My wife and I have bought and sold 10 homes in SoCal. Including all the near-misses, we've had contact with at least 2 dozen inspectors. Marty is far and above the best. He was thorough without being picky, careful without being fussy, and professional without being impersonal. He pointed out things we needed to know and gave us honest perspective on how serious the issues really were. Some inspectors try to overblow problems so their findings don't come back to bite them. Marty finds the perfect balance between discovering all issues that need addressing and not worrying clients about those which are not serious. He was so good on an inspection he did for us last month, we decided to pull out of escrow. The current one is going to be perfect, in no small part due to our faith in Marty's judgment. He told us he would move into it and that's good enough for us! read more

This review may seem a bit out of place, but I would like to publicly thank Marty for the time he spent with me on the phone and the insights he was willing to share from the inspectors perspective. I called him, mistakenly, looking to track down another inspector, with a similar business name, in order to serve that inspector paperwork for a civil lawsuit. Marty asked ask about the situation, and after I explained what happened, he helped me to better understand the parameters and legal responsibilities of an inspector. The conversation was immensely helpful and considering how valuable one's time is, he was incredibly generous. Jury is out on whether or not I will pursue my lawsuit, I have lots of new things to consider. Again, Many Thanks Marty! Mary read more

Marty inspected an older mobile home for me at a mobile home community in Springdale. I had major concerns about the purchase and the home it's self. Marty was very detailed and thorough, and he took the time to explain the short and long term maintenance costs associated with this home. He was very patient, honest and professional. The report was laid out nicely in a way that was easily understandable and he provided numerous photos. He was very knowledgeable about mobile homes, and as someone who was feeling uneasy about this purchase, he helped me to make the best decision based on the facts. The value of his inspection far outweighed his fee. I will definitely hire Marty again when I'm considering another home to purchase. read more

Marty Girod inspected a new construction home I am purchasing in Arkansas. Marty was very accommodating in making a quick appointment due to my limited availability and quick close. He was thorough and professional, making sure all the electrical and plumbing elements worked, as well as checking all other aspects of the build from the roof to the foundation. He explained his process, the limitations of what he could do (too cold to check A/C unit), and answered all my questions. His report was easy to read and included photos of all the areas of the home. The cost was very reasonable, and he took no shortcuts in being thorough. I'd recommend him highly!! read more

When we bought a new house we wanted to have it inspected for our peace of mind and our real estate agent suggested Marty. Marty arrived on time and ready to get to work. We were very pleased with his professionalism and the fact he took the time to explain to us what he was looking for and what he found. I have no complaints at all about Aplus Inspections and would recommend Marty and his company to anyone. The Builder even tore out the front porch walkway and replaced it entirely due to cracks in the cement. I believe it was mainly due to Marty bringing it up on his report. We received the report the very next day. read more

Marty completed a home inspection for my wife and I, as we are purchasing a house in NWA. His inspection was thorough, and he was able to complete/send the report by the end of the day. I was very impressed with his report and the inspection he completed, and it helped outline some critical items that needed to be dressed before completing the home buying process. I believe the prices for the inspections are beyond fair as well. I would recommend Marty and A Plus Certified Home Inspections for anyone in the area looking to get a very professional inspection completed. read more

Marty was suggested to me by our real estate agent and I am so pleased. He is easy to schedule with and I was unable to attend inspections but felt at ease with his detailed reports and explanations. He was easy to pay over the phone and communicate with even when working due to flexibility . I had to get two inspections on two properties and he cut me a good deal on pricing for the second and the first time during a family emergency he helped me waive a certain fee. He is just so kind professional and has good work ethic. read more

Choosing Marty to do our home inspection was the right choice since Marty has a vintage home himself and the inspection of our 1896 Victorian required someone with experience inspecting older homes. Marty did not miss a thing as he went from room to room and basement to attic to do a thorough inspection. I am confident that he properly listed all issues that need to be addressed. I am very satisfied with his work and have no reservation about endorsing his work as well as his friendliness and professionalism. read more

Marty Girod was very professional and knew what too look for. Due to Covid-19 he showed up covered with his mask. Once he completed his inspection inside the home he used a drone to view and inspect the roof. Definetly up to date with the times. He went over every detail with me before I left and submitted everything in writing in less than 24 hours. Everything was done in a timely manner. Very happy with Marty's findings. read more

Marty is very friendly and professional. He is very thorough and explained things very well. We got our very detailed report the same day. The first time he came out, the water was not on and he was not able to do the inspection. He came back out with no extra charge, in my past experience if they needed to come back out it was an extra fee. Highly recommend Marty to anyone needing an house inspection. read more
