There was a moment when the selling agent reached out directly because my agent wasn't available, and Chris told them we could close within 10 days. And we did. He makes a promise and he delivers. He had my best interest in mind the whole time, and I would absolutely call him again and recommend him to anyone looking for a great mortgage broker.

They all said that it would be too difficult - or impossible - to get the loan I needed with my current financial picture. Ali had a different tune. He said, "don't worry, I am going to make it happen - you will get your loan and I will close it for you." The rest is history, I finally have the ideal home and terms thanks to Ali and his persistence. I will definitely use him and Provident lending again to refinance once the rates come down, and for future purchases and investments. Thank you Ali! In addition, Alicia Crosby was such a fast loan processor! Within minutes of any question or concern I had, she would get back and with good news / information. Terrible banking experience on multiple occasions…read more Citi's technology (fraud detection, bill pay, efficiency) lag FAR behind other banks. Issue 1: Citi's fraud detection falsely prevented me from buying airfare to Japan for a vacation. After five (!) calls to Citi, and even meeting with my "personal account manager", they told me they are completely unable to allow the purchase, and I'd need to use a different means of payment. The purchases were through Japan Airlines and AA's official websites. Issue 2: wiring my money out of Citi's account into my new account at another bank was also difficult. Once again, fraud detection kicked in, blocking the transfer. I called Citi and the rep sent me a one-time code via email, asking me to read it back. The email explicitly says to not share the code over the phone with anyone. I instead went to my branch of Citi to allow the wire... and I am waiting 20 minutes and counting for them to resolve the issue as I write this review. Citi is terrible. The run-down building of this branch is representative of the terrible technology here. Update: haha. After spending an hour at the branch allowing the wire transfer, I was emailed an hour later telling me the wire was cancelled due to suspicious activity. I cannot believe how strongly I actively hate this bank.
