your home and accept Venmo for payment. I've never done encapsulation before (started today) and can't wait to rave about the health benefits. Cannot recommend more highly if you are in the market read more

What a wonderful service. I was a little skeptical about the effectiveness of the placenta pills at first but figured why not give it a try. Didn't take them with my first baby and had some baby blues, only reason I didn't take hen is because of the Rigamarole prior to the law changes. Hill country placentas couldn't have been easier to work with. They picked it up from the hospital and delivered pills to my home, pretty sure they drove through rush hour through downtown. Talk about service! The woman that delivered gave good instruction about how many to take. These pills absolutely worked! One day I forgot to take them and cried all day, realized later that night. Took the pills daily after that and had no post partum depression, was wonderful! read more

I've had Lisa process 2 placentas for me, and her service is excellent. My hospital recently changed their placenta release policy, and this time, Lisa arrived an hour after our birth to get the placenta, and my capsules were delivered to the hospital the next day. We were particularly glad to work with HCP with our first placenta, since for nine months we affectionately referred to it as Samuel L. Jackson, and we wanted a special way to remember it. Lisa offers placenta prints, and we now have Samuels print framed at home. The included umbilical cord heart is also a really nice touch. Ours are now ornaments for the Christmas tree. read more

This place and the people are just amazing! I had heard of encapsulating your placenta but I thought it would be extremely expensive and too much trouble. I looked up encapsulating in my area, and after a quick search I found Hill Country, and thank god I did! First off, I noticed their prices were extremely fair. As I scrolled through the webpage, I easily made a reservation for my due date, and boom everything was in the works! I loved the ease, and received communication right away on what is to be done on my part. I was skeptical at the whole process and if it would be worth it before I found them. It was reassuring when the process was made simple and everything was planned out. The day I delivered I just texted them letting them know I had my placenta. She gave great directions and my husband was able to drop it off on his time. (They accept 24/7)! Two days later I received a text that they were on the way to my home to deliver. I had no idea they did that! I was so shocked and happy at the ease since you have no time during the first moments with a newborn. She arrived at my house, super friendly, and explained everything. And to make everything even more stress free, after you receive your pills, you get an invoice that you can make a payment with (Venmo, paypal, even make payments if needed) how awesome!! I will absolutely be using and recommending Hill Country Placenta!! As for the pills themselves and how well they work.. I will have to update later. But for the diaper rash balm, I already have it on my back from an epidural rash and it was instant relief! (Smells great too) read more

Excellent service and follow-up. I ordered the balm, pills, and tincture for my postpartum recovery and feel they've made a huge difference in keeping the baby blues at bay. Highly recommended for new mamas! read more

I was recommended to Hill Country Placentas from my OB and have had a great experience start to finish. Lisa was quick to respond to my first call regarding questions about placenta encapsulation and throughout my time working with them. It was easy to communicate with their staff about picking up the placenta and it was delivered in a timely manner to our front door when it was ready. This is my first time taking placenta pills so I cant compare it to another experience but, I will say I generally feel pretty great. I am sleeping well, have energy during the day, and have felt a steadiness during this immediate postpartum experience. From what my OB said, reading reviews online, and researching the process I am confident HCP stands by their standards for encapsulation and I'd recommend them to anyone interested. read more

I just had a premature baby (born 2 months early), so the baby blues are probably even more apparent than normal. I chose HCP after doing some research and reading some reviews. Lisa was very responsive and made the whole process very easy for me. I went with the Traditional Chinese Method capsules and I can honestly say that I feel a lot better after I started taking them. Lisa also let me add on a placenta print at the last minute. So nice! I can't wait to frame it and admire it for the rest of my life. I will definitely be coming back for future needs and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for placenta encapsulation or other placenta services. read more

Lisa is AMAZING! I called her last minute because I had a feeling I'd need my placenta encapsulated. Lisa was able to encapsulate and get back to me as soon as she could. She brought it to my home and thoroughly explained how to take. I was so glad I did because my baby ended up being in the NICU for 19 days! Lisa helped to make our time in the NICU so much more bearable because I didn't suffer from baby blues, I had more energy and a ton of milk. Thank you Lisa for making our difficult time that much easier on us. I would not have been as strong if it weren't for you! read more

