Sliced butter carrots....... why?

Steak and shrimp

I was a little disappointed when I had my meal from here today. I've seen this little cute drive thru so many times driving thru town I thought I'd stop and give it a try today. I got pineapple won tons which were pretty good but my steak and shrimp combo left me a little upset. My zucchini was so soft it was mushy. I couldn't eat it. The steak was fine but shrimp to me seemed overdone. At first it looks like maybe blackened shrimp so I kept open mind but it was dry and maybe just cooked too fast on high heat? I'm not one to leave questionable reviews sand I would maybe one day give this place another try but after what I spent I was kinda disappointed with the quality.. the staff was very nice

Chicken and Broccoli with Fried Rice

After reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical of this place. I've gone here twice and each time it exceeded my expectations. It's cheap, quick, and delicious. Keep in mind that it isn't your typical sit down restaurant with premium food and matching prices. However you get more than what you pay for in regards to quality and quantity. The service wasn't bad either. The older man at the register was pleasant each time I went. First visit, I got the steak and chicken. The steak was slightly chewy but I still enjoyed it. Second time, I got the chicken and broccoli. The chicken was perfect each time.

Leaving with my food!

I purchased two steak hibachi dinner meals and they were pretty good. Approximately $17.00 for two dinners is a great deal! I love that it had zucchini, mushrooms and carrots. My noodles lacked a lot of flavor but still not bad! My other box was the identical meal but with steamed rice. My meal only took 15-20 minutes to prepare. I will definitely return.

Steak, scallop, shrimp trio on left.
Lil Hibachi with shrimp & rice on right with crab won ton

We moved to Hampstead on June 2, and live right up the road from this hidden gem. I am SO glad we tried it...everything was delicious. I had the steak, shrimp, scallop trio with ALL the vegetables and my wife had the Lil Hibachi shrimp with rice, plus 4 of the crab won tons. We always rate this type of food based on how greasy the dishes are...(and of course how the food tastes too), let me tell you...these were NOT greasy at all...we already had won tons where the grease saturated the bag...not so here. Like I said everything was delicious, and I'm getting two meals from mine (although it was difficult to stop eating when the food is this good). This is strictly take-out, no inside seating, although they DO have a picnic table and some tables outside with umbrellas so I guess you could eat it there. We live so close we took it home. Will definitely be back...sooner than later! Oh and the order taker was very nice too.

rice, meat and sauce in a styrofoam container

This was the meal I ordered. It didn't come with any vegetables, and the rice was cold and the chicken was rationed and rubbery. The only good thing was the sauce. I was hungry when I got home, so I ate it. I thought about calling and bringing it back but I didn't want anyone to possibly spit or do something to my food. I despise returning food, especially when I can't see them making it. I know most people wouldn't do that, and they are just trying to get by, but I don't want to take the chance. The service is sloooooooooooow, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for food. Good luck getting anyone on the speaker. This was almost $9. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

Super quick, but need to order ahead. The food is very flavorful and worth the price for the amount.

First one in and I walked from the hotel Lela only 1/2 mile away. At the recommendation of my super sweet server I tried the fire cracker shrimp which was a regular specialty on he table placard. I also noticed the cod miso which intrigued me so I order it. What brought in though was the Hamichi Kama which I ordered also. On top of this they brought out a black seaweed/gyoza sample. The. On top of that since it is my birthday week they brought me the green tea mocha. Wow to say I am stuff was an understatement. So since this was a progressive ordering situation which I created the food came out sort of mish mash. I started with black seaweed / gyoza sampler. It was awesome. I would have ordered more had I not already ordered . Then I moved on to the bang bang shrimp. 8 breaded shrimp with their version of bang bang sauce. Plump shrimp with a chili sauce. Not bad. The sauce was just a chili style sauce and so left some to be desired. Then the cod miso came out. Wow. Super hot and had actual chunks of cod and veggies in it. Very good. Then the Hamichi Kama which came out. Amazing. I had this before in Japan and in West Virginia. Amazing. Definitely a recommend. Then they brought out the green tea mochi with green tea ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Amazing meal definitely needed the walk back to try and walk some of it off. The restaurant is small and reservations are highly recommended. Definitely worth the trouble and I plan to return in the future to try some other items.

The freshness of the food is evident in the taste. The food is also plentiful and shareable. We started with Blue Crab Ragoons which were freshly made. We then shared the seasonal Fire & Ash roll. When it came out I was skeptical of the "orange colored mush" on top but that is exactly what made the roll. The mush was tuna that was slightly smoked. All of the ingredients within the roll were very fresh and the roll was huge. The Angry Tiger was wrapped in white seaweed and included both spicy tuna, salmon, and shrimp tempura. Excellent. The General Tso Chicken had the right level of spice. The ending was the best. Tempura Fried Ice Cream which is a seasonal specialty. Vanilla ice cream covered in a dome of pound cake and fried topped with a drizzle of strawberry and chocolate. Service was terrific. My drink was continually refilled and the server was super nice. The entire staff was always looking out for everyone even if it wasn't their table. It was a lovely day so we ate outside. Pretty good seating outside. Inside has a cool vibe...coastal blues meet Asian design. Everyone leaves with boxes because you get the portions you pay for.
