i ordered a hot chai latte, which was a little sweet to my liking but still good. menu had a nice selection of extra flavors and bakery/food items. service was fast and friendly. was able to sit and read, though most people were taking orders to go. mostly country music playing, but not overpowering. nice natural light from the front windows

So many coffee choices!!!! This place is so cool because it's not what you'd expect to find in a small town. They have so many different options of coffee brews they really care about coffee and the quality of the brews. I had always wanted to try Chemex Pour Over and finally got the chance. It was a robust flavor and really delicious! The bonus was the sweet potato toast. I had never heard of something like this before but I'm so glad I tried it. It was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. I want to try and make it at home. Check this place out if you happen to be in town!

I met with the owners in advance to set up a tea party baby shower. They were extremely accomodating and affordable. The spread that they prepared was amazing, the ladies that worked the party were very friendly, and the place has a great atmosphere. Fort Plain is lucky to have this great coffee shop right in the heart of the village. The food was excellent, the coffee/tea were delicious, it was very affordable and the staff was friendly. What more can you ask for?!

What a fabulous addition to Fort Plain. Bravo to the owners for bringing this cafe to the community. The interior is airy and bright with plenty of seating. The coffee menu is impressive and more upscale than I expected and the service was friendly enough. They do close at 3pm which is a little early. My boyfriend had a Kyoto cold brew and I had a matcha latte, both of which were delicious. The ham and gruyere paninis were savory with an oh-so-satisfying cheese pull. They also sell home goods such as Chemex coffee makers and other gadgets. Worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for something different.

We didn't have to wait long. I think maybe like 10 minutes. It's a small quaint restaurant on Phila Street not far off of Broadway. We walked here from our hotel (Hilton) as parking anywhere/everywhere in Saratoga can be a challenge. There is street parking right in front of Sweet Mimi's but it'll probably be taken so you should probably just walk. And you'll appreciate the walk to help burn off a few calories of Sweet Mimi's delicious offerings. (And there are plenty to partake in.) We enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Mediterranean Omelette. We did not leave disappointed. In fact, our tastebuds and tummies were so happy with our choices. The omelette actually came with the same challah bread that the french toast was made from. If I lived closer, I'd be buying that challah bread every week. It's so freakin' good! The french toast is HUGE! Really... you should share it. The several bites I took were incredibly satisfying. The cinnamon was just right. And because it was already sweet... we opted to forgo the syrup. The french toast also came with a bunch of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries!! The med omelette was filled with sausage, spinach and tomatoes. I loved every bite. I don't know when we'll be back tin Saratoga... but I will definitely be coming back to Sweet Mimi's when I do.

Seating is crowded, service--while overall nice--was rude when it came to the server we got. She may have been having a bad day, but definitely ended up taking it out on us. Ended up making us feel very unwelcome to the point we decided it was better to try and just get going. The granola was stale alongside the underripe blackberries in the parfait we'd ordered. Had an eye for something sweetly comforting and the food just doesn't match up. Overall, for the wait it has, it's not worth the mediocre food inside. Also, unrelated, but not exactly a place to stop by, get some coffee, and read as you'd maybe look for in a café. So if that's what you're looking for, I'd recommend elsewhere.

Honestly, any old ice cream just won't do- because it's all about the the silkiest and most flavorful. Away from busy Tinker St. in Woodstock, Nancy's artisanal ice cream and menu alone, will make your spine tingle. Named after the owner's mom, Nancy's is several steps above from the typical "ice cream parlor". It's an ice cream and literature relationship that you'll get since they've partnered with the Golden Notebook (a well-known, independent bookstore in Woodstock) offering reading material plus book readings and other events (double-check if they're still happening during COVID). Or just sit down and take in the atmosphere with your ice cream. Flavors represent her worldly travels and range from 'Popcorn', 'Sour Cherry', 'Peanut Butter & Blackberry Swirl', 'Stout'- to name a few. I think throwing in like a Bleu Cheese & Walnut ice cream into the mix would be cool. But hey...my Peruvian Chocolate was scrumptious and hubs enjoyed his Mango Sorbet- though I will say, it needed a bit more Mango oomph. He liked his Oatmeal cookies and my Chocolate Chip ones were too crispy. Prices for 2 very generous scoops are $10 and cookies are $1 a piece. Considering the ice cream quality and size, I almost get the $10 tag, but I also feel it's a bit much. But if you really want to try something different, this shop is golden.....for its flavors!
