What a great place to have a group retreat. Rivercrest Retreat Center is located outside of…read moreFremont and the camp sits along the Platte River. Cabins can bunk 8-10 personnel in each and there are adjacent bathrooms/showers. Great looking lodge for meetings and plenty of activities to choose from. There is also a "River Lodge" that can hold up to 50 people. Our group of 22 really enjoyed Paintball and the Super Swing and there are various games and other activities to engage in as well as athletic courts to compete/play on. Great trails to hike and if you are fortunate, you can see the Bald Eagles along the river trail. Very good facilities. Groups can either bring their own food or you can pay extra and the camp will feed the group in their dining hall which is pretty nice as well. Got to meet the Camp Director; Jon Classen, who was very engaging and helpful. Enjoyed chatting with him about the camp and its' history. If you want to check out the camp for your group; here is the link to their website: http://www.camprivercrest.org/

My group loved the variety of activities that Rivercrest had- climbing on the rock wall, going on the zip line, and swimming and playing in the Platte River. My group loved it and I will definitely recomment Rivercrest to anyone!

I only have good things to say about Lincoln Children's museum. It's three stories of fun, yep…read morethree levels for you and your kiddo to enjoy. The space it clean, there's so much to do. We could've stayed here all day! The employees are friendly. I love how the play structures are Nebraska themed. And I really loved how they play Disney music on the speakers! The only thing I would critique is the parking. The museum itself is close to UNL, the university campus. Making it hard to park. There is meter parking available however there's also a ton of construction, making it easy to get lost if it's your first time visiting. Other than that -- we had a fabulous experience. I think getting a membership is worth it.

Bryan Hospital and the Lincoln Fire Department sponsor a fire truck experience in minature and health care activities. There are legos, an airplane, construction equipment and even a wooden apple tree with "apples" that fall from the tree. The prairie dog town and animal identification stations are fun too. There's a cafe of sorts that was closed when we went. The only real downside I saw was it wasn't as clean as I would expect. For example, there were cookie leftovers in the fire truck. Since we got there right at 9:00 when they opened, it seems unlikely that this was new. Someone should do a complete walkthrough before they open to make sure it's clean.
