During the COVID19 pandemic, we had gotten stranded away from home. Our little Fox terrier became…read morequite ill, requiring a vet. He improved but not dramatically. After about 2 months of being quarantined, we finally made it back to Rock Hall. We had heard wonderful comments about the new vet in town, so immediately got on the phone for the 1st available appointment. Upon arrival, we watched the staff scurry from car to car as curbside service was still in effect. I can only venture to guess why, but Dr. Scott personally came out to meet with me and Ozzy. Her 1st observation was he was in respiratory distress. With so much compassion in her voice, she made it clear that he may not pull through this but spelled out an emergent treatment plan to try to get him some relief and breathing easier. He was able to come home 4-5 hours later and he did sound better. When pet owners are facing the loss or potential loss of their beloved companion, it takes a very special person to be able to communicate that news. Dr. Scott not only appears to have my little buddy living more comfortably, for now, she is also very compassionate not just towards the animals but their owners.

We needed a prescription filled for canned dog food for our sick dog, and our vet, in MN, was willing to fax the prescription to Galena Animal Medical Clinic, who was willing to fill the prescription. This was an unusual situation and most clinics would not have been willing to accept a prescription from an out of town veterinarian. We are so very grateful to Dr. Lucy and her staff for helping us obtain the prescription food our little dog required. We highly recommend Dr. Lucy and her staff; they put the health of our dog first and were the answer to a very difficult situation.
