My daughter attended for over a year before transitioning to 3K in September 2025, and I truly can't say enough about how positive our experience was. From day one, the entire team made me feel at ease leaving her each morning, which is no small thing when you're balancing work and motherhood. That peace of mind meant everything to me. She grew so much during her time there socially, emotionally, and developmentally. It was clear every single day that she was cared for with patience, warmth, and genuine attention. The staff always kept communication open, which I really appreciated, and they consistently shared helpful tips and insights that supported me as a parent too. What speaks volumes is that even after transitioning to 3K, we'll be returning for summer 2026. That alone says how much trust and love we have for this place. I'm so grateful to have found a community that not only cared for my daughter, but also supported me. Little Forest People will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Ms. Nilda is truly amazing -- so warm, caring, and attentive. Ms. Ashley and Ms. Joana always greeted my daughter with such kindness and made her feel right at home. I found this daycare on the state's OFCS website, via the search function/page (it's under the name…read moreMarie Bellevue; https://ocfs.ny.gov/programs/childcare/looking/ccfs-search.php ). There are two locations; my daughter was at the 115 E 31st Street site, and Ms. Tanya is the on-site operator there. When I called the owner, Marie Bellevue, I felt so comforted, and that she was a kind and caring person. Then I met Ms. Tanya, and immediately felt the love in the daycare. I saw how Ms. Tanya held and nurtured the children, that they were happy and at ease with her and each other, how they embraced and welcomed my daughter who was just visiting without any prompting or encouragement and knew that my daughter would thrive there (the place is also clean and organized, etc.). I too, felt at ease, heard, and respected by Ms. Tanya. My daughter started a few days before she turned 22 months old, rate was $200 per week, they accept payments through Zelle and CashApp, the hours are from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, parents provided food (daycare provides water and juice), diapers/Pull-Ups, wipes, crib sheet and blanket for their children. Parents can leave their children's strollers, baby carriers and small scooters (and I imagine tricycles/small bikes) there. The entire house is dedicated to the daycare, and the daycare is monitored inside and outside with working security cameras. Ms. Tanya delights in the children and takes excellent care of them. She did not attempt to gaslight me into tolerating mistreatment and neglect of my child because "things happen in daycare" and "it's daycare, not babysitting or nanny service". At all times I picked up my daughter, she was clean, her clothes, hair and accessories were intact, she was happy to see me and loved her teacher, she was fed and not ravenous when she returned home and was excited to show me what she learned. When my daughter left, Ms. Tanya was teaching the children Spanish. My Shepherd Daycare is a comforting, nurturing, educational, and safe environment for young children to learn and have fun. I cannot thank Marie Bellevue and Ms. Tanya enough for their empathy, loving care, kindness, consideration, and the invaluable peace of mind they provided my child and me. While I was at work, my mind was at ease because I knew that my daughter was in a safe place, learning and having fun with her peers. If this daycare opened at 7:00 am my daughter would still be there; my daughter had to leave only because a change in my work schedule required that I find a daycare with an earlier start time. We love this daycare so much; I highly recommend My Shepherd Group Family Daycare to everyone I know who is searching for childcare.

Little Forest is a caring and warm environment for kids to be cared for and to grow. My son has been at Little Forest for two years and within that time, he has learned his letters, how to count, and say many words in Chinese. He also was potty trained with the help of his teachers. I always felt at ease that he was going to have the best care possible and an enriched learning environment for him to to play and to share with other kids. I highly recommend Little Forest as my son loved all his teachers and his time there.

The teachers are very sweet and it's evident that they love the children and take great care of them. The children are well fed and sometimes are even lucky enough to have home made wontons! Despite there being other daycares closer to our home, we trusted the teachers and staff here with our daughter. Even during the pandemic they re-opened when it was safe to do so and implemented new policies and procedures to make sure the children would be healthy and safe. We are so grateful that our daughter was able to have such great care here and would highly recommend this daycare.

We first found this gem because COVID restrictions shut down our previous daycare and forced us to find a new care option, but in hindsight, it was such a blessing in disguise and a transformative experience! The owner and teachers were so loving and caring - they prepared freshly-cooked meals from scratch everyday, ensured our young children propelyr rest after lunch and avoid being over-stimulated and going home cranky and difficult for the parents. Though not a Montessori school, they used many similar techniques and spirits. For example, they emphasized learning through five senses, taught practical life skills (like dressing oneself) and emotional regulation along with academic knowledge, involved children in hands-on real-life projects such as making their own snacks (with ingredients prepared and process guided by the teachers like squeezing orange juice), encouraged older children to help younger children, encouraged self-expression through weekly talent shows, and fostered a community among the families by facilitating weekend playdates. The experience was entirely different from the traditional programming in a chain daycare center. As a result, one of our children transformed from a timid child to an outgoing one, and we were embraced into a strong community with long-lasting connections.

We will always be Toadies at heart, and can't wait for our daughter to become a Tadpole too!

When we were exploring local options, we knew our decision would be based on where we felt he would be 1) safe, 2) healthy and 3) loved. Everywhere we toured, we felt like he'd be safe and healthy. What set Two By Two apart was that we felt like he'd would be cared for by professionals who created genuine, authentic connections - as aunties, as kin. He was so little and our care priorities were more about him feeling seen, heard and addressed. Now that he's approaching Kindergarten, he's getting the same care while also getting support with socialization, learning emotional regulation, and the basics of academics (letter and number recognition, phonics). He has a group of close friends, uses feeling statements and is reading sight words and writing his name. All huge wins without robotic structure or impersonal instruction- which while inevitable in our school systems can wait until the elementary years. Two By Two continues to make progress in communication, family engagement and facilities. We've seen growth here and have been grateful for their request for feedback and impressed to see it implemented. Considering our care priorities and the experience that our son and we have had here, we will continue to recommend Two By Two to our neighbors and friends.
