I went to Highland dental in Newport Vt. it took them 5 months to get the denture they told me it takes that long for perfection after the long wait I got them. and It's been a pain full journey and still is. the denture`s cost $5000 way to much money. and when I started, I ask if they take Humana for dentures they said yes {they lied} Humana did pay $2000, and I'm stuck with the rest. again, I ask them they told me they don't have a payment plan I`m on SSI I tried to make a payment they want the full amount. I highly recommend Highland Dental! My partner needed an emergency extraction and they were able to get him in faster than any other office in northeastern Vermont. 45 minutes after he went in, the job was done! The dentist and the nurse were incredibly caring, and made sure my partner was comfortable. We will be back for regular cleanings and any other work that we need done on our teeth. This dentist is a keeper! read more

Highland Dental used to be great! Then they changed hands about a year ago, and since then it's been iffy as to who you'll get or what the treatment will be like. Also, the names of the dentists keep shifting, so if you're looking to have an In Network Provider--good luck. My husband was seen at the end of 2023 by a Dr. Mohammedi who was rude, insulting, and did not really look at the x-rays or his teeth until my husband kept patiently asking him to. He had waited for 3 weeks of pain to get there just so he could have an antibiotic prescription--to kill the infection which was giving him heart pains. What used to be in network, no longer was. For this we owe $258 after the insurance covered their acceptable charge rate for basic x-rays and inspection. They don't list their doctors, you can't make appointments online, and their charges, if you don't get an in network listed Dentist, are too much. You may get a nice dentist, but don't count on it. read more

was seen back in 2020 for 2 wisdom teeth being removed- when I was finally seen the traveling dentist told me that we were ready to start with no type of numbing or anything. When I called for the appointment I had specifically asked to be 'put under' for the procedure- the dentist told me they dont to that there. So, he went around to find some nova cane for me. Procedure went fine. When it was over, the dentist left and I was told if there are any problems to call. Went to check out and was told I was all set. Fast forward to Jan of 2024, I get a text message about a balance owed, so I called the office as I thought it could have been spam. The front desk receptionist told me I owed money. When the receptionist relayed back my address, name and insurance information the only thing they had right was my name. They never took my insurance information and they had my address as 'Newport, VT'- no house number, no street and the kicker- I have never lived in Newport. I was having WEEKLY phone calls with front desk from Jan to March waiting for call backs and information to submit to my insurance company at the time and was never hearing back. Finally spoke to a 'manager' in March and she had never heard of my case. Through our conversation she made me feel as though they were going to 'write off the balance' because it was an error made on their end- two weeks later I received a collections letter in the mail. Started calling again to speak with billing and they sent me the documents the insurance company needed and I had not had to speak with them until recently when the insurance company noticed that the billing invoice and the info they filled out on the claim had 2 different business names. I tried to email the office with the address I had back in March and that email was discontinued. Called the office from my cell and my house number and the calls were unanswered. Called restricted (*67) and the lady who picked up told me I had the wrong number. Called TWICE from my office phone at work and finally got someone to answer, of which you could hear in the background another lady asking the one who answer "if she was sure she really wanted to answer that call". I simply asked for the email address for the billing department. I was given that information and sent along an email to the billing department with the request that the insurance company is looking for- and now we wait. From my experience with them these last 5 months I will most likely going to have to start the phone call logs again as they do not seem to like to answer my phone calls or emails. If you are looking for dental care- I would look elsewhere. read more

This dental practice has changed hands in the past year. It appears Dr. Bosco continues to see some patients on Friday's. During the week a new dentist from Montreal, Dr. Miriam Selmi, is providing dental care. I recently had her treat a cavity that was at the base of my tooth with decay near the root. I was very happy with the care she provided. She was very meticulous and careful in her approach...like a artist that was sculpting my tooth. When the anesthetic wore off, I felt a few twinges of pain over the next 24 hours. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of care I received. I just left my first appointment with Highland dental. I was a little hesitant going in because the other reviews on yelp were not great. I was SO surprised and pleased with my experience today. I didn't wait long to be seen, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Jodi my hygienist was awesome (I hate cleanings and this one was not a bad experience at all). The dentist was very nice and thorough, yet she did not make me feel pressured at all. Overall, I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone. read more

