We were offered compensation, which is fair, then mentioned we would probably wait to replace until a future re-roof due to cost of reproduction mouldings. The price of replacement would be high due to the unique/custom profile of the Victorian mouldings, and it seems we scared him off... he allowed us to borrow his ladder but never responded to future messages. Ladder was picked up but communication never resumed, it has become clear we are no longer desired as clients. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