Amazing company to work with! Quick turn around. Everything I ordered from my placenta was done in less than 24hrs. Answered all my questions & I was able to text them personally. read more

After a pretty rough birth experience including an unplanned cesarean, working with Lisa and her team to encapsulate my placenta was an emotional saving grace. They were super prompt about letting me know they'd be in the area for pick up and the turn around time for the drop off of finished capsules was very quick. I appreciated both the written instructions and Lisa texting to check in a few days later to see if I had any questions. Helps to know that the company is run by empathetic mothers themselves, so you feel supported in many ways by this company. As far as the effectiveness of the placenta- I think that will depend on the customer themselves and is beyond the control of Hill Country Placentas. However- mine worked wonders for me! The only day I had a bit of a melt down was the day I forgot to take my three doses. I highly recommend Hill Country Placentas, both for the incredible customer service, but also for the good it will do you as a new mama! read more

What a great service! They were so efficient and easy! All the little special touches made it so much more than just the average placenta encapsulation. Clear communication, easy follow instructions, lots of add options for low cost and the event pick up and deliver! Why can't all companies be as kind, easy and affordable. Super grateful to Hill County for making this so easy for new moms. read more

Lisa and her team were fast and professional with their encapsulation service. My placenta was picked up within a few hours after giving birth and I received my pills within 48 hours. Lisa even visited me in my postpartum room which was a kind personal touch. read more

Hey Lisa, I just wanted to thank you and tell you how happy I am that the placenta capsules ARE WORKING!!!! I truly can't believe the difference I feel from my previous 2 pregnancies. I had 2 somewhat emotional and tearful days when I got home from the hospital and the hormone craziness started, but those were the 2 days I had just begun to take the placenta pills. By day 3, I felt a HUGE difference. I have now been taking them just over a week, and I just feel so much better than I did after my other 2 births when I cried for weeks and weeks on end. I feel happy, I have good energy, and I really don't feel those depressing thoughts and feelings I have had previously. Thank you for explaining it all so well to me beforehand on the phone and for your great service! read more

Had a great experience working with Lisa and Sarah. Sarah picked up my placentas from St. David's North Austin Medical Center (Women's Center.) My nurse was not familiar with the protocol, but Sarah texted instructions so we ensured my placentas (twins) were properly handed-off. Sarah showed up with everything dried and encapsulated at my house shortly after I was released from the hospital. The capsules are small and came with clear instructions and everything has been going well. I think they are working - have taken when i get stressed or crampy and realize i have forgotten to take them previously. Seems to make a difference. read more

I can not thank Lisa and Mekala enough! They came to Fort Hood and picked it up for me, and I had my capsules the day I got home (I did have a 3 day stay). They were amazing when it came to the thousands of questions I had, and I will always reccomend them! Thank you so much! read more

Lisa Kestler is very professional and very kind hearted. I had such a great experience with my placenta pills, I can't thank her enough. I know I was very skeptical about even trying them before I even found Hill Country Placentas but I thought I would give them a shot. I really feel that it normalized my emotions and every time I accidentally skipped a dose, I really felt my emotions rise to the surface and cried a few times (honestly). I highly recommend Lisa Kestler because she responded to my questions and emails very quickly and was prompt in delivering my placenta pills to me. She even followed up with me to see if they were to my liking (and yes they were). Thank you so much for offering this service to the Austin community. I am very grateful. read more

I was introduced through my sister who had her baby just 4 weeks before I did. Being a little skeptical my family insisted on me encapsulating my placenta. After going through an emergency C section and learning my son will be in NICU for several weeks. Sarah and Lisa's kindness is helping me cope. And in honor of our son they donated the pills to me and even drove out of their way to deliver them late at night. I highly recommend these women in care of their business and helping others well being. My days are hard, but with my pills I can get through this roller coaster at a steady pace. I am grateful to have met them. read more

