The office staff was extremely helpful and let us know that they would submit our request. We figured we wouldn't hear back until Monday, but were pleasantly surprised when we received a call from them less than an hour later. I do not know the name of the technician that worked on our unit, but he was extremely friendly and had our AC fixed in no time. He had to replace a part, and performed some other task, and the entire bill was less than $300. A lot less than we were expecting. Great service, great value and we will definitely use them for any future heating/cooling problems.

So i said to have him call me when he had the chance. A few hours later the owner Phillip shows up at my house. Surprised i said "I thought you were going to call i didn't know you were going to come back out " . He then proceeded to tell me he had been calling but i wouldn't answer the phone. I had my cell phone with me and had received no calls from him and when i said as much he stormed away saying he didn't have time for this. He then came back and I showed him my phone and he read of the number he had for me apparently either he couldn't read his employees had writing or they had written a 9 instead of a 4 for one of my digits. After finding out he had been calling the wrong number i guess he decided to take another look at the system (remember one person had already been out and given me quotes for his company). He then proceeded to tell me he would need to re work the quote and would have to send it to me that afternoon. As evening approached i had received nothing from Phillip so i called and told them things had changed and i would not be needing their services. Not fifteen min later the original person that sent me the first quote called me and said they they wouldn't be able to help me with replacing our units. thought it was kinda funny since i had already told them i weren't going to be using them. I see several glorying reviews on here and I have to wonder how many of them are fake. I will never call or use this company ever.

I googled several but when landed on Vigilant I just had a real good feeling. So right. Old house, so many opportunities for issues, but with the info Aaron provided I think we feel as confident as possible about the decision we have made. I would suggest contacting him first and saving yourself the trouble of researching many. You wont be disappointed with his knowledge or willingness to share it. I typically do most of my work and being an engineer myself, I'm picky on the quality of work that gets done, but have many projects to do on our old house and some of the work is beyond my scope, so I needed to find a company that I can trust and use on an initial project and future projects if I was happy with their work. Old Town Electric was highly recommended by our neighbor and our real estate agent. The two gentlemen that came out performed the work quickly which helped keep the costs down as well as doing quality work and answering my many questions (part of this work was to find a company that I can trust and use going forward over the years). All the work was done with great attention to detail, both what can be seen when completed and what you can't see unless you remove the circuit panel cover and electrical outlet boxes to examine the hidden wiring details. They even used a bubble level when mounting a surface mount box in the basement that is out of normal view. I highly recommend Old Town Electric for electrical work. I received updates as to arrival time, the workmanship and attention to detail was great, detailed billing information was provided and the price of the job and rates were more than fair and less than what I expected for the work performed. I will be using Old Town Electric in the future for additional projects as well as recommending them to others.
