I booked an Hi5 bus online for my friend's bachelorette. Ended up paying for a round trip (150$ CAD) that never happened because the compagny cancelled our trip without any explanation. When I called to ask why, they said it was because they didn't have any buses or transportation available. They assured me I wouldn't be charged. Nonetheless, I received a payment confirmation the next day. I called the company back to flag the issue and was told that both transactions were now cancelled and would disappear from my credit card within 3-5 business days. It's now been almost a month and I still haven't received any refund. Both pending charges have officially gone through, and no one is answering my emails or calls. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charges. I'm so frustrated! read more

To update my previous review. This is a big scam. When you search for Hi5 LLC in Maine, it will show up 5 stars with 128 reviews from an unknown website (i.e Cybo) from Europe and you can not see the review. For scamming reason they put 5 stars in fake review so people will believe they are a good company. They are also have some services on the website call Hi5 Home Care LLC in Maine in trying to scam the retirees in Maine community. The reason i know because they use the same address that i booked for a taxi ( see my previous review). So Watch Out. Don't be another victim read more

Absolutely terrible service - please do not use. Booked for transportation to and from a wedding, and I called morning of to confirm the final payment. Two hours before pick up they called asking us to adjust our timing (which we couldn't due to the nature of the event - a wedding ceremony) and ultimately switched drivers and car size. Our driver then confirmed a different driver was set for our 11pm pick up. At 11pm - the company claimed they'd canceled our ride earlier in the day (they had not) and informed us no one would be coming. We were left completely stranded, with the owner of the company cursing me out on the phone as I frantically booked a hotel room in walking distance for my group of 7. I cannot stress the lack of professionalism or decency of this company to leave a family in such a lurch. Do not use. read more

This cab service is entirely unethical. If you book a sedan, you very well might have an SUV show up then be charged 2-3x the price. On top of that, they charge you $2.50 for every minute you're late. We were settling our check and one minute before our schedule time, we received a threatening call regarding the $2.50 charge. Entirely unnecessary and inappropriate. This company goes beyond the definition of unethicality. Avoid at every possible cost. read more

Their website allows you to book a car service anytime as long as it's one hour in the future. Once you complete your booking you get a confirmation number and email confirming that you indeed have booked a car service. I did this last weekend. At the time of my supposed pick up time no one showed. I tried calling. No one answered. I got a text almost 2 hours after my pick up time saying my ride was cancelled (obviously since I was already sitting on the plane) and no apologies. Don't ever use this company. read more

Ordered a ride. Waited the 1.5 hours in first week of may. Never came. Didn't answer the phone. Waited more. Didn't come. Didn't answer the phone. Made what should have been a great night difficult and out of sorts. Can't do it? Don't accept the job. And answer your phone. Dont use this unprofessional and irresponsible service if it can be avoided. read more

This company left us STRANDED! We booked them for a bachelorette party pick up from a club and was our only way home. Confirmed the day of. Then 1 hour before pickup they canceled the ride! I called multiple times they did not answer, texted them begging to get us as we now have been drinking and are stranded and they never answered. Then I checked the reviews that were not just from google and they all say that the same as happened to them. I would never trust these people if you need a ride for something important. Terrible. read more

Worst car service ever. You are much better off walking. If you have to be somewhere at a certain time, don't book Hi5

How do you not give stars? They're the worst company ever. They promised to reimburse me but never did when I canceled the service and provided proof of cancellation. A guy confirmed that he had mailed a money order many times. Never return to me. This is a credit card business card. . PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

If I could give less than a star - I would. We received - a booked and confirmation email but when I called to confirm we were told they had to cancel. 2 hours before we left for our event. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. HI5 canceled on our scheduled rides the day of with 2 hours notice. After we called, they said it was due to a covid outbreak with their drivers. We would be very understanding of this, however they were supposed to call back to confirm whether or not another driver could take the ride and never did. We have now been calling for two days to try to get a hold of them and find out when we will be getting our refund. The line redirects to another number which goes to a voicemail box. This is either a completely unprofessional service or an outright SCAM. read more

How do you give no stars?? This is the most terrible company. They cancelled our ride, then we called to confirm our ride for the next day at 11 am. The driver came early and cancelled on us because he said he had to wait 5 minutes. Even though our ride was not scheduled until 11 am. Then he called to cuss at my husband. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Do not use this company. I requested a quote through their website when evaluating transportation options between Boston Logan and Maine. Instead of providing a quote, they immediately charged my card twice, for a total of $480. I immediately wrote them, and have written and called several times since, and they have never responded. I finally had to call my bank to report fraud. Would use 0 stars if possible. read more

I called and scheduled a ride for pickup. The ride never came. I called and left a message but never heard back.

I called because it was the only place open... typically use Uber or lyft. I called twice... the first time I called and asked about a ride and a guy answered with an attitude and said "what's your address you stupid fuck"... I said "excuse me?" Then the guy went off threatning me and hung up on me... I was called a different number not knowing it was connected to the same company... it started off ok... until I got in the car and the guy started talking about his addiction to Adderall and drugs... as a person in recovery it made me super uncomfortable... I dealt with it. I got a trip from windham to westbrook and the guy charged me $95 dollars for maybe a 6 to 7 mile trip. He wouldn't go any lower. read more

Absolutely terrible. I called to make a reservation, and the person who picked up the phone confirmed that he could make the trip work. He then told me to book it through their website. I filled out the online form and provided my credit card information. The cost was triple the rate of uber, but I felt I was paying for peace of mind as we weren't sure if there would be an available uber at the time of our trip. Well, as it turns out the joke is on me - taxi never showed up & we ended up having to scramble to book an uber. Do not book a taxi through this place. read more

