The movers themselves were great--professional, hardworking, and I have no complaints about the…read moreactual moving crew. My issue is with the deceptive estimate we were given. We were quoted 4 hours at $200/hour, despite Apex knowing there were approximately 4 hours of travel time involved. We understood that an estimate could change, but we expected it to be a reasonable estimate based on the information provided. When I questioned the significant difference afterward, I was told they estimated that loading and unloading our belongings would only take 5-10 minutes. We were moving the contents of a two-bedroom apartment--bed, dresser, desk, coffee table, boxes, etc. Even without a couch, 5-10 minutes was never a reasonable assumption. Their estimate was the lowest we received, which influenced our decision to hire them. Had we been given a realistic estimate upfront, we could have accurately compared their pricing with other companies. Again, the actual movers were great. But beware of the estimates. In our experience, the initial quote did not realistically reflect the move, and the company was unwilling to rectify the situation afterward.

We decided to use Maxwell Mini Storage to store our daughters' vehicle while they were home for…read moreChristmas. They had the car serviced at the Subaru dealership prior to parking it in the storage lot in preparation for their return after the Christmas break, so we know the vehicle was in good working order. When they dropped the car off on 11/29/22 just before closing, the maintenance/security guy Jerome instructed the girls to park the vehicle in a specific area, my daughter's gut instinct told her this was not a great area with a clear view to cameras as he had her park next to a large RV, but she's a 20 year old college student and Jerome asked her to park there so he can keep a closer eye on it. When they returned on January 7, 2023 they picked up the car on their way home from the airport to find that the car started but was extremely loud! They got the car back to campus and immediately called Subaru to make an appointment to have it looked at. When they brought the car to the dealership on Monday morning they learned the catalytic converter was stolen. My girls immediately went to the police station to file a police report then proceeded to Maxwell Mini Storage to inform them of the theft from their "secure" lot. Dennis the GM was there and was helpful in taking her to the parking spot and showing her where the nearest cameras were and it turns out the spot Jerome instructed them to park was not in a very secure spot in clear view of the cameras. Dennis was able to contact the Owner Nissin Presenti in India and was told Maxwell Mini would help with the police investigation as well as the insurance claim, but did not accept any fault. They also apparently do not carry liability insurance for anything that happens while your possessions while they are being stored at their facility. Their website states, "We have outdoor drive up and indoor climate controlled units available. Our gated property is secured by a live-in maintenance employee, razor-wire fenced perimeter, electronic keypad access, professionally monitored security alarm, fence motion detectors, and 24x7 video surveillance." Upon my further investigation of this company, they are NOT accredited with the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!

That is, after all, what a review is for. To clarify, I contacted you through this app on the 20th, you are correct. However, I called and spoke with someone on the 9th, 11 days before commenting through this app. He asked what I had to move, did it have stairs and where was I moving from and to where and also asked what date I needed you for. I told him the date that I had to be out by was the 30th and I could be flexible as long as it was by the 30th. He informed me that someone would be contacting me back with a price and date at that time. I never heard back anything by phone and even tried calling again with no answer a couple of times. I then posted through this app with the project scheduling on the 20th, four days before your defensive comment back to me, without an apology, I might add. If I could give zero stars for this company I would just on the basis of you not offering an apology for my experience and getting defensive with me when I'm just posting my experience with your company for others to be able to make an informed decision based on reviews. This isn't personal, I don't know you. I just simply did not have a good experience with your company.
