If you've never kickboxed before. The movements feel a bit awkward at first, but once your body gets used to it (after the first 10-15 minutes), the movements feel more natural and powerful. The staff is extremely friendly and supportive. They are available and very willing to answer any questions you have and provide guidance on your form. Prior to starting here, I had never kicked or punched a bag nor anyone. I'm so glad I tried it! If you're interested in trying the class, they have a great introductory package. For $20, you get 3 kickboxing classes and kickboxing gloves. After that, they offer a unlimited month class package or a 10 or 30 pack of classes.

I originally went in to inquire about the Fitness Kickboxing program and was able to spend some time speaking with Sensei George Nae. After talking for a while about my goals and reasons for looking into the program, he suggested that the Martial Arts program might suit me better. I gave it a try and have not looked back since. The facility is amazing, the programs (Fitness, Martial Arts and Martial Arts for kids) are all well rounded and enjoyable but my favorite part is the sense of community here. The people are friendly, supportive and amazing. It makes it easier to stick to a goal for fitness or MA specifically when you have similar minded people who are working for the same things in your corner cheering you on. I would definitely recommend HMA for Martial Arts, Fitness, or kids programs.
