I'm only vacationing in the area for the summer and needed a good haircut. Looked up the reviews found Highland barbers booked an appointment with Jeff, outstanding haircut. Will be back next summer for sure. Thank you Jeff. read more

Today I was driving along New Boston Road and was in need of a haircut. I caught out of the corner of my eye the business location. I went in and was greeted and asked if I had a reservation which I did not. I asked do you take walk ins and the young man said yes. He asked my name and was extremely engaging. He took great care to detail and when I was done I couldn't have been happier. I had just moved into the area and was delighted to find them. As I was told earlier reservations were the easiest way to get service. However, they would welcome walk ins if you did have one. He gave me a business card As promised. Thanked me for coming in and I know this will be my go to shop in the Fall River area. Oh and did I say I was quite pleased with the haircut. read more

Been going to Highland Barbers for a few years. First as a walk in now as a regular client. I have always been satisfied with my haircut and beard line up. The barbers are professionals and the atmosphere reflects that in the shop. Adam was my barber then I went to John. Both guys are skilled in their craft. They accommodate me the best that they can. Especially John, he has stayed late many times and has gotten me in when I needed a hair cut. I know I can count on Highland when I need a haircut. Thanks guys. read more

Was growing my hair for around 4 months, going on vacation in a few days, and just wanted a low fade around the sides to clean it up, which were already visibly lower on my outstanding Afro. I guess with any new barbershop, you ask for something, and they end up cutting your hair however tf they want. Happens everywhere but this time was different, because the middle of my head where the top meets the back was low, and above my temple was cut........which completely ruined my day, leaving like a forward hightop fade atop my head. Didn't even notice the attempt at giving me a bald spot in the center of my head until I got home.......I immediately when back to the shop. But like others have said, they really take their time, unless you're me, returning to the shop after 20mins because of some weird style on the back of my head. At that point you can sit and he'll fix it by giving you a one all around quickly, and I'll take my anger out on something more productive than YELP. read more

Jeff is the most talented barber in the City. I come out feeling like a million bucks every time. Great vibes too.

I've been searching for a good reliable barber/shop for quite sometime and decided to try Highland Barbers. I really couldn't be more happy and satisfied that I decided to give this business a try. probably THE best haircut I've received in many many years. I brought in a small photo on my phone and asked Anthony if he could do something like this and 30 minutes later I was done. Great Job by Anthony!! Very nice, clean and professional establishment. 5 Starr recommendation!!!!! read more

As mentioned in many reviews on here, this is hands down the best barber shop in the area. I'll start off by saying that as you walk in the atmosphere feels light, clean and upscale. It's fairly small, with 3 chairs - but honestly, I think it's for the best as it makes the place less hectic. The guys are also extremely laid back. As a female who goes to barber shops as opposed to hair salons, some places/crowds can be pretty rough or not accepting. This place is nothing like those, but very welcoming instead. They go out of their way to focus on YOU, talk to YOU and make sure that they inform you of what they're doing with your hair along the way. I've been to plenty of shops where the barber will ask you what you'd like and then proceed to spend the next half out shouting across the room to hold a conversation with their friend. Lastly, I'd like to give Nelson a shoutout. As I mentioned, I really wish I'd found you sooner man! I came upon his cuts through some friends on Instagram and decided to book a slot while I was in the area. Everything is done online, it's easy and you get text reminders, so that's a huge plus. He did exactly what I wanted, asked me questions along the way and was very considerate of the lengths I had asked for. He then styled it before sending me out into the world, and let me tell you, I received compliments ALL NIGHT. It was an awesome experience altogether! Thanks Nelson! (Just a side note, he's cash only which I should've asked beforehand. But he was really understanding and patient! This isn't a bad thing, just mentioning for anyone who might be going there next.) read more

4 1/2 stars! The great: 1.The owner responded to my appointment inquiry late night the day before I requested and helped me plan my visit. 2.The banter skill, every barber here is excellent. I watched an old man get his current and the barber chatted him up then later on the same barber allowed my sleepy 5 year old to zombie out. Lol 3.Every barber frequently consulted their client and left them extremely pleased. You could tell from the new client smiles, and know by the greeted regulars. 4. Respect I was greeted as soon I entered by the owner ( which worked alongside his crew) and told how long the wait would be in a visual manner. Two people in front of you, versus an hour, etc. It really engages you to stay and admire the new school style melded with the old school glamour of old barber shop. Jeff also reminded a saucey tongued patron to respect the children when he entered. 5. The cut. My son loved his cut. But what he loved most was being treated like one of the guys. The whole shop whooped for him after he got his fresh cut! Everyone looked runway ready whether they rocked a man bun, needed a shave too, or requested a classic favorite. The bad. The wait was long on a walk in. It ended up being about two hours. They take their time here which is what you want unless it's the day before Thanksgiving, then you want some George Jetson hyperspeed in your day. You can't rush perfection though so I'll give them that. ~ I'm not familiar with the area so I would've like a drink of water. Our barber stepped out for a second to get one and patrons came in with a drink occasionally. That's it! read more