This place is NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN! Do not use this taxi service under any condition even if your like me and stuck in Biddeford with no Uber's or Lyft around JUST WAIT. These guys literally charge 400% more than Uber. No joke I took what would be a 12$ Uber ride and was charged 42 and when I politely inquired about the price the dude basically cursed me out but I'm not no wussy and I didn't fold and we ended up agreeing on 30$ for my 2 mile fare... especially not safe for women I would never let my wife use this cab read more

I honestly could not be more angry about the service, first off I payed almost $40 for a ten minute ride! Then they arrived 15 minutes late when I made it clear I needed them to be prompt. When I got in I asked the driver to put on a mask to which he didn't have on him. I will not be using them again and recommend you do the same read more

The worst! We were running a little late and the driver took our bags out of the cab and drove off. At least he took the bags out. Horrible

I hired this company to provide transportation to an event. The van never showed up and phone numbers to the company were not answered and voicemail was full. I attempted to contact the company twice via email. It was an embarrassment to hire this company to transport a group of 8 and to have a no show. We had to scramble at the last minute. This company is NOT reliable. I should've read all the reviews before hiring them. Do NOT hire this company. read more

Had a group of 10 people and ordered a large van for our trip from the Kennebunks to Alfred Maine. We decided to go with the large van so we wouldn't have to pick up two cars the next day after the wedding. Cab showed up on time but was only a 6 person cab so we still had to drive and pick one car up. We were told that we would receive a credit for the difference between the 6 person van and the 10 person van. I have followed up 3 times since we have not received the credit for the difference. Overall, seems like a slimy and unreliable organization. Very unfortunate that Uber/Lyft isn't as available up in that area. read more

Rip off for ride from Kennebunkport to Wells Station at $50. Lyft charges $23 for same trip but sadly were not available for time I needed. read more

Clean car. Charged more than triple what I've ever been charged for the same ride. Have that discussion up front. You have been warned.

Good in a pinch and that's about it. Paid 75$ to travel 9 minutes. Dirty vehicle. Late and talking on phone when they finally showed up, ignored us when we got in the car. read more

I had the pleasure of using this company today, the driver was very courteous and professional, his name was Lyle. I needed to go to the doctors office in Portland he stayed with me the whole time and charge me a reasonable fee for three hours of service. Don't forget when calling, ask for Kyle!! read more

I wish I could give this company a zero but that is not an option. We ordered a taxi both by phone and online per the phone agent's direction and received an online confirmation that the taxi would pick us up at our hotel at 2pm. They never came and then stopped answering our phone calls as well as calls from the hotel front desk. We waited for almost two hours (missing our Amtrak train back to Boston) then had to call a friend from Yarmouth to come and get us since there were also no Ubers available at that time. Totally unacceptable. read more

Took one of these taxis home last night. Guy was going on about how they want to compete with Uber- if you want to actually compete with Uber get a gps or smart phone. It's super rude to drive someone home and then say "oh lol it would have been faster to go over veterans bridge but I guess you wanted to give me more money". I won't bother using you guys again. Redownloading the uber app today. read more

Absolutely horrible. I called and spoke with a gentleman who asked me to text the address and pickup time. I received no response. When I called to confirm, five minutes before the pickup the gentleman said "minimum half hour". No text, no call, no nothing. read more

Don't use!!! This company is overpriced. My family and I ordered a van for our ride to the airport because we had quite a few suitcases. Driver showed up in a regular car. He didn't know anything about it when we asked him where the van was. We had an early flight and he did show up, that was the good part. And you have to pre pay which is weird. Will never use this company again!!!!! read more

We were left stranded at our location after scheduling a ride online. We have two young children who were home with a babysitter that we needed to get home to. We scheduled a ride online and entered a credit card. They never showed up after 30 minutes- we called them and they were incredibly rude, he kept telling me you wait or I cancel. I kept saying no I want you to come because we need to get home. He told me he would be there in a few minutes but never showed. This was the rudest company I've spoken with and we will be contesting the credit card charge. read more

Horrible driver tried to cut me off and then continued to play dangerous games. Not a smart move with your logo on the car. Your driver needs to go back and learn how to drive in portland, how to be a courteous driver and a good community member. He could have handled it differently and been courteous but he decided to try to run me off the road instead. So scary!! I telephoned the police that's how bad it was. Have told this story a hundred times now and also posted to FB. Sadly someone who drives like this with their logo on the side of the car is probably the owner. Bad advertising in my book. read more

I highly recommend hi five over twin city if you can't use Uber or Lyft. Cars are in impeccable shape and service is fast however their fares are double. A 7 dollar ride will cost you 15 but you will get home much faster and safer then with Twin City! read more

No Show & No call. Unbelievable! Holiday event for large group of friends. Reservation for 2 SUV's made earlier in week and confirmed with HI5 cab the morning of the event. 4:30 pm pick up - no call no show. Called company at 4:45 & 5:00 PM and only reached voice mail. All of us left trying to find rides to the event, creating "designated drivers" and screwed the event up entirely as well as being late. Worst cab experience and speaking with the "owner" later all what I got was excuses and the proverbial "I'm sorry but what would you like me to do now" If you're even thinking of using them for a ride, don't bother - Just start walking now!! What a joke! read more

No Show. I strongly discourage use of this service. Very unprofessional. I was one in a large group of people abandoned by this taxi service. We had advance reservations which had been confirmed via phone that morning. Attempts to reach the company to find out why they were late went unanswered. They never showed and we ended up scrambling for other transportation. read more
