If I could give PNC half a star, I would. Their mortgage practices feel predatory, and the most…read morefrustrating part is that homeowners have no control over who ends up servicing their loan unless they refinance. I recently tried--for the second time--to remove my PMI. Two months ago, my home appraised significantly higher, yet PNC's new appraisal came back $60,000 lower with zero adjustments, even though the comparable properties were clearly different. After I challenged the report, they suddenly approved it, which raises even more concerns. From there, things only got worse. PNC completed another escrow analysis, but instead of removing PMI entirely, they reduced only about half. Their comparison statement is confusing and misleading--one column shows annual insurance, taxes, and PMI, while the other shows monthly principal, interest, and escrow. It's literally comparing apples to oranges, and it seems designed to make customers feel powerless. On top of that, when they returned the appraisal, the report was printed on a quarter of an 8x11 page--making it nearly impossible to review the comps for four properties in spreadsheet format. It's unprofessional and feels intentionally obstructive. If you bank with PNC, please reconsider. In my experience, if this is how they handle mortgage servicing, there may be other areas where customers are being taken advantage of. If your appraisal was denied and you'd like support, you can reach me at properties.care2019@gmail.com. PNC hires the appraisers they use, which creates an obvious conflict of interest--the appraiser has every incentive to favor the bank to keep getting their business.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU!!! to both Debra & John who helped me get a vehicle loan on a great low APR…read morerate. I'm a current member with the bank next door to them (HVFCU) but I was denied a vehicle loan because of low credit history (even though my score was good). I waited about 1-2 months and sat with a HVFCU representative about my denial and if I should re-apply for the loan, they did not recommend to proceed with the application as it may get rejected again. So I stepped outside and looked to my right... glanced at the MHVFCU and I thought I'll take my chances with this credit union I haven't heard of before. I walked into a very nice, modern, high tech & elegant main lobby and was greeted by friendly smiles. I did not have to wait, and was immediately being assisted by Jonathan who helped me fill & submit my application and mentioned he would get back to me later the same day (which I thought would never happen). The most shocking thing to me is when he called and said that my loan was approved! A few days later I found my dream car and went over to MHVFCU to finalize my loan. I was also in a hurry to get things done but I sat with Debra who professionally went over every detail and made sure I sent her all necessary documents. Then within a matter of minutes, I managed to get a check for the car payment. Debra was amazing, she helped me get what I needed, quick! I'm so glad I walked over to MHVFCU that day. The place is not overly crowded and there's always someone to help and pay special attention to you. Please keep up the great work and high standards.

HORRIBLE people working here. NO HELP AT ALL On June 27…read more2020 I made a payment online using my Sussex Bank checking account that I've had for nearly 20 years now. The amount I approved was $412.08 The amount that was withdrawn was $1,312.08 On June 30th and July 1t this caused NINE overdrafts in my account to which Sussex Bank charged me $252 for. On July 2, 2020 (as soon as I realized what happened) I contacted the branch in Vernon NJ and Tracy Santangello wouldn't even get on the phone with me to discuss what happened. At NO time was I advised of my rights, nor did they do their job and file a dispute for the transaction. I was simply told to contact the entity that took the money. I made numerous phone calls and sent numerous emails through their banking portal, to be told that the Regional Manager, Colleen Keever, had to make the decision to reverse the fee's. She left me a voicemail. I returned her call only to find out that she was on VACATION (how nice for her!) I called the Vernon NJ branch AGAIN and the teller told me that she would be speaking to Ms Keever later that day and would ask her and call me back. I never received a return call so I called again at 4:40pm. To which I was told by the teller that she spoke with Ms. Colleen Keever and her response was that she was NOT returning the overdraft fee's that I was to seek it from the entity who caused it and that "if I should still have an issue with that decision I was to contact her again when she returns from VACATION ON JULY 20TH! I have since been fighting for WEEKS with the entity who refuses to return the fee's. I have emailed through that Sussex Bank portal to every executive and customer service and have BEEN IGNORED. Today, July 30th, I figured I would try something else. I called another branch in the same county, different area and ask what the procedure was for someone taking more money than authrorized. I was told that the first step was to contact the entity and if no resolution that they would place a dispute. I asked what about the overdraft fee's that occured as a result -- I was told that if the dispute was approved then the fee's would be returned. This is the FIRST time anyone said anything about this to me.! All of these weeks gone by, all of the calls and emails and voicemails for what? The Vernon NJ branch was SUPPOSED to have filed a dispute on my behalf and they NEVER OFFERED TO DO SO. The branch manger, Tracy Santangello NEVER GOT ON THE PHONE The regional manager, Colleen Keever, decided that her VACATION was more important -- in a time in our world and area where people are getting sick and dying from Covid19, people are unemployed, in mortgage forbearance, deferring on car payments and credit cards, struggling to keep their power on and food on their tables, Sussex Bank One CHOSE TO CAPITALIZE on FRAUD and they themselves STOLE $252 from my account as well. There's been NO help and NO accountability. I've since closed my account and will be going to the branch that I spoke with today who said they would place the dispute. VERNON NJ BRANCH and the Regional Manager and every executive listed on their website did NOTHING to help when someone stole money from my account. I've since placed complaints with banking oversights as well. This has to stop somewhere somehow! These people are the lowest of the low!
