We rented an ATV for a four-hour ride, and barely one hour into our rental the transmission…read morecompletely failed, leaving us stranded in the middle of the trail. Before even contacting the company, we took the time to try and move the ATV off of the trail so it wouldn't block other riders. Between waiting for assistance and getting back to the store, we lost roughly an hour of the rental we had paid for. When we returned, we were met by the manager, Ted, whose customer service was nothing short of appalling. Instead of addressing our concerns, he repeatedly dismissed me and directed his responses to my husband, even telling me I should "talk to him about it." It was incredibly disrespectful and came across as blatantly chauvinistic. Despite losing a full hour because of their equipment failure, Ted refused to offer any refund or credit. His only response was that we should have "read the contract." Apparently, a contract excuses renting out an ATV with a transmission that fails after an hour. After experiencing a mechanical failure serious enough to strand us on the trail, there was no way we were willing to put our children back on another ATV from this company. Rather than showing any concern for our safety or attempting to make things right, Ted argued with us and hid behind the rental agreement. This entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch: rent out poorly maintained machines, let them break down, refuse refunds, and point to the contract when customers complain. A reputable business would stand behind its equipment and value customer safety. This one did neither. If you're looking for an ATV rental company that maintains its equipment and treats customers with respect, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Between the poorly maintained ATV, the wasted hour of our paid rental, and Ted's dismissive, unprofessional attitude, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. If you are however, are looking for a horrible experience and a poor business model, look no further than right here.

This was not a casual or beginner-friendly ride by any reasonable standard. Had the terrain been described honestly, we would never have booked this excursion. I have pre-existing back issues, and the constant violent jolting over deeply rutted terrain made the ride physically painful and stressful instead of enjoyable. By the end, it felt less like sightseeing and more like being shaken inside a paint mixer full of red desert dust. Adventure is one thing. Accurate disclosure is another. Customers deserve a realistic explanation of trail conditions, difficulty level, and physical impact before spending money and putting themselves at risk. Sedona is beautiful, but this experience left us disappointed and feeling misled.

We stumbled across CenterFocus while we were searching for Canyoneering so we decided to get in touch with them. I had a week long correspondence with Garrett, primary owner of CenterFocus and he couldn't have been more helpful. He was very patient with me as I'm a total "newbie" in terms of canyoneering / rock climbing. After some quick conversations, we decided to put aside the canyoneering experience and try our hands at some rock climbing over at Jacks Canyon. The entire trip over to Jacks Canyon was something that my husband and I will remember for a long time. Garrett and his fellow guide Bennet were awesome through the canyon, and even better mentors for beginner rock climbers. Being a couple of people with NO rock climbing experience, and not to mention I am afraid of heights, they were the most patient and helpful guides around. We had an absolute blast, and we discovered a new hobby thanks to the exceptional guiding skills of CenterFocus. On the car ride back with Garrett, we've already made numerous plans on coming back this upcoming spring to partake in the canyoneering expeditions, and hopefully some other endeavors. Our only regret is that we live in New York and can't experience CenterFocus adventures more often. The information might be a bit much and not as interesting for kids though so younger kids I would say 10 and below may find it boring. And Andrea, the facilitator, is gifted in her knowledge and awareness with people and the horses. She helps guide each person's experience with kindness and loving. And she's a ton of fun, too. I've attending the horse sessions twice now. The first time, I brought my mom, who was very hesitant and a bit afraid of horses because of some childhood experiences with them. But once she arrived, she found she could relax and enjoy, even pet and adore the horses in the arena. And this most current visit, I attended with my best friend who's a skilled horsewoman. I was so impressed with her grace and ease with the horses... and in awe how she too could learn from their gentle guidance and wisdom. I'd heard of "equine facilitated learning" but never knew the profound loving and wisdom that would come from the closeness of being with these gentle giants. It felt like a week-long vacation in just a few hours. I love this experience and look forward to my next visit.

My family of six all came away happy and grateful for the experience. For a while, it felt like the world slowed down, and we were fully present together with Red and Flash. Andrea is a highly skilled and experienced facilitator who guided us with care, building trust and intuitively adapting to our family's needs throughout the session. Everyone took away something meaningful, and there were smiles all around. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to slow down, be present, and open themselves up to something new.
