We're so lucky she sent us this way, or we may have completely driven by without noticing it at all. They have what seems to be just about every local artisans products stocked up here. What an amazing way to support local! Staff were amazing and so helpful! The store is incredibly large and there's different sections ranging from pottery to sauces, artwork to local craft drinks, jams to knit goods, and so on. If you're there, pick up some county bounty soda. Made in napanee, not too far away, and tastes absolutely spectacular! Cheers to the wonderful people running this store!!

It's a cute location that used to be a milk barn and was converted to a store that curates with over 120 local artists and vendors for the past 7 years. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. We found some great items in the store ranging from beautiful furniture, decor, bread mixes, jams, maple syrup, quilts, barn quilts (that PEC is known for), clothes, painting and more. We picked a variety of items and Mr. H loved the chocolate chip biscuits a lot! This auction is okay but not great…read more The auctioneer is not bad most of the time but occasionally misses bids or messes up in some other way, all without apology. He can be arrogant. He sometimes describes auction items as "brand new" or "brand spanking new", when they are clearly not. An auctioneer needs to have the reputation of being very honest about what he is selling, and right now he doesn't have that in my opinion. Things move along at a good speed, which I appreciate. Other staff are friendly and helpful. Washrooms are okay.

On our most recent visit, some of the interesting things we saw: recycled license plates made into belt buckles and bracelets; inner tube bracelets with Barbie doll head inset; great belts which incorporated old magazines into the design; handmade mugs and other assorted pottery; a variety of wooden utensils; hand painted silk scarves; various interesting vintage and antique items; hand made soaps; braided rugs; bedding. The list goes on. Every time I go there, I see different things as Tammy seems to move things around quite often. Hand Works is located in an old house - which is in itself a fun little building to see. She rents out one room to tourists. My mom loves Tammy - and Tammy bends over backwards to provide fantastic customer service whenever we are there. This place is a fantastical stop in an eclectic Bali collection of stuff. From furniture to art to,…read morewell, ,some of the stuff is hard to describe, there is a huge collection of stuff here to give your house or cottage a bit of a Bali feel. The owners also run a cast iron fabrication facility, Iron World, so there is a collection of cast iron fencing and other objects intermingled with the Bali items to make this place even more eclectic. My wife and I love stopping here just to look around, although we do usually wind up picking something up, there are no pushy salespeople and no pressure to buy, just helpful staff to answer questions. Ahmed gave me a price to do the chairs that was very competitive. He has fabric, or you can bring your own. He doesn't have a ton of fabric to choose from but his selection was absolutely fine for our purposes. He finished the chairs within a week. They look great and are very comfortable to sit on.