I have been thinking of changing for a while now. When I had a crown replaced they couldn't get the angle of the x-ray so it took five different x-rays. On a previous occasion I had to have the crown re- cemented the dentist kept tapping the tooth which was sensitive due to the nerve still in the tooth. I told her it was sensitive , but she didn't care. The crown had been previouly filled so it needed another filling , but the dentist just filled the tooth with an acrylic glue for the filling and re-cementing. It is now concave. This cleaning lasted 15 mins. and the tech that came to the waiting room acted as if I were bothering her. I have lived in a lot of different states and have gone to a lot of great dentists, but I can honesly say this practice is the worst I have ever been to. read more

I have had no complaint about this practice and in all honesty - they are the least invasive as possible with great results. Where I used to live, a dentist had an oral surgeon come and consult (cost me a fortune for 15 minutes!) regarding a wisdom tooth problem I had and they wanted to extract at least 2 teeth (above and below) and then oral surgery for the wisdom tooth! Dr Bosco removed the one neighboring dead tooth and said, let's wait and see if it migrates - and it did slowly but surely! My wisdom tooth is no longer a problem for me - it is now vertical vs horizontal. The other dentists & dental hygienists in the practice are awesome as well. read more

Not a happy camper. I booked an appointment for a emergency extraction a week prior, was forced to postpone right after booking the appointment. Waited a week in AGONY basically, only to get to the office and not even see the dentist they told us we would see. Instead, we get a newbie fresh out of dental school, or at least fresh to the practice at this office. Small asian looking girl, very rude and didn't even seem like she wanted to be there or do the extraction. Kept trying to get me to postpone again to a 4pm slot then another day. The reason was because a woman came in with her kids and wanted to be seen right away, so they tried to push me out to see her as a higher priority I guess. Anyways, this girl was very very unprofessional. Right off the bat, looking at me like i had 9 heads. Asking me questions of whats going on without even looking at my file, had no clue It was a emergency appointment, and knew my tooth was infected but wanted to pull anyways without using antibiotics head of time. Then, when using the partial numbing gel (she thought i had no idea what the gel did like im an idiot), she barely put it in my mouth, just put it on a swab half ass and then walked over to get the needle. Didn't wait a few mins, did not make sure I was numb, did not ask any questions, just rushed the procedure and when I asked her to wait for it to kick in a bit as your suppose to, rolled her eyes, dropped the needle or tool on the table, and walked behind me like I was somehow inconveniencing her for having her do her job right! I was so disgusted at this point i got up and just walked out. I would not recommend this place to anybody who cares about their health. You do not do this to people. When you have a infected tooth, you prescribe antibiotics for at least a week, then attempt to pull the tooth, not this. You also do not half ass put on gel then right away try to poke somebody, especially with that unprofessional careless attitude. I don;t know were they got this new girl, but they need to fire her ASAP. Not only this, but the newbie was telling the person I was with and the receptionist I thought the gel was to fully numb me like I was an idiot when obviously I am not and apparently, know a bit more about the procedure then she does. She just came in like she did not even want to be there or do the job. She could have easily just had me wait, and see another dentist, and this place should have informed us that the dentist (who I'm sure was older, more professional, and had experience) I was originally suppose to see was not in that day. We do not have a ride. We have to get them from somebody we know and it is rare, so to have to drive all the way to Newport, VT to get seen and then have to go through this, is absolutely ridiculous. They are shady indeed like the last reviewer has stated and they obviously do not care about their patients unless they got better insurance. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I rate this business a zero... My Dad had an appointment and they refused him due to his insurance. He is in extreme pain and didn't bat an eye. This is extremely inhuman and I am appalled by their practice..... Never would I ever refuse a patient in such pain. Why not help the patient then negotiate payment options after?!? How rude of a practice. Get a heart and buy better personality for your practice. I wouldn't recommend this dental office to ANYONE.... read more