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have Lisa to the rescue. My daughter came three weeks early and i was rushed to the hospital at 4 am. I emailed Lisa that morning after our delivery and she scheduled a pick up that same day. Her swift communication and ease of scheduling were so convinient and hassle free. Its been a week since and I've felt great and, I truly think a lot has to do with my decision to use the encapsulation. Thank you Lisa, and if you are considering doing this, do it. I took the advice of friends and so glad i made the decision. read more

Lisa encapsulated my placenta last month after the birth of my first child. I was talked into doing this from a friend who is an acupuncturist so I figured I'd give it a shot. My sisters both had some degree of postpartum depression so I wanted to avoid that. I have to say it was the best decision I could have made. I feel great; my energy has been wonderful despite being sleep-deprived. My milk supply is awesome- my baby girl actually gained 2 pounds in 10 days... The pediatrician was amazed! My bleeding has been minimal and I have already lost 30 of the 40 pounds I gained. Lisa is very professional and efficient. And she delivers the capsules directly to your house which is so convenient. I will definitely use her services with subsequent pregnancies. read more

I am so happy I chose to encapsulate, and even more so, glad it was with Hill Country! I can already tell a difference this delivery than with my first. I feel better all around and it's only been 9 days. Having suffered from post-partum depression the first time around I decided to be pro active about it this time and did lots of research the last few years. I am so glad I found Lisa! She is very informative and also kind. She treats you like a friend rather than just a client. Very swift communication also. I would recommend Hill Country Placenta to anyone considering having this done. Thank you Lisa for your hard work and dedication for making this available to us. It was very easy getting the release of liability form from the hospital and there were zero issues! Thank you! read more

I can't express enough how much I appreciate what Lisa and her team offer, for women like me. Learning about the different services, signing up & the entire communication from beginning to end was effortless and swift. In the whirlwind of after giving birth I didn't even have a chance to meet Lisa when she dropped off my order of placenta capsules but I received the beautifully packaged order, it exceeded my expectations. Extremely professional & friendly, providing such a service so graciously, I would recommend Hillcountry placentas to any woman who is considering the route of embracing our natural gift. Thank you so much!!! read more

Lisa provides as professional a service as they come. We had my wife's placenta encapsulated through Lisa's company. For mothers who are interested in placenta encapsulation, Lisa's service is very convenient. Although I ended up delivering a couple of weeks prior to my official delivery date, Lisa had no problem accommodating this schedule. We notified her during labor that we would be delivering soon and then the day after gave her a call and she scheduled the placenta pick up for the same day. Within 48 hours of the pick up she hand delivered the placenta pills to our hospital room! Lisa is very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend her service to anyone! read more

I was referred to Lisa Kestler (Hill Country Placentas) through a very dear friend. Being new to the idea of placenta encapsulation, I did my own research on the internet to find out who was the best in town. Lisa Kestler (Hill Country Placentas) kept popping up as well-rated, properly trained and maintains a sterile environment. It seemed all her online customers were happy customers! I was doing this research pretty last minute (2 days before due date), and Lisa didn't flinch. I wrote her in the evening, and she contacted me very quickly with all of the information I needed to make a decision to use her services. I went in feeling confident that I was working with a professional and that my placenta would be treated with care in a safe and clean environment. She stayed in good communication with me and answered all my questions leading up to the placenta retrieval. We felt fully prepared for how to store it until pick up (which we had worried about before contacting her), and we were confident in the capsules we would receive from her. I am happy to say that Lisa drove to my house, dropped off my capsules, made sure I understood the simple instructions (with the fog of giving birth and sleep deprivation, she will keep it simple for you!), and she has checked up on me to make sure I'm feeling ok and happy with the capsules. Maintaining a relationship with me after the delivery of the product spoke volumes; she didn't just care about delivering a product, she cared about me. I would absolutely recommend her to anybody who is interested in placenta encapsulation. Thank you for taking such good care of me, Lisa! read more
