Completely awful. I took my pup in after she got numerous tick bites. Upon arrival I was told that they only had scheduled her vaccinations and nothing else. The nurse didn't know what she was talking about and the doctor half ass examined her not saying anything about the welts that are still currently there (this was a month ago) when they did blood work she was poked 5-6 times before they were successful and got agitated that she was squirming during the process. The reception wasn't great either they all looked like they hated it there and got upset when anyone walked in. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy and they should probably close their practice while they are ahead. read more

I have been taking my animals to this veterinary hospital for at least ten years. Yesterday I requested that my cat be. Given the pure vax vaccine, which is relatively new and is reported to be less likely to cause cancer at the injection site. I was told today that they do not carry this vaccine. And they will not carry this vaccine because it costs more. I think if they would offer their clients a choice that a lot of them would choose to have their animals vaccinated with a safer vaccine. But it seems that they will not even offer it. I was told that if I want my cats To have it, I would have to pay for the whole tray of fifty vials. I asked if they would offer it in the future and they said they would not. Why not??? read more

Very disheartening ALSO THEY WERE JUST RATED 4.3 STARS. and somehow changed it to 5 stars within 24 hrs on facebook? I honestly can't even begin to express how wonderful and big of a Blessing this vet is! Took my fur baby there yesterday for the first time because I'm new to the area and needed my pup to be seen rite away due to waking up and he couldn't walk on his back legs. I called numerous vets and everyone was eather booked up or couldn't see him the same day. I called High point Veterinary and they were more then willing to work him in that morning and did. There services were beyond any expectations, there professionalism was outstanding, there friendliness and desire to help in any way with there customers and welcomed fur babies is wonderful! They went above and beyond in every way with my dog and examined him with pure heart and care going the extra mile with everything they done to make sure he was ok in every way. They ABSOLUTELY care far more about your fur babies then they do any money and let me tell you, that's very hard to find. I can't thank them enough for all they done for my pup and me! They did a great job grooming my dog Charlie. He is high maintenance as he needs to be sedated from his anxiety. This place did the sedation, hair wash and cut for a good price. I felt bad because he scratched one of the ladies. We really appreciate you doing this for us because our dog hates my husband for a few weeks after getting his hair shaved. He gets so anxious hearing the hair shaver. He was happy to be clean and not hot for the summer. read more

If I could give this vet a big fat zero I would. Worst experience ever at this vet. . Would not recommend them to anyone. No compassion from the front desk staff. Took a cat in to be examined after it had been hit by a car. Refused to see him to determine if he would live if received treatment and then the front desk staff had the audacity to tell me there is the door when I said I would take him somewhere else. All the front desk staff should find themselves another job. They should not be allowed to have any job with in the veterinary field. Hopefully they never lose a pet and if they do I hope someone treats them with the same disrespect. read more

Awesome place! We took our pets to Dr.Sink, SR ....when I was a little girl! My mommy and daddy thought the world of him! I grew up and started "adulting", many years went by during which I began to have more babies and less time! When I became an empty nester, about 12 years ago, my natural choice was to once again have fur babies, and the most natural place for me to go!! High Point Vet! Dr.Sink Jr..... Dr. "P".....and Dr. Diego are all wonderful and since I now live on the SAME street as I did when I was little.....AND we have four rescues....(where DO the years go).....we wouldn't dream of using another doctor! I have used this vet for my dogs for over 10 years. I had a terrible experience with boarding my dog there twice in the last 60 days. They didn't follow the feeding instructions even though I provided typed instructions. Only half of the directions were implemented. In addition the space was not ready when I arrived with my pet and I had to wait over an hour when I picked up my pet. They are now under new ownership and the difference is very apparent. I will not be using there services again. read more

I go here spec for the grooming. Groomer "KIM" has done a magnificent job on a couple of my fur babies and I absolutely love the glamorous top notch cuts that she gives. I couldn't go to anyone else. !! And highly recommend her. You will not regret it! read more

I am not one to post a negative review, however I would never recommend High Point Veterinary Hospital. I arrived for my appointment and called 20 times with no answers and I was hung up on 3 times. Horrible customer service and my dog is nervous now when we arrive. If they treat these animals like they treat their owners, I would never take any of my fur babies here. This is just unacceptable, horrible vet to go to. Do yourself and your fur baby a favor and go somewhere else! read more

Zero Stars!!!! We took my Frenchton in for a visit to see if she was pregnant February 28th. They said no she's not. That evening at 6pm she calls & said I'm sorry we were busy & I didn't take the time but she's pregnant. We'll bring back Monday & X-ray again to see how many pups. & schedule the c-section April 11th. Bc that was 63 days from February 7th when she conceived. Ten mins later she called back & said the Dr would be on vacation the week of the 11th so we needed to move it to April 6th bc that was still a good window for the pups & dr would know Monday April 4th if they were ready.(they said they were & there was 3-4 pups) Today is April 6th, Dr Diego called me around 2:00pm & said he was sorry but all pups died. he said I second guessed the surgery bc she was not swollen but she was losing mucus (she's been doing that for 4 days) so I went ahead and did the surgery. There was 5 pups but they needed at least a few more days, they barely had any fur & couldn't breath. They worked on them but they couldn't save them. We picked our dog up at 4:30pm & they charged my husband the full amount. I said I want to speak with a manager. they sent me to a room away from everyone where we spoke. The dr Wasn't very apologetic he just looked stunned by his practices mistakes & refunded $300 of the bill. I don't think we owed them anything. They cut my dog for no reason, lost $6000 worth of puppies & cost me several hundred dollars for what!?? Do not take your babies here. read more

I've only been here twice, and for grooming only. The first time I went to about an hour maybe two and paid less than $50. This time I went it took from open to close. 7:30am-12:45pm.. for my one dog who isn't even that big. And it was $60 and they didn't even do the front paws.. and now he is limping AND they cut his nails but didn't grind them or anything so that are as sharp as can be. Definitely won't be going back here again. So sad. read more

I took my 10 year old chihuahua with a cough to see Dr. Puschinsky on April 9, 2021. She quickly arrived at a preliminary diagnosis based on her clinical exam. I was then given a list of recommended diagnostic tests which including the prices and my estimated total cost. The tests were important to confirm her diagnosis and offer proper treatment. I approved them and Dr. Puschinsky's diagnosis was accurate. He is in heart failure. After explaining the issues to me and allowing time for questions (despite how busy the office was that day), my dog was prescribed two medications. I saw a remarkable difference by the following day which was a Saturday. Dr. Puschinsky on Saturday to give me his bloodwork results. Again, she explained the issues and allowed me time to pose questions. She is the kindest, most thorough professional I've encountered in a long, long time. Trust was quickly established and I highly recommend High Point Veterinary Hospital without hesitation. read more
