Any city across the country would love to have park like Albert-Oakland (sadly many don't). I came for the disc golf. Two 18 holes courses (wow!). The original winds through gentle slopes and wooded areas, complete with tough dog legs and water hazards. The newer course mostly takes you up and down a large hill. While this newer course's layout is a bit simpler than the original, you will be throwing around plenty of well-placed trees and other obstacles. You could spend all day here and never be bored. I hope to be back the next time I'm in Columbia!

There's locker's availble as well. There's a concession stand with limited food and drinks but very reasonable. Zero entry, most of the pool areas are 3'6 deep to 3'. There are baby slide, a medium wide slide and a large slide as well as a basketball hoop, innertubes and a deeper area for the larger kids and adults. There are plenty of lounge chaise and tables with an umbrellas. They take cash or checks, no debit or credit cards. Nice for the locals and those who are visiting the area. My only suggestion is that the teenagers working there, learn how to say "Thank You" when taking money either for entry or at the concession stand.

Partly our fault because we didn't realize that it was not allowed and we should've called it in. So if it really bothers you, definitely call it in. I don't care what people do in their private residences, but I don't want it around my niece and as we packed up in the morning, my trailer reeked of it. The bar and grill was closed too even though it says it's open so that was very disappointing. We were only there to spend the night, not really on vacation, but I would definitely go back if I was on vacation.

From what I'm told this is an ongoing issue. There are instructors who would cover classes if childcare would open earlier, but the park board will not open even 30-minutes earlier to accommodate their best instructor. Obviously they don't care about their paying customers.
