I have worked with them on a variety of interior & exterior home painting and remodel projects through the years. Without fail, they completely crush it (in the best way possible) every single time I work with them for a project near the Madison and Fitchburg area. More specifically, the owners Matt and Andre have an extraordinary focus on customer care and quality that I've never seen in past painting contractors I have worked with in Madison. By all means, I ardently recommend 3rd Gen Painting for any Madison house painting or deck building needs you may have. They simply will NOT let you down (truthfully, I don't think it's part of their DNA).

I first contacted Madtown Painting & Contracting when I bought my condo in Madison a few years ago…read more I was on a short timeline and needed some wall repair and painting done before I moved in. They were the only painting company I could find in the area that were able to fit me in. Plus, their prices were reasonable. His employee was very professional and did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend Madtown Painting & Contracting.

I am giving them a 2 star because the second crew brought in did a great job, but the first crew I…read morewould give negative stars to. They did more damage then work, broke the back of the toilet lid, spilled varnish on the driveway, and left empty alcohol bottles in our dumpster and food in our fridge. And only did taping, didnt even paint anything. Took multiple calls to get a different team in, paint does look great, but not what I asked for (did all white, asked for them to color match the existing accent walls, did not do so). This project was done over a month ago, still no toilet back even though I was promised it would be fixed, they claimed the varnish on the driveway "wasn't them", and claimed they left us "multiple messages", when neither me or my husband has heard from them. I chose them because of the 5 star reviews and Walt was nice and was kind to my kid, but I would have a lit less Grey hairs if I went with another company.

When the two painters came, they started putting the undercoat on. I called Michael right away and asked what they were doing because (as per contract) they were supposed to be sanding. He said, " it would be fine". As you can see from the pictures, it is not. It chipped immediately. When asked, Michael said I must be running carts into it. I have no idea what that means, and that my dogs must be scratching at them. I do not have dogs. Either way, the paint job that "will last a lifetime" (his words) lasted 2 days. There was wallpaper to be taken off. There are spots where that was left completely. when I mentioned it to Michael on his walk-through, he said, " I never would have noticed that." as if I should not have even bothered him with it. The painters didn't bring in drop cloths, one saying, " they're in the back of the truck. I don't want to dig them out." consequently he dripped paint on my tile, on my floors, on my carpet, on the woodwork. Michael's comments, " that happens." The wall in the kitchen didn't look great on the final walk-through. I asked Michael about it. He said it would look fine when it dried. It did not. when it started peeling I noticed it was only one coat of paint. Yes, Michael said that he would have his men come back, but why would I want them back in my home? They had already damaged my property. One was constantly trying to run game on me. the second pointed out things of mine that weren't up to his standard. The second day he walked in the front door without knocking or letting me know he was here. Started walking around my home. Both of them talked s when they thought I wasn't around. This company is garbage. From the work they do to the humans they are

We previously…read morepainted the siding ourselves last year but never got around to doing the trim (due to extensive peeling on the soffits and damage to some of the wood trim that needed to be replaced). Early Bird did a fantastic job and they were able to do it quickly. They gave us a bid back in June but I didn't get back to them about scheduling until the last week of October when I was fully expecting we would have to schedule for sometime next year. When I got back to them, they were able to get us in the very next week (we got lucky with great weather in November), and they completed the work in about 1.5 days. My husband and I were also working from home due to COVID and their work was so quiet that it did not interfere with video calls. TL;DR: Overall, Early Bird is a fantastic company to work with, and you should definitely give them a call when you need professional painting done. They did a wonderful job with no mess. The once forest green trim and service door are now a gleaming, smooth white; the peeling soffits and damaged areas of trim are looking fresh and well taken care of. We plan to keep them in mind for future projects.

Tom was very responsive upon first contact and was able to come out to estimate the job within 1-2 days. I was very appreciative that he helped point out some areas in the living room and kitchen the were in serious need of patchwork and repairs from the previous DIY job. Within about another day I had a project estimate that I found to be very fair considering the amount of work that was required. Tom personally helped me pick the color and provided suggestions when I was unsure of paint finishes and a few minor details. Scheduling the workers was easy and Jason and Josh did a fantastic job. The wall patching was well done and the retexturing just made everything look right. They covered a living room with vaulted ceiling, kitchen with a skylight, dining room, and hallway in just a couple of days. Throughout the project Tom was communicating frequently, providing status updates. The painters cleaned up after themselves and left everything in good shape. I will definitely be contacting these guys again for my next project.
