I had Dutchman checked them out when he was looking for a specific item for the kitchen. He provided the green light to go back again. So therefore I am looking forward to checking them out soon. I will shop here when I dont have the convenience to shop at Studio Bazar in Amsterdam.

Large selection of quality brand names like Bose, Philips, Bang & Olufson, etc. and the staff here will be happy to advise you on the best system for your needs and your home. They will take care of repairs, in or out of warranty, as well, and they will deliver and install your equipment. They even give you a loaner if your TV needs repairs, now that's service! Back in the day Van Amerongen also used to be the best record store in town with a lot imported/specialty CDs, but with the demise of CDs, that selection has unfortunately gone. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Van Amerongen if you want quality for your money.

If you go on a Sunday there are spaces everywhere because it is the only thing around that is open. One great thing to note, I was in the store for almost an hour and not one person came up to me asking if they could help me or if I was looking for something. I thought this was amazing because it seems like in these kind of store that there are always people trying to "help" you.

Also once I got a pair of G-Star jeans for about €20, not bad. The place is hit or miss, but even if there is nothing you actually want to buy, there is always cool an interesting things to check out especially looking at some of the old school electronics they have and today I saw an old typewriter that seemed to still work for only €4,50. You can also donate you old clothes/stuff here which I do from time to time.
