Highland Pets!! Coconut and I were heartbroken after being fired from his first groomer. We were told he was aggressive and difficult to deal with and that they could not handle him. And to be fair, I understand that Coconut isn't an easy pup, given he is deaf and partially blind. He sees moving hands as threats and can easily be overwhelmed with unknown environments. So there is no animosity toward that groomer! But thank Buddha we found Thais at Highland Pets! She was so patient with Coconut and was committed to working with him even though his first couple of cuts were rough. Now I drop him off and pick him up with zero worries. Great grooming for dogs 30 pounds or less. Thais goes above and beyond...always has a little diorama to pose your pooch after grooming that corresponds to the season. Tess is not really keen on going to grooming but her massive double coat is always smooth, soft, and silky after she's done. They won Best Of Holladay in the grooming category recently. read more

We had been taking our dogs here for years. Always tipped well. However 2 hours became 4 hours, last couple times, 5 1/2 hours, then last time 8 hours. When my husband asked if they could give us a Two hour window they said, no, only a 4 hour window which we accepted. Then they cancelled the next day and sent snarky messages about deleting us permanently from their records. Very thin skinned. Don't even think about asking about delays, they will drop you even if you've been a longstanding client. We've never lodged a complaint until this one. Not a way to run a business. read more

Our dog groomer we've visited for a couple of years disappeared. Then the establishment went out of business. We found a new groomer but it was a little too far... in Sandy and we're in Millcreek. I stumbled upon Highland Pets and am so glad I did! I completed the registration online and received a text back from Thais the same day. I was fully prepared to not be scheduled for at least a month but was offered an appt the next week! The location was easy to get to and they did a great job grooming my 10lb terrier mix, Ellie. She's an older dog that gets a little nervous but was happy and content in the fenced in area when I picked her up. Highly recommend! read more

Gone Downhill, Real Bad! Had been bringing my dog here for 6 years., every 4 weeks..tipped her very well. Recently she began cancelling appointments. Then, her typical 60 min. (65 tops) became 90 min. When I asked why she gave ME an attitude (and a lie). Then, a week before his next appointment, she cancelled all our appointments for the remainder of this year. Took me all of about 5 minutes to find a new groomer that told me she's heard about this place and what they've done to their clients. Said she has added 5 of their former clients in just the last month. read more

I was coming here and LOVE the groomers. They do an amazing job. Why one star, well because both of my dogs passed away in Nov and then one in Dec and I cancelled my appointment for obvious reasons, well I rescued a small maltipoo and when I called to make an appointment they said they are not taking new dogs. I explained that I have been a customer and he said that because of COVID it is hard to take new pets so I asked if I could be put on a list and he said no, I was taken aback. So I guess this review is pointless since they are not taking new dogs. I just basically wanted to vent. As an existing customer I thought I would be grandfathered in. I am very sad. read more

Helen P., I was there while my dog was being groomed when your husband came in. He was aggressive and belligerent to Jason. He parked in the driveway so no one could get in or out, and he brought your dog in with no leash. She proceeded to jump right up on my open laptop! Your husband got so worked up that I feared he would become physically violent, so I packed up my things and left. Of course, the driveway was blocked, so I couldn't go anywhere but the parking lot. Thais and Jason have always worked hard at doing a great job on my dog. If I notice a problem, they fix it on the spot when I look him over before going home. I will continue to use their services as long as they let my crazy, hyper dog in to their safe haven! read more

This groomer is beyond talented. Places and people like this only exist in our dreams. I am soo attached to my dog And feel like a terrible person leaving her. But this groomer is a gift from God.. Her husband is so sweet, polite, just sooo nice..and also so giant tall and all muscles and it was funny and so cute to watch my little 5 pound maltese go right to him and she stared at him & instantly warmed up to him and loved him.. They are so nice and helpful and call us as soon as your dog is done. This was my 2nd visit and I meant to wright a review the first time but I never finished it. The groomer came out and talked to me and my husband and asked us all kinds of questions and we showed her some pics from the first visit and what we liked and added a few more details and she was happy to do so and wanted to very much make sure she understood exactly what we wanted. When we were called an hour or so later, I was SHOCKED! She looked SO BEAUTIFUL! GORGEOUS! PRETTIER than I ever imagined she could halve. She is a artist! She went above and beyond and cut my dog with so much detail. I felt she was completely undercharging us for such a great job. Wow... This places seems like a hidden gem.... AMAZING! There are NO CAGES! Can you imagine? Seriously makes a big difference when people love what they do for a living. I would have to learn how to groom my dog myself if she ever closed her buisines.
