Suffice it to say, it was a great decision to go with the Plaza at a Cabrillo Marina because we were able to easily change our dining into the hall. Henry is one of the best venue operators you will ever work with. He answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions to make my daughter's birthday a success. I loved that this venue was a blank canvas that we can make our own. The amount of space in the hall was sufficient and the outdoor space can accommodate hundreds of guests. They have their own tables and chairs but since we had a specific theme we were going for, we brought in our own rentals. Many of the rental companies around the area have serviced events at the venue and are very familiar with the weather and wind factor. If not, Henry is such a great resource that can answer all of your questions. There is also so much free parking at this venue. It was such a huge plus for us because a lot of our guests have been used to events where they needed to pay for parking or park far away to get free parking space. Also, you will have the venue from 8am-12am which gives you so much flexibility and time for your event set-up and clean-up. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

The FUNNEST of all times!…read more Mike was very professional and responsive to my last minute party planning calls and emails. Our graduation party was on a Friday, and I called Mike just a couple of days before. We were able to coordinate and have it all booked for my event. I really appreciate him and his team taking my reservation at such short notice. This activity was the highlight of the whole party. We did the 3 race car stations. Each with its own set of cars and course. I want to say the person who arrived and assisted the children in their play, I think his name is Bryan? Sorry it escapes me at the moment, but he was great! He made sure they played safely and interactively, and he was in the mix showing them how to use each one of the stations. He was on time, set up everything independently and quickly. Take down time was quick as well. The children were non-stop entertained from the first minute to the last. They didn't want it to end. Truly such a memorable experience for all the children. I went with 45 min magic show, 20 min balloon twist, and 20 min bubble show. Even though it was raining that day, Dave was very accommodating and communicated with me the different options for a bubble show in case he can't do it outside. He still made it happen and the kids had so much fun popping gigantic bubbles in the rain. I also appreciated how Dave's magic show was age appropriate with the smaller kids but still catered to the adults with a few magic tricks. Working with Joseph was an absolute pleasure. As a DIY bride the list of items to prepare for a wedding reception was so daunting. I gathered quotes from at least 10 vendors for catering and everyone wanted to nickel and dime everything. Most catererers also had lists of other vendors to reach for linen and cutlery rentals etc. LPG is a one stop shop. Joseph was very professional and as soon as we wrapped up the inhouse tasting we knew he was the one. Super down to earth but so knowlegable with all the details of a reception as well. He made sure we didn't miss a detail. He was so helpful with timeline planning too. He probably could moonlight as a wedding coordinator. Haha. In addition to food service he also had so many items to use for our reception - linens - chargers - dishes - cutlery and even table centerpieces! Saved us at least $600 in rentals alone not to mention the headache to coordinate it all. And he was so generous - he assisted with our champagne tower and beverage service as well. Unfortunately our venue had alot of issues with electricity and non working ovens but I appreciated he and his team did their best to maneuvar around the challenges without stressing us with the details of it all. Food was great. Everyone was raving about his charcuturie too that we served for cocktail hour. It was amazing. We served a 3 course with prime rib and chicken francesse. Highly recommend! Really an excellent value for the food & service. My only advice for the next bride/groom - ask Joseph for a to go box! The reception was so busy and you sometimes don't get much time to eat - you'll wish you could enjoy the meal the next day!

They were expected to install an onsite kitchen but it never showed so what little food there was couldn't be prepared Zero of the food we paid and expected arrived. No chef arrived to cook. What little food did arrive was undercooked. Paid for family style and had to last minute flip to buffet because they were incapable of getting organized. Cocktail hour appetizers were disgustingly laid out with labels still on serving boards. We also paid for appetizers to be passed around by staff. No ice arrived for drinks. No water. Thankful we provided liquor so at least we had that. When we tried to mediate for a refund after the wedding he ghosted for weeks and then conveniently moved to Texas to avoid being served.
