In the not-so-distant past, our dog was spending time at daycare. In the early afternoon, I received a text message from an employee (not management), stating an employee attempted to physically redirect my dog from humping another, and my dog bit them. The message included, "I discussed the incident with management and your dog is no longer welcome at daycare". With such an accusation as this, I was astounded that Laura/Officer Manager chose not to call me and offer a face-to-face discussion. Rather, I received such an insensitive update from a staff member, via text. The next day, I spoke with Laura via telephone regarding Embassy's dog bite policy. From the onset, her lack of professionalism and disrespectful tone toward me, spoke volumes. She flippantly responded, "I don't have the policy at my fingertips, I cannot recite it verbatim, and policies frequently change". The following day, I spoke via telephone with Mandy Swartz/Operations Manager of Emory, Westland, and Lenoir City locations. I asked valid questions; what time did the alleged bite occur, who was bitten, was medical care rendered, were there any witnesses, what type of training did the employee have, how long have they been employed, what part of my dog did they physically grab to redirect him, did anyone review the daycare yard camera footage to get a clearer understanding of the incident? Of those inquires, Mandy Swartz told me; the employee chose to remain anonymous, no skin was broken, no blood or fluid noted, and no medical care was rendered. Further, she stated the daycare yard camera does not replay footage. Why have it in place then? None of my other concerns were answered/resolved. In an effort to substantiate my concerns, I sent a detailed email to Mandy Swartz. A week or so went by with no reply; I sent the email a second time. Again, she made the conscious decision to ignore me, the consumer. I called the Westland location and left messages twice with staff, and again, she lacked moral courage to reply. In my humble opinion, reviews are intended to provide honest feedback on businesses in which potential consumers may be interested in. Before my husband and I enrolled our dog at Embassy Veterinary Center, Emory Road, we read reviews, spoke with neighbors, and this business seemed reputable. Unbeknownst to me, several of the 5-star reviews submitted were by Embassy employees, to include the Operations Manager, Mandy Swartz. Additionally, management responded positively to the employees reviews. This practice is unethical, deceiving to the consumer, and unprofessional, to say the least! These individuals who hold a title of management, have absolutely zero integrity. The incredibly high staff turnover rate of the front desk/daycare employees is a true reflection of the inept management, at so many levels. My husband and I are extremely grateful to all the employees who cared for our dog. Each and every day he was under their care, they displayed compassion, integrity, and always a smile on their face. They have all left this place of employment, and we could not be happier for them. Lastly, there are too many other daycare/boarding businesses in the Knoxville area to choose from. Embassy's number one concern is money, not the consumer or employees! Thank you!

Front desk staff and vet assistants were friendly and helpful. The tiny exam/waiting room we were put in didn't seem very clean and could've used some cosmetic work. We seemed to get mixed information between two vets, one exotic vet and one surgeon. Ended up being there several hours; had some long wait times between visits to give us updates. The surgeon pitched us options (expensive I'm sure) about hospital care, either at Lange or UT, and multiple home care options that would require multiple medications, but apparently wasn't going to give us the honest info about our pet's condition until we asked what the survival chances were. Sadly our baby was in bad shape and didn't make it. Don't know if I'd visit Lange again in the future if I found a better option, not that they provided bad service, just didn't feel as comfortable with them due to mixed messages and what felt like an effort to get more money or give false hope.

You charged me for a test and I was told it would be filled with her other meds. You did neither. You did refund me for the items you charged me for that were not done. However the heart worm test was done and paid for 2 months ago. Now when you're called out you make it look like my fault. The only one suffering is the poor dog!! Now she has to have blood drawn AGAIN because you choose to hold your mistakes against ME! I'm sorry people like Shannon should not be allowed to work around people or pets.

I've done it all here & can say they are the best hands down. They LOVE what they do & it shows from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. I would HIGHLY recommend Ridgeside you won't be disappointed. More info for those that care: We found out our new puppy was going to be delivered while we were out of town & we had no one in town to help us. I was freaking out. I didn't know what to do and the people delivering our new puppy were not willing to accommodate a different time to deliver our puppy. I was in a bind and they agreed to help us. We were brand new to their business & planned to board and train her at Ridgeside so we asked if they could help us and they agreed to go VERY out of their way to help us (they had to take multiple calls to arrange so many different things they even had to wake up very early in the morning & agreed to have my puppy delivered to their own house to make it all work out for us. I couldn't believe it, I was in a bad spot and they really helped show up for me & my lil pup which they didn't have to do. On top of that because my puppy was still young and hadn't had all of her shots she wasn't able to be around the other dogs at their facility (which was a good sign to me because jt showed they really care about the health and safety of all the animals they board) so they arranged for one of their staff members (Erica, who was also amazing) to watch our puppy at her own home and train her. Erica sent pictures, videos and updates during the 2 week puppy training which was really nice as well. The owners & the staff have been nothing but amazing.

They offered me service dog training, with the first step being the puppy class (1800.00), then my puppy could move on to learn service work (a total of 4500.00). I am disabled and was grateful they offered this service. After puppy training, I met with the trainer (Andy), who does not listen and will not let you speak. He talked over me multiple times, and also told me my puppy was only partially trained and I would do the rest at home. Oh, and he forgot to work on recall. These folks were hired because of my lack of time to train my dog. I was shocked. Andy took my payment and then finally, after an hour of listening to his ranting, where it seemed he did not breathe between sentences, he brought me my puppy who I hand been missing terribly, (they declined to let me visit), who was very clean, but mostly untrained. Then I was told she was not fit for service. Andy could not explain it other than to talk about 7 lanes on a highway? I then began a panic attack and he kept talking (I have panic disorder which he knew). I had mentioned I needed help with being alerted to low blood sugar. He said it was nearly impossible and he would have to collect vials of blood from me multiple times a day. I asked how the other dogs were trained for diabetics. He did not know. I looked it up when I got home and learned Andy knew nothing about the subject. Saliva is what is used by service dog trainers. I believe he declined to train my dog because he does not know how. During the course of this fiasco, Andy mentioned how dirty and matted she was when they gave her a bath. He told me she arrived that way, which is untrue. She had been washed and brushed prior to drop off. I believe she got that way in their care (or lack of care). If you use this company to train your dog, I recommend recording ever interaction. The owner Mike, later denied me being told they would not train Sunday (my puppy) because of her young age. Lies come pouring out of their mouths. They scammed a disabled person. I am planning to take legal action. I sam certain they will make a reply too this and lie more. Feel free to look me up. I am a respectable local business owner.
