Have been trying to work with this firm on various issues for the past year. On one drainage problem, they inspected and declared that there was no blockage. That afternoon during a heavy rain, we had a problem. When they they returned several weeks later, the verdict now was complete blockage. More recently, you cannot even get a hold of them by any means. And whatever automated responses you receive are highlighted in red about all their problems with staffing and scheduling Avoid this company. They are unreliable, lacking competence and unresponsive. I have been a customer of Higher Ground for many years and have always felt that the service was excellent. Boy have things changed. In spite of my being on a twice yearly program of cleanings, no one contacted me to schedule this spring. When I finally called them to get on the schedule they set up a date. The day came and went with no one showing up or notifying me. Subsequently they put at least 3 or 4 more dates on the website and, as previously, didn't show up or notify me. I have called and left numerous voicemails (their website alleges response in 1 to 2 hours) none of which has elicited a reply. I have also sent many emails which get an auto-reply but nothing more. Today a crew finally showed up very briefly, did almost nothing, and left without even getting rid the oak seeds hanging off my gutter guards. The only thing that has been prompt or adequate was the very speedy arrival of the invoice for this pathetic service. I don't know what has happened to this company but they have completely failed to provide anything like the service I used to expect. Find someone else to handle your business. read more

I'd like to add to the list of reviews that note that this was once a quality company that provided good, timely service but that company no longer exists. I was a long time customer. My gutters were scheduled to be cleaned in December. That hasn't happened and the date hasn't been changed. I tried reaching them via phone, on their website, and through their new jobs request line, multiple times with no success. They don't even have the decency to reply, if only to say we no longer do gutter cleanings. They are now an uncaring, horrid company that you should avoid dealing with no matter what your gutter needs are. read more

In the past they did great work cleaning our gutters twice yearly. Then everything changed last year (2022) after they went to an automated system for scheduling. After I signed an agreement for a 2 year cleaning maintenance, I thought all was well. It's been a disaster. I had an appointment scheduled in December and no one came. I called, texted, emailed. No response. I then requested an appointment on their portal for a May cleaning. Nothing scheduled. Called, texted, emailed. Totally ghosted. Even though it took over 2 weeks to have my initial call / email answered, I had high hopes things would go as planned. Nope. They were a no show last week and no call to reschedule or cancel. We thought we found a gem in this company, but their service level has been AWFUL recently. Getting someone on the phone always took some time, but now you can't get a response with phone messages or email. We will be changing to another company. We are still waiting to hear from messages and emails this week regarding their service AND damage to our property during their visit that was random and not consistent with their posted schedule. In addition, it has been delayed several weeks with poor communication. Look elsewhere...even if another company may be more costly, you would be doing yourself a favor. read more

Good luck reaching them for guarantee work. Very strange experience - they have ghosted me after I found issues with the installation (loose connectors, broken gutter bands). Scheduling, call backs and basic communication - serious breakdowns there. After all this waiting on them, they had a same day payment requirement on their e-invoice?! As far as the install, white gutters with black hand prints all over them - places I can't reach - and there were the issues I already mentioned... that are still there even though they have an installation guarantee. read more

In the end, not well. We needed a leaking gutter seam fixed at our vacation house because it was dripping on our deck and ruining our stain. Higher Ground came out and made a repair in June 2022, which supposedly fixed the leak. We then arranged to have our deck restained. Since this is a vacation house, we weren't able to go back to the house until August 2022. At that point we discovered that the seam was still leaking onto our newly restained deck. We contacted Higher Ground via email and phone to try to get them to come out and finish the fix. They were not very responsive and got a little nasty about only allowing 10 days for "quality control issues" on their work, even after I explained that we are not down at the house full time to be able to see that it wasn't really fixed. So they refused to make good on their work. From my perspective, I paid for a leak repair and did not get a leak repair. Also, they have now stopped doing any retail service and only do gutter installations. read more

I called, they answered professionally and returned my calls. They showed up to write a quote, it was professional and gave good options. Replace a gutter, put snow brakes on metal roof, replace existing gutter guards. They kept me informed of timeline since this was non-emergency as they were very busy.
