An Unexpected Joyride in the World of Towing…read more Let's be honest: no one "plans" to need an emergency tow truck. But if you're going to be stranded, stressed, or stuck in the unforgiving heat of San Antonio, you'd be lucky to end up in the hands of Alamo City Towing. My experience with this company was nothing short of exceptional--and not just "for a tow company," but by any standard of customer service. Take your pick... really any company should operate this way. After submitting a Yelp request, I received a response in what felt like mere seconds. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd summoned a towing sorcerer, Yelp was on point or just encountered a business that actually cares about being efficient in 2025 (I know rare like a blue steak - if ya know ya know). Within 30 minutes, they had picked up the vehicle in San Antonio and were already on their way to Boerne. The drop-off you ask? Smooth, fast, and dare I say--record-breaking. Throughout the whole process, communication was constant and not in an overbearing way, but in a "hey, we've got you covered" kind of way. I always knew where the vehicle was, what was happening, and when to expect each update. They gave me an instant quote over the phone before we agreed to anything, which matched the final charge exactly -- save for a modest $6 service fee because I used a credit card (which they explained clearly upfront). There were no hidden fees, no last-minute surprises, and no cryptic breakdown of charges. Professional? Absolutely. Efficient? Without question. Pleasant? Somehow.... yes. Here's the quirky part: if life ever throws you the kind of curveball where your car ends up immobile and your day feels like it's going off the rails, Alamo City Towing is the rare kind of company that can turn one of the more stressful chapters into something... almost enjoyable. Because when you're down on your luck, it helps to have a someone, anyone that can make a necessary evil like towing your broken vehicle to be more like the roadside rescue squad you didn't know you needed. Other companies take note. There is a competitor in town and they have set the bar really really high.
