They sent emails to keep me informed and Michael Coates was very professional. As time went on, things changed. I no longer got an email reminding me when they were coming. There were several problems with over billing. Then they just stopped responding to my requests and emails. They told me they sent out an email that they were going to cut my grass in February but I never got it, so I challenged the charge. Even though they said they'd remove the charge, they haven't to date. I've had family step up to help with lawn care, now. It makes me sad to leave a bad review, because I know how hard it is to get new customers. A few things that altered my rating: 1)Found out 12 mins before our appointed time that noone would be showing up. 2)The guys left 8 large scratches on our wood hearth we just built and finished. 3)They weren't fully equipped. They had to use my step ladder, dolly, shop vac and concrete mix that was on my back porch (they used this without asking). 4)Communication wasn't their strong suit. They'd leave w/o letting us know or show up and just sit in their truck. This doesn't make ppl feel safe when working with contractors. 5)Glad my kids weren't here since 1 of the helpers was cursing and started talking politics. The 2nd helper was more professional. Avis did make good after I insisted 10% be taken off after taking off of work for a no show and the scratches. Overall, they did what they were hired to do but the professionalism could be better.