This is really a great barbershop. It's clean and the barbers are professional and take their time. The prices are very reasonable for the great service you get. I've been to many barber shops throughout the years and none compare to this one. If you're looking for a professional cut, in a good clean environment, at a good price I would highly recommend Highland Barbers. read more

I'm from VT, on my way to an interview in Hartford. If you find a shop in VT that can do a decent fade it'll cost you plenty. I was on my way through Fall River and stopped in on a friend's recommendation. I was not disappointed. At all! Really happy with cut! I didn't have time for a shave along with the cut, but will make time next time. Nice guys, great haircuts, fantastic place! Adam cut my hair and I will be back to see him again. Oh, also: I was expecting it to cost a lot more. $15 (pre-tip)!! So worth it! read more

This is a great Barber shop. The only reason I had to stop going here was my move to Boston, MA. However, I have not found another shop that gives haircuts as good as NELSON. I have not had a cut from Jeff but I have seen his cuts and they always looked great. The guys that cut here make everyone feel comfortable, very respectful and professional. I would highly recommend anyone go here. read more

Nelson is a one man show and he's the MAN! Old school, great demenor and environment....most important Nelson can cut hair EXPERTLY & CONSISTENTLY! He takes his time is picky about his craft and will make you feel special. Trust me, you won't be disappointed....I travel for a living, all over the world and honestly there is no better. I almost didn't post this review as I want him/appointments all to myself:) read more

As a guy who has spent a considerable amount of time looking for the good place to get a haircut, many times walking out much lighter in the pocket and embarrassed/uncomfortable with my new hair, I am overwhelmingly relieved having finally found The Highland Barber Shop. I was able to walk in and be seated right away, and by the time I emerged from the antique barber chair, I felt like a new man. The barber took his time giving me a perfect tapered cut, and when the buzzing and clipping concluded, squeezed some hot shaving lather into his hand and got to work with a straight razor, cleaning up my sideburns and the back of my neck. I've dropped much more money at other shops to emerge much less satisfied. At just $12, and with a barber who clearly takes pride in his craft, I think its safe to say I have finally found the barber I've been searching for. read more

This is a brand new shop so I decided to stop by at the recommendation of a co-worker. I've been a few times since when I need a new haircut and have yet to be disappointed. Jeff (owner) does a great job and takes his time, so you never feel rushed out of the seat which is something you get at other shops. The shop is in the highlands of Fall River next to New Boston Bakery so I advise stopping by when they are open during the week after your cut for a fresh sandwich. All in all, this is my new barber and would point anyone in this direction in your looking for a change. read more

Really pleased with the cut and time taken to get it right and sharp. Shall definitely be making this my regular barbers.

This shop is the best barber shop in Fall River always puts out good quality work and has you looking good

Hands down the best barbershop, not only in Fall River but most likely Southeastern Mass and possibly even all of Massachusetts. Jeff is a true professional and you will never leave his barber chair unhappy. Highland Barbers is always up to date with the newest cuts/product for your hair. Best barber talk you can get in Mass. Schedule your appointment, and you will never trust anyone else! read more

Great cut, professional, takes their time and do it right. Never a hair out of place when they are done. Very clean, very good barbers!

I have been going to the same barber for the last 30 years. Unfortunately, I had to look for a new barber this year. This became a bigger problem than I thought picking a modern day barber. Until I walked into Highland Barber Shop. Walk-ins are welcome, but I get the feeling appointments are preferred. I am old school and never had to make an appointment to get the little hair I have left cut off. With that said, I was very impressed with the shop; it was clean and the barbers are professional. Adam was the barber that cut my hair ...great job Adam. I am so impressed with the shop and Adam that I made an appointment for the next time....Old School no more read more

I trusted Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. These guys did a fab job with the place. Comfortable for all. I was amazed at the job they were doing on the younger styles, despite the fact I'm a low maintenance haircut! Nice neighborhood and a very good business. Good place, good price, good barbers! My best rating! read more
