Yep, we flooded.... again. Just like so many others in the area. While I was in need of a few…read moreexperienced trades, what I wasn't looking for was a repeat of last flood's (tax-day) fiasco with yet another contractor. Sooooooo, after some lengthy discussions with the hubbs on self-contracting, and some seriously heavy searching and waiting out the influx of fly by the night wannabe's - I took a gamble on Residence Doctor. I had read many positive reviews on a few other sites and was confident in moving forward. Ultimately, we hired them to do a few things in my home that we couldn't manage to do ourselves, or just plain didn't quite figure out the best way to approach with all else that was going on and having to manage. My initial dealings were with Tammy (sweet as can be and very professional) who got all scheduled and set up for Greg to come out and bid what we needed done. Greg showed up, was straight up, and although I had to all but "hunt him down" for the estimate (to his credit - we were still somewhat in the thick of the flood recovery), it came back fair, reasonable, and very detailed. We opted to do the most important things and forgo some of the others that ultimately we could complete. The impression and communication made the difference for me, so I felt confident that my decision wouldn't backfire..... From the minor framing work (really old termite damage - preexisting) to the major tile job (laundry, powder/mudroom, & master bath), they (George included!) stayed on top of our job from beginning to end. Daily visits to the job site, regular telephone calls with updates/communication and feedback. Polar opposite of my previous experiences with that other contractor I hired! Not only that - they did what they could to reassure me that I could trust them AND the guys they had working for them, even referring me to other trades that we needed! Ultimately, The Residence Doctor provided us with a very stellar end result that I couldn't have been more pleased with! While they weren't the cheapest, they were by far the best of what I've had to chose from these days and will definitely hire them again - God-forbid I need them for anything major (or minor!)... I'm happy to say that as long as George & Greg and the staff at Residence Doctor continue to provide the service they gave to my family - I will absolutely rehire them - no questions asked!!

They didn't ask for any money until the job was ready to get started. Tony and his framing crew did a great job. No one can tell that the room was added on 14 years after the house was built. It's a seamless transition between the two. The room is well built and should stand up to the toughest hurricanes. The cost of the project seemed very reasonable for the amount of work they had to do. I would definitely recommend them for your next home improvement project.

ASSESSMENT ANS ESTIMATE: This is one of the best interactions I have had with a contractor for my…read morehome in a long time. Daniel was super professional and the outcome and process were outstanding. When we were taking bids, some roof companies went on and on and I felt like I was being held captive -- others gave me lower quotes over the phone without seeing the roof! Daniel came out in person, was thorough, explained everything and answered questions but respected my time. He also understood the complications of insurance claims and worked with us on that. I had taken a lot of notes from the more expensive companies and learned that Daniel's company was using exactly the same materials! Daniel was not the cheapest but far from most expensive and he established a trust with us. PRE INSTALLATION: Daniel was super responsive to my follow up texts. At one point I asked if we should go with two solar fans to vent the roof. He said he would be happy to do it BUT we don't need it. What other contractor would turn down an up charge? Daniel came the day before installation to do prep. He notice my lawn was a little long and explained that if the lawn could be shorter it will help ensure 100% nail clean up. I tried to get my landscaper in later that afternoon but that was a no go. Daniel then tried to start up my long-neglected lawn mower and saw it wasn't working. So Daniel came back in his truck with his own lawn mower and mowed my lawn! INSTALLATION AND FOLLOW UP: Installation went really well. It was clear Daniel took care of his workers. Daniel supervised the entire project. Every time one of us left the house, Daniel was there providing safe passage with wood to make sure we did not step on any nails. And now it's been months and I have never seen a left over nail. We have had torrential rain many times and no leaks!

While I haven't seen his roofing work firsthand, I appreciate his ability to bring in the right people for different tasks efficiently and at an affordable rate. He hired a team to remove a tree from the house, handled mitigation work like tearing out sheetrock and covering the roof with a tarp, and arranged for carpet removal in the master bedroom for inspection. He also brought in workers to cut and haul a fallen tree behind the garage. Michael has a strong network of professionals and ensures the job gets done. If you're looking for someone who can coordinate and manage different aspects of home repair, Falcon Roofing is a solid choice! Side note: We still have several exciting projects on the horizon with Falcon Roofing. Once the roofing work is started & completed - I will share before/after photos of all the home repairs and improvements made....so stay tuned for more

After contacting several contractors in the Woodlands area, we selected Primo Outdoor Living to…read morebuild a new construction covered patio. Primo was quick to respond to our initial request and provided a detailed and professional construction plan along with a 3-dimensional model of what the finished project would look like. Kevin and his team were able to quickly answer any questions that we had and provided a quotation within 2 days. Primo handled all the inspections and permits required for the Woodlands Association approval. Primo built a new 500 sqft gabled patio with a 7' wide wood burning (gas light assist) fireplace along with sitting benches on each side. The fireplace, benches and supporting posts are finished in natural stone veneer with a "dry stack" installation. The floor was constructed with Belgard Origins pavers in a Crab Orchard color. The ceiling was finished with a cedar tongue and groove finish along with a pony wall and cedar collar ties. To finish the project, Primo also installed new cedar fencing in the back yard. We are 100% completely satisfied with the workmanship and responsiveness of Primo Outdoor Living. They finished the project on time and were completely transparent with all aspects of the construction. In our opinion, Primo has an outstanding team that completed the project as agreed on. Kevin (owner) was at our site every morning to answer our questions and oversee the construction progress. The Primo construction crew were dependable and arrived early every morning. They did not require any micromanagement whatsoever. David, Juan, Jaime, Chealbi and the rest of the Primo staff are outstanding, easy to work with and can be counted on to do the right thing.
