Hi-Line Moving Services was extremely easy to work with. They moved our belongings from HI to Fairbanks for our last PCS. I will be requesting that we use them on our next move. No damage and very, very good with outlining expectations. read more

If the military hires these guys as you're moving company, please request to change them. We had asked them to put the moving bolts in for a washer. They proceeded to tell us we didn't need them. We got to our next destination, and our washer is now broken because of it one of the guys who had been working there for about a month or two also didn't know how to pack anything. They broke multiple furniture items as well as glass that did not get wrapped properly and got put under heavy stuff in a box. I had one of our mirrors locked with the key and instead of asking us to unlock it. They broke the lock and then said that it was just like that when I know it wasn't. They didn't wrap any glass from our side tables and they didn't protect our mattress at all to where it is now torn read more

Time for an updated 1 star review. If the military books you this company to move you please fight to get it changed! The company was extremely unprofessional, took multiple extremely long breaks, broke our items right infront of our faces and then lied about it, called my husband inappropriate names. One individual chucked a dolly over his head into the truck while our items were still in there and was extremely rude to the other movers. I could not wait for them to leave our property and they made it a very disappointing PCS moving experience. read more

Make sure you get all the insurance you can because they don't ask or go through the paperwork very well with you. We had so many items damaged and got nothing in compensation. They were more worried about how much per diem they got and where they were going to eat. Also, if they take an item apart then they are supposed to reassemble it. It states it and they know this. They were unwilling to do that. Also stand in the room as they are packing it because they will go all over the house looking for items to put in boxes. If it's the kitchen put the kitchen stuff in the box, do not put garage items in there as well. They don't label boxes well either. I just recently found the missing 15 bottles of spices in a box marked books. There were no books in the box. We will never hire this company again. I will not recommend them either. I wouldn't hire them to move a box across the room because they'd break something in it like many of our items were damaged. read more

If this company just so happens to be selected as your mover do not let them talk you in to not taking away boxes right away. The movers assured me that once I unpacked boxes myself they would be there to pick them up right away. I even asked multiple times and was met with "just call this number and someone will be out that day". Unloaded all boxes and stored in my garage, taking up the entire garage making it unusable. Only to call and find out it will be 2 weeks before they can come collect. Would have just had to movers unpack and take that day had I known. read more

Don't ever use them! We were assigned them fora military move. We kept in touch for months about dates. Everything started out well. They contracted with another carrier to pack us on June 8. Pick up was supposed to be on June 13. June 13 and June 14 came, no pick up. June 14 they told us that they couldn't pick up at all. Our things sat in our house until July 1 when another carrier came to get it. We had to pay 3 weeks additional rent on the house and were not able to live there as we were required to be a the next duty station. NEVER TRUST THEM!!!!!!!!! read more

The owner of this company is a dismissive, condescending, arrogant individual. If you want to be treated poorly during an extremely stressful time in your life- this is the company for you. He will go out of his way to be as unhelpful as possible. read more

If I could do no stars I would!! Worst company I have ever dealt with. First off, not only is there almost no communication, the office hung up on us as soon as we told them our names when we were trying to get the move finalized. Dave refuses to answer calls or return any. Real frustrating when you are trying to do a move. They got us to choose them by quoting a fair price, (9,7xx), then after our stuff was loaded, in their possession, and we were half way to Alaska, we were told it was going to be almost 20,000!! More than twice the quote. They did take some off when we called to say WTF. Ended up at 16,xxx$, still way more than budgeted. Then on the way up, we were passed, by one of their trucks doing well over the posted limit in a construction zone. The second truck passed us on a very rough frost heaved stretch. By the way the trailers were being jolted and the tires coming off the ground as he got in front of us, we lost any hope of our stuff making it safely. As expected, after several unanswered calls, and no returned calls from "the alaskan coordinator" Dave, we finally got our things delivered with several damagd items. Run from this company, it was a complete nightmare to deal with them. Worst regret i have ever had. read more

DO NOT use this company to move. They were the absolute worst and talk about thieves! My husband and I hired them to do a local move. The manager (Brian) quoted us 2 days; 1 day to pack and 1 day to load on the truck and drop off at the storage unit. The two gentlemen that showed up started off great, but were super slow packing. They didn't finish packing the first day so they said they'd finish on day two. They said it would only take 2 hours. These 2 hours turned into the entire next day. Not to mention only 1 gentlemen showed up to work on day 2 and packed for a few hours on his own. Brian (the manager) didn't even know he was already at the house packing. Brian had called us that morning to tell us he was short on manning and didn't have anyone to send over. A few hours later, the high schooler's mom dropped him off at our house to "help" the other guy with the packing. Brian asked if they could come over on Saturday to finish and we agreed. He said they would not charge us time and a half for weekend work. On Saturday morning, no one shows up to load the truck. We could not get a hold of anyone at the moving office 1.5 hours later. My husband had to look Brian up on FaceBook to see what was going on. Thankfully, Brian responded to FaceBook messaging. He said someone at his company said that I told them they didn't need to come back on Saturday and that Monday would be good. First, my husband did all the communicating with them and Second, I would have never said that b/c we needed to be out of our house on Monday and Third, we didn't have any other days off to take from work. He sent two gentlemen over within 1 hour. These gentlemen were not expecting to pack on this day and showed up with nothing. (We have a treadmill and they showed up without tools to take it apart. This was noted during the walk thru with Brian.) By this time it is already almost noon on Saturday. They loaded the truck and didn't get to the storage unit until around 5 pm! They said our stuff wouldn't fit in the storage until b/c it wasn't big enough. Brian called around to other storage units but didn't have any luck. By this time all storage locations were closed since it was a Saturday. The movers ended up putting the stuff in the storage unit and it closed just barely. (BTW, this is the storage until Brian recommended we get.) If they had kept to the timeline as agreed, we would have been able to address this issue on a weekday during operating hours. Overall, communication and organization within this moving company is a mess. Brian called the move "a success" simply b/c they got it all done. I would not call it a "success": they did not meet the deadline they quoted us at and they were super slow. They still charged us the full price especially after all this debacle. They put on a good front at the beginning, but once you sign the contract, beware of their tricks! read more

got off to a great start for the gentleman that came and packed our stuff. 2 1/2 weeks later 3 unanswered returned phone calls, waiting on hold for 20 minutes, living in a empty house with 2 children and our stuff still wasn't here! very unsatisfied! They never return your calls, or answer the phone when you have been on hold. its over the estimated drop off date and they still wont give you any answers! Horrible moving company! if i have a choice i will refuse to use them again! read more

Hi-Line was subcontracted to handle a move across the country (Arizona to Virginia). Their driver was late on the day of the move, there was an argument between him and the 2 local movers tasked with getting my belongings on the truck, and he spent a lot of time on the phone. Ultimately my stuff left my house around 6pm on 1/31/2014. My contract indicated a delivery date of 2/5/2014 (with a "drop dead date" of 2/10). After calling this company 3 times, I learned on 2/5 that they were under the impression the dates of delivery were between 2/12 and 2/15. I never signed anything agreeing to those dates, and this is after I moved my family of 5 across the country to be here by 2/5. Being a first-timer with moving companies, I would caution anyone with using these guys. Also, make sure the company you talk to is the actual mover and you get a dedicated truck with just your stuff. I think in the future I'll just drive everything myself. Hi-Line has been a disaster. read more
