Walking in the first time, the store is a major surprise. It takes quite a while to actually get…read morearound and look at all the options. Yes, beautiful fresh meats behind the counter but so much more. Frozen dinners, frozen soups, all kinds of quicky dinner mains. Sides of all kinds, along with a full complement of deli meats, salads of all kinds and description, sausages, stuffed meats. From the eye-popping displays to the variety, it's hard to make a decision knowing this could add up like a trip to Costco. The prices--nice--affordable. The staff behind the fresh meat counter are very accommodating with portions. I'm shopping for two, not an army. The meats we've tried so far have been very good, tasty, fresh, and I have more confidence in getting meat that is actually healthy and not a product full of chemicals or close to spoilage. Still, the chicken thighs we got recently were rather oddly cut; the only quibble I've had so far. I have many more choices to try--and I plan to.

The rib eye filets are amazing too, I usually don't like ribeyes because of the fatty parts around the steak, but these are trimmed, and absolutely fantastic, so you get the delicious flavor of a prime rib, but in a steak. The customer service is fantastic, in particular Alex, who handled our corporate giving orders, including changes and updates and is so kind and helpful.

They consistently run out of food which is why I've only ordered there twice out of the four times I've tried to be a customer here. If it wasn't for the fact that this location used to be an Applebee's, I'm not sure how they would stay in business. The space itself is good for performances, which speaks to ambience. If you're not there for live music, don't waste your time trying to grab a meal. It's a shame.

We ordered the Black Bullet party pack which comes with two pounds of brisket and two large sides. We went with fries and beans, and also added ribs, mac and cheese, and buns to the order. The brisket is still the star of the show. The spice rub on it is perfect, and it's so tender that it's unreal. The fries are exactly the kind of battered fries I like which was a pleasant surprise because I feel like not many places do them that way. The beans were okay... a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but they had huge chunks of pork in them that I definitely appreciated. We also added two slabs of ribs, and they fell right off the bone. I'm usually not a huge ribs person, but these were well cooked and flavorful. Mom loved them, and that's what really matters. We did have a few small issues with the order. We realized that our mac and cheese was unfortunately missing when we got home. They also ran out of pretzel buns midway through packing things up, so we ended up with a mix of pretzel and brioche buns instead. Honestly, we didn't mind that one too much because it gave us a chance to try both (I'd pick pretzel if I were you). When we picked up the order the place was absolutely packed, so it was hard to be upset over an honest mistake. They were clearly incredibly busy. I still don't really care for the sweeter sauce that tastes heavily like peppers to me, but their vinegar-based sauce (which I think is their original?) was much better than I remember. I'm glad to see this place is still around and still holds up after all this time. More importantly, the brisket is every bit as good as I remembered.
