He took us out, he knew where the cold water was and put us right on the brown trout. When the fish moved after dawn he took us to another spot where we hooked into some kings, big lake trout and steelhead. Jason worked his butt off on a 90° degree day so we could have a wonderful day catching fish. A+ for his efforts, knowledge, the boat and his energy.

Whenever I have questions I'll just text Tom and he usually replies pretty quick. We scheduled the cruise at 3 but we didn't get to the harbor until almost 4 due to traffic. Tom is very understanding. We brought some food and drinks and Tom has a cooler with ice ready on the boat. Started off with a Chicago river cruise. My boyfriend got a bit sea sick when we were cruising on the lake... what can I say, freaking Chicago wind, but the river cruise is calm and nice. Caption Tom is patient to explain all the functions of the boat (wow two engines) and other interesting facts about Michigan Lake and Chicago river. We got caught in the rain for a bit but lucky the boat has a roof and we brought cards. When we got back on the lake the sun came out again so we stayed a while for a little lake front swim party... kinda funny since my boyfriend can't swim. Tom eventually find a rope to tie to his life vest so he had fun. Finished off the cruise at around 8 as we planed. Great day! Highly recommended!

The weather is probably great, the people are better and chances are you are on a very nice boat of a friend of a friend...(more so applies to females). In short, Captain Kevin is the real deal. If you're lucky enough to find an open slot - TAKE IT…read more We fish A LOT and this was one of our best experiences to date. Beyond the little things ie: being punctual, giving a helpful safety run down and making you immediately feel comfortable on the boat.... Kevin is an exceptional guide who's extremely skilled/knowledgeable in his trade. You'll catch fish and impressive ones at that. I also have to mention, he was the hardest working guide we've ever experienced. There was never a "now we wait" scenario. Kevin was constantly checking the gear, tide, wind, bait etc... he didn't sit down. We were the second leg of his day but you would NEVER know it. The guy is truly impressive and fishing is his calling. We caught 7 fish - 5 of which were MONSTER lake trout. Each and every reel was a thrill!.. Much to our dismay we don't live in Chicago but every time we're in town for a visit, a day out with Captain Kevin will be on the agenda. Kevin, if you happen to read this - huge THANKS again for an AWESOME time!! We hope to be back soon.

We drank a few brews, listened to music, and caught lots of fish. More than anything, it's nice to experience good times with good people. You almost don't even care if you catch any fish. Jeff and Jessika are great. Beautiful down to earth folks and we really love going out there with them. Heading out, we played music and watched the Chicago skyscrapers sink into the ground. No cellphone service way out there, so we're just out there enjoying uninterrupted time together. We all draw numbers to determine the rotation and for the second time we went through the rotation twice. Everyone got to haul in fish. I almost didn't want us to write this review right now because we want to book another outing in September and I selfishly want to go out with Jeff and Jessika again. By writing this review now, they may get booked by more people. But I decided to write it now anyway, because they deserve it. Thank you, Captain Jeff and Jessika! Hopefully we'll see you in September. Tight lines! Miguel DT Sr

The day ended up being one of the best days I've had with a client in recent memory. Every one of us caught a fish or a few and had a blast doing it! Captain John and his mate Patrick were incredibly knowledgable and got us involved from the moment we met them in the harbor. Captain Johns passion about being on the water and knowledge about the fish in Lake Michigan was extensive to say the least. Captain John was also very helpful leading up to the trip with prompt email replies and messages. A little about the boat; the boat was in great shape. Extremely clean inside and out. With a nice bathroom, AC, cable TV (not that we watched any), nice kitchen and seating area you cannot go wrong with choosing this company. If you are looking for an exceptional day on Lake Michigan fishing with family, friends or clients this is definitely the charter you want to book!

The ride back to city during the sunset was beautiful. Patrick filleted the fish on our way back and had our salmon and trout cleaned and ready to go by the time we got off the boat. We cooked our fish that night and it was delicious. It was one of the best days of summer without a doubt! I highly recommend!
