There is a good amount of parking and the bathrooms are clean. I also noticed a flower vase and decor in the women's restroom and the garbage being emptied while we were here so it certainly seems like this location is well taken care of. There is a vending machine and pet relief area, as well as lots of grass and picnic tables. Signs posted say that trucks can stay 10 hours in a 24 hour period but standard vehicles can remain no more than 4 hours in a 24 hour period just FYI.

There's nothing that makes it an extraordinary stop except for it's location right along the river. It's easy to find yourself spending a lot of time watching all the activity on the river. This is a nice rest stop to watch the boat traffic on the river, have a picnic while doing the same, or getting details about all the touristy things to do in the area from the helpful visitor center employees or just picking up the brochures to explore on your own. The visitor center is on two levels, one that takes you along the walkway along the river and the picnic area, and the lower level if you just want to use the facilities and keep moving on your road trip.

The rest area has a nice "Wisconsin Welcomes You" sign for your state line selfie. Inside, the welcome center has tons of brochures and information on Wisconsin tourist attractions and lodging which would definitely be useful for visitors. The restroom is clean and the "you are here" map told me where I was. Note that there is only this rest area for eastbound traffic. The Minnesota Welcome Center is on the other side of the bridge. Some emails on my LTE hotspot, making breakfast, drinking coffee, and doing a little bit of repair on the inside of the van. The parking area is very well back from the highway so there's absolutely no noise from vehicles going past. Four-wheeler parking is right next to the truck parking so you'll have them idling all night but other than that, this is a quiet and peaceful rest area.
