I was skeptical about trying acupuncture - nervous how it might make me feel and concerned that it might be a waste of time and money. I am SO GLAD that I gave acupuncture a try, and I am fortunate that I selected Dr. Doshi. She has helped me relieve and manage stress and the physical toll it was taking on my body. She has helped my weight loss efforts by not only using acupuncture techniques, but also offering sound and helpful advice (I have lost over 20% of my body weight since I've started seeing her in August-2018). She has also helped me reduce sinus pressure and irritation that I routinely get from environmental allergies. She has the perfect balance between Western and Eastern medicines and practices. Late post This is…read moreone of those reviews where I want to share how excited I am about Dr. Petrina, yet, at the same time, I don't, because I want to keep her to myself! But I am all about reviews and if you are reading this, I know you are too, so I will hesitantly share how awesome Dr. Petrina Jackson is! While I have no issues with my previous chiropractor and acupuncturist, my mobility has changed, and to shorten my commute, I have been looking for a chiropractor and acupuncturist that is closer to home, since they are in the city. This office opened about a month ago and I finally went yesterday. Dr. Petrina is down-to-earth and made me feel very comfortable from the get-go. I forgot that this was my first visit! We were talking and laughing as if we have known each other for years! She is very thorough and while she was taking her notes, she kept asking, "is there anything else you want to share," and not in a very professional-client type of way. It was an easy flowing conversation and whenever I did remember something else, I would mention it to her, and she would take her notes, then she would ask questions and end with "is there anything else..." The whole time I was there, we went through this process, and by the end of my treatment, I believe she now has every detail of my health history and journey. The reason I didn't post this after my appointment is that Dr. Petrina worked on my biggest trouble areas and though it will take some time to get me back on track, I felt so good afterward. I have not felt like this in so long, that by the time I arrived home, all I wanted to do was relax. Not only is Dr. Petrina a chiropractor, but she does acupuncture, cupping, and we went over my diet plan. And I had all of this done for my 1st visit. Truly a one-stop-shop! If you are looking for someone who is kind, gentle, honest, and in the south suburbs, look no further and schedule your appointment with her. You will not be disappointed!

I cannot even begin to express the gratitude I have for finding Dr. Jackson when I did. I've never…read morebeen to a chiropractor before, never even considered I would need one so soon, but life is funny like that. She made me feel comfortable, and our conversation flowed so easily. It didn't feel very clinical at all, more like I was talking to a friend who just so happened to be able to treat my pain. Even with all my tension I was able to relax perfectly fine. Those adjustments and that cupping worked wonders! The office is so close to my house too, which I'm very grateful for. If you're looking for a kind, holistic chiropractor who takes your needs into full concern, Dr. Jackson is the lady for you! If ever I need another adjustment, she's my first pick!

In the last few months with Dr. Joe, my mobility has improved more than it ever did in four years with my previous chiropractor. Not only has he adjusted my alignment, but he also has me doing strengthening exercises in physical therapy to prevent a return to my previous pain levels. I haven't felt this good in years. I also noticed that there's a very negative review here on Yelp. For people that might be deterred by that review, I have to say that I think that person probably was expecting a day spa type of experience, which is a very different experience than a theraputic type of massage that you would get at a chiropractor's office.

However, since moving out to the southwest suburbs I was very sad assuming that there was no where to get acupuncture. I was excited when I found Healing Touch and met with Dr Anj! The Results: After a car accident, I decided to give him a try. I was in pain, had limited motion in my neck, and had frequent headaches. After just ONE treatment, I had less pain, drastically more movement, and significantly less headaches. He had me completely back to normal in two to three visits. I really like that about him. He fixes it quickly and painlessly, and doesn't drain you. I've been to others who want to treat me for months for one issue, and I didn't see results for weeks. Dr. Joe brings it! While she's still in her corrective stage of treatment, she says she's feeling much better and I'd have to believe her. She also quit one of the meds so far. As for me, I'm more or less in maintenance and doing well. In the one and a half years that I've been a patient I've had maybe three or four headaches, all of which were either due to the atmosphere or dehydration. That's down from at least three, usually four to five headaches a week. The chiropractic stuff is amazing, and Dr. McKenna and his staff do a great job. Highly recommended.
