Overall great place. Minor concerns, however as a property management company I am pleased.

Does anyone know who owns HighPointe at Crossgates? Needing to know the next level after the office manager on site?

The next after the manager on site is a lady named Courtney at Heritage Properties corporate office. She was no help with my issues either so I suggest going over her head as well!

Our dishwasher was broken for about 4 months before they would ever come fix it and our air conditioner leaked for like 2 weeks before the ever even came to look at it and it soaked the carpet In the guest bedroom. Our kitchen sink had a leak the entire year we lived there and it was never fixed. And that's not the worst of it, there is so much mold it should be shut down. Its disgusting. Also maybe this won't bother some people but it ALWAYS smells like weed. Someone else I know that lived here it was so bad at their apartment the towels in their cabinets and the clothes in their closet would smell like weed. The management here refuse to do ANYTHING. They are never at the office. They never answer the phone. When you ever get in touch with them they just lie to you and tell you they'll "get somebody over there today!" And no one shows up. They DO NOT care about their residents Please please please heed my warning: DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Our fridge went out due to us changing the temperature slightly too cold. (If it's a centimeter off it will stop cooling the fridge spoiling all your food)Eventually they came to fix it turns out it wasn't hooked up correctly and informed us the outlet was fine. SPOILER alert it wasn't fine and caught on fire. We called maintenance and they refused to come out and fix it for week. I broke down in tears begging them to fix it so they finally came. We also had issues with mold coming from a leak in the upstairs unit. The first time they came to fix it by spraying for the mold. I was told that it's my fault for taking too hot showers. It took months for them to take me seriously. As you can see from the photos actively leaking from the ceiling, my hot showers were not at fault. They kept insisting that it's harmless "mildew" growing everywhere and how dare I use the term mold.... Mildew is a specific type of mold. Also they kept marking our online maintenance request ticket as completed despite having a whole in the ceiling.

Update 6/10/25 - Addressing lies by An L's response…read more An...please stop lying. The need for repairs came about after the bank inspection. They wouldn't provide financing until Heritage (did what they should have long ago) fixed deficiencies in 3 separate structures. Only then was it an "emergency" according to Heritage Properties. I was called with 30 days to the day of the end of the month. The regional admitted that work had already began on one of the 3 building you neglected just a week after the call! Let me read the tea leaves for you...Heritage knew well before they called telling me to vacate in 30 days. Why did Heritage do this? To pigeon hole residents into taking whatever was offered out of fear of NOT HAVING A PLACE TO LIVE. Heritage's offer was to move people and not compensate residents for any of the fees related to transferring services, taking time off work, and the distress of Heritage's wreckless practices! The other offer, Heritage would be so kind as to let us leave and vacate the lease you already broke! That's crooked, period! The other lie is that it' was an "emergency" and I had to move out before repairs could begin. So riddle me this, why did the foundation construction occur while I'm still in the unit? Surely you know how to read what the regional manager said in the email. The email came after I rejected your slum lord tactics and bought a house. I told the regional (Courtney) face to face that I'd bought a house that wasn't finished being built. She agreed to see if construction could be delayed. That screenshot was her response. Construction would be postponed until move out...pictures prove, THAT WAS ALSO A LIE! Some weeks I work from home calling customers and conducting virtual meetings. Have you ever tried to conduct a meeting with jack hammering underneath your feet? IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Don't sacrifice your soul to lie for deceitful practices! Tell me this also, if I had to move out for construction to occur (because it was dangerous according to Heritage) then why is construction occurring?! That's what you can't lie about! Communicate openly? The construction "couldn't be postponed" only because Heritage wanted as little disruption as possible. So they strong armed everyone out of 3 buildings under threat that they'd be homeless! Heritage lied from move-in to your response. Heritage is the moral rot happening in every community they preside over as overlords of dwellings. It's no surprise you're buying up multiple properties in a community just so you can drive prices higher! Moral rot and unethical! Keep your painted tubs, dirty ceilings, bug infested units, shoddy repairs, shoddy 3rd party work selections, and your lies for the unfortunate suckers who just blindly believe you like sheep!

With that being said, it means that I have therefore chose to deal with the unwanted critters, the slanted faux flooring, the shifting & cracking walls, uneven doors, etc. Most importantly the guarantees and promises from management (upper & lower) regarding things being fixed or changed but months later, all things have been dismissed. The one thing that apartment communities have always done is manipulate money from their residents- for various reasons- various ways. Bridgewater can owe their resident money that should have been taken care of 6 months prior but never make it an obligation. When Bridgewater calculates you owe them less than $200 from an oversight- the manager will threaten to start eviction proceeding- ASAP. Is this legal?

I wish I could give less stars. We lived here for a year and it was the worst apartment we have…read moreever lived in. the AC and heat barely work, severe water damage and mold in the bathrooms, pipes that make the water feel slimy, walls so thin you can take to your neighbors like they are in the room with you, and many more issues. Also don't be fooled, their "renovations" are just paint that is so poorly done that they painted the carpet, the doors were painted shut, and it was peeling off the walls. Not to mention the bug problem. Lastly, management is incompetent, to say the least. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. You would be better off living under a bridge.

My lease clearly states that if on a month to month basis there would only be an additional 300. Amazingly the rent went up this year that much. There is a click that lives here that pretty much does whatever they want to include not paying for pets they have when people like me do. One of the older guys actually made an inappropriate gesture to my 14 year old stepdaughter in which I had witnesses, and the other cronies immediately came to his defense saying he's just drunk. When I intervened I was told by management that I could be taken to jail because I confronted the old pervert. NOTHING was done to him because he is part of the older resident click that exist here!

You're close to Dogwood Shopping Plaza, so you won't have to make long drives to get the things you need. The apartments are just a bit dated as far as cabinets and countertops go, but everything is in good working order. The carpet in my daughter and son-in-laws apartment appeared to be brand new when they first moved in. The walls had also been freshly painted. The stairwells are well-lit and are clean. Although, I will say it's a huge pain-in-the-ass to go up three flights of stairs, so you may want to try to get one on the bottom floor. The apartments on the third floor are a bit cheaper though. I have been here quite a number of times late at night and there's never any problem with noise. The balconies are a really nice size. Since we're all smokers who don't smoke in the house, they are large enough for five or six of us to sit outside comfortably. There are no bug problems here and if you need maintenance for anything, they fix things in a very timely manner. The only negative thing I can really say about this particular apartment complex is after dark, you may have trouble finding a parking space close to your unit. You will find a space, you may just have to hike to get to your apartment. Taking into consideration the good rent prices, the school district, the close proximity to stopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc., and the appearance of the apartments, I definitely recommend living here if it's apartment life you are seeking.
