They're always willing to give gardening advice. The honey stand doesn't have the greatest customer service but a lot of different flavors and good prices for honey. A few stands sell farm fresh eggs (THE best eggs), but when summer rolls around everyone wants eggs so they sell out fast, be sure to get there early. There are stands for kids, from local non-profits, many times there's live music, and it's walking distance to great local shopping, restaurants, and activities in downtown Albany, which means there is plenty of parking. Earth Day at farmers market is particularly fun. Last summer they didn't allow dogs, which makes me sad, but I've been seeing more dogs here and there. As a community that is not always the most engaged, this market is a great jumping off point and has a lot of potential to increase community engagement. If we all frequent the local farmers market it will get bigger, offer more products, activities, and local resources, and get community members from all neighborhoods connected.

The orchard is a laid back place with plenty of other varieties of fruit to pick and/or sample. Or simply just to purchase pre-picked. Different fruits have different "peak" seasons for harvesting so do some research and then go and enjoy nature's bounty.
