The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. We all had a great time, and if you book them for your brewery tour, you'll have a great time as well!

Being that our passion is craft beer, San Diego, is sort of our Mecca on the West Coast. I contacted Summer at Brew Hop and they set us up with a customized, personal brewery excursion. Summer and Lars went above and beyond b read more » y hitting Alesmith earlier in order to acquire our release tickets for the Speedway Stout. We got to Alesmith with only a few minutes to wait for our numbers to be called. For anyone that has waited in line at Alesmith on special release days, for tickets, and then waited in line for your ticket numbers to be called, you know what a sweet deal this was for us! We had a great time, Summer was awesome! I would do this again in a heartbeat! And I would recommend it to all of my beer loving friends. The personal brewery tours were a great chance to actually get to talk to the brewers, themselves, not just the "tour guide". Fun! But would be so much cooler with a larger group! My wife and I took the San Diego vineyards tour with Paul Anthony as our guide/driver and it was an…read moreexcellent experience. Besides being an expert on wine, Paul Anthony also told us a lot about San Diego history along the way. It's hard to imagine a more perfect host. The first stop was the Bernardo Winery, where we learned about its history while having a delicious flight of wines (there were six different flight options!) and enjoyed a tasty charcuterie platter. The next stop was the Cordiano Winery, which had amazing views. We had another tasty flight there along with a salad and a delicious pizza. (My wife has a gluten allergy, along with other food allergies, and they were able to accommodate them all at both wineries.) The tour took about 4 hours. This was definitely one of the most fun experiences we've had in a while.

I'll start by saying our tour guide, Paul, was great. He had a big personality and made the whole…read moreatmosphere really comfortable and relaxed. One thing to note, he is very strict on timing, so if you think you've got an extra five minutes, you don't.. LOL Now onto the tour itself. I've done quite a few wine tours, and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. It was also the first wine tour I've done that only visited two locations, which was a bit of a letdown. The first winery had a nice selection, we got three wine tastings. The Burgundy was my favorite from The Heritage flight. The property itself was beautiful to walk around, with amazing scenery and lots of great photo spots. We also stopped by the sweets shop and picked up a few treats. There were also surrounding shops near the winery. Personally, they weren't really my style, but that comes down to taste. If you like clothing and home décor, you might enjoy it more. Clothing prices looked to start around $50 and went up from there. The home décor shop was very cute with lots of handmade items, mostly in the $20 range and higher. I skipped the candle shop due to allergies. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and came with a good variety of items. The second wine location included five tastings. I personally wasn't a fan of the wines here. One person in our group ordered a glass from the regular menu and shared it, it was much better than the tasting options, and most of the group seemed to agree this stop was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the views were absolutely incredible. The pizza included in the tour was a highlight for me, I had the vegetarian, and it was really good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. There wasn't much walking around at this stop, so we mostly stayed at the table and ate. My favorite parts of the tour was the food and the tour guide. I'm glad I tried it and can check another wine region off my list, even if it wasn't my favorite experience overall. For reference, we were picked up at 9:45 AM and dropped off around 3:00 PM.

It was from 12-4 and included lunch at one of the breweries. The tour bus picked us up ON TIME, at my buddy's house. The drivers name was "Kenny". He kind of reminds me of Larry the cable guy with a gray beard Hahaha. He was very laid back and a great people person. The bus was also very clean and had a great stereo system. We were able to plug in our phones, play our own music, full blast, no problemo. Our intentions was to visit 4 breweries in 4 hours but we were only able to make it to 3. We visited Iron Fire, Refuge and Black Market Brewing Company. The breweries are only about 5-10 minutes from each other and each one of our stops included 4 tasters. At our last stop Kenny had about 5 pizzas waiting for us. At this point I don't remember where the pizza was from, or whether it was good or not, I just remember scarfing down about three slices. We had a private group of 14 people (16 gets you a discount). Each one of us paid $90 ($76 w/ discount). Unfortunately my pregnant wife couldn't partake in the drinking part of the tour but still had to pay full price. Cash tips are also highly recommended at the end of the tour. Kenny our tour guide, does carry "Square" so your able to pay for your tour with plastic. If your thinking about booking this tour DO IT! I highly recommend it for you and your friends. If you have questions about my personal experience (from what I can remember) I'de be glad to answer. There are things I left out purposely lol.

Reached out to the company very very late, like 11pm on a weekday to try to get a pricing for a group, and within the hour, got a response back from Toby! Toby was sooo responsive and so helpful in his emails, not to mention down to earth so it was such an easy transaction to complete. For a group of 14 of us, it was $89 per person, that included tastings at 3 locations, beer on bus, and pizza at the end of it all! This is amazing pricing for a temecula tour. So day of, we were greeted right on time in Temecula, the bus was roomy even with 14 of us! There were 2 growlers and not only that, since it was for me and my twin's bday, they even brought 2 bottles of sparkling wine! Sooo sweet! Driving around was smooth, we drank, we laughed, we sang, we partied. Toby would go out first and get everything situated while we just drank on the bus and by the time he came back to get us, everything was ready at each location. You can choose where you would like to go as well, we did 2 wineries and 1 brewery, mix it up a bit! Toby came out and was a personal photographer for us all, which is what I always wanted! :P At the end of the tour, we ended up at Weins Brewery, there were tons of pizza to go around for everyone, and the beers were really good as well! Overall everyone was very pleased with the tour group and how well executed it was. Not only are they super friendly, they're actually efficient! I wouldn't recommend any other company except this one. You honestly can't go wrong with Temecula Brewery Tours. BOMBDOTCOM!!
