I give them 100 stars for their outstanding service! My son passed his driving test without any issues. The instructors are highly qualified, and thanks to their training, my son now drives confidently and safely, including on the freeway. They make sure their students learn all the necessary driving skills and safety rules, so they are well prepared for the actual driving test. They are also very easy to communicate with, hassle-free, always on time, and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend them, and I will definitely have my daughter take her driving lessons with them next. read more

My son had previously failed the driving test 3x. I hired them to help him with further lessons till he gets his license. They took him one week going practically everyday driving. Tuan made a dmv appointment for him and took him and he passed!!! I didn't pay the hourly rate and did the full amount to guarantee he would get his license and he did. This is a great school with results. read more

My daughter had a great and positive experience! Richard was great with her and gave her very valuable driving tips to support learning. He gets 5 stars! The only thing is when scheduling her appointments and when purchasing. I didn't not get confirmations of her appointments and my purchase. I had to contact the business to confirm receipt. So that is the reason for the 4 stars overall instead. read more

I purchased 6 hours of driving lessons alongside freeway practice and practice before the test and I passed with only one error! Both Brian and Richard were very kind and encouraging, and gave me the knowledge and confidence to pass. Before the test Brian took me around the area to practice, and it made the test feel incredibly easy, especially knowing what mistakes I was making before so I could make sure I didn't do them again! Thank you Brian and Richard!! :) read more

My oldest son finally passed his driving exam this morning after holding off for years to take the plunge. We paid for the highest package, then another 6 hour package to refresh before taking the exam. Brian was incredibly patient and took him on the freeway for most of one his recent sessions. I highly recommend Brian's services and will most undoubtedly hire him when my younger son's time comes to learn how to drive. Thank you Brian/HI Driving School! read more

He's one of the most genuine and caring individual I've met. I'm blessed to have found a great teacher. On top of being calm, direct, and attentive, Brian's teachings were easy to understand, extremely clear, and most importantly SAFE. There's no expectation established or result promised: he truly believe in you wholeheartedly that you will succeed with your own ability. Being nervous on the road was one of my biggest weakness. A steady hand but unsteady mind create a great challenge to my livelihood. Richard, the second instructor, offered me great advice and exercises to calm my nerves. Taught me steering techniques that Nascar and F1 professional drivers would use for the cleanest and most consistent control over any vehicles. I never knew I had it in me to be assured that a decision I made, was the right one. The confidence I gained is priceless. Being calm and proactive knowing what to look out for and what to do NEXT is what I crave as a total beginner. Specifics and certainties. Brian is unironically the actual CHEAT CODE to my driving test. He knows exactly how the judges think and which route they'll take. It was almost unfair as I felt in the end, "Wait, it's that easy?" He prepared me for EVERY SINGLE possible obstacles. By practicing directly at the location around the city of where the DMV appointment was made. Ya boy nailed the test first try and passed with only 10 hours lesson driving on the road with him and Rich. I'm now a proactive, safe, and confident driver. I will miss their funny stories and jokes bantering with opposing driving schools or bad drivers passing by. They made it hilarious and fun. read more

Did the 6-hr package with the driving test and managed to pass on my first try without having driven in the States before! Easy to pay and book, and had a better rate than other driving schools I saw. My instructor Brian was very patient and thorough with the rules of the road and DMV expectations, and also gave me some great life lessons during the drive too. Brian was very patient and good teacher highly recommend him , we took 4 lessons which made a big difference for my son.

Very good and patient instructor. Taught both of my sons and they passed their driving tests within a week. Would recommend.

My oldest son was a student 3 yrs ago. He easily passed his driving exam. He is also a very good defensive driver now because he was taught the right way. Brian even got him to drive in the freeway on his second day. Now my second son just finished driving school with Brian. I highly recommend this driving school. read more

Brian was my daughter's driving instructor. He always showed up promptly and even took her driving in the rain. Bella was very anxious about driving and she said that not only was Brian very nice to her, but was also very calming whenever she would get nervous. She said he would explain to her the reasons why she had to do certain things while driving so she better understood the laws of driving. He picked her up an hour before her scheduled behind-the-wheel test (at 6:00am) and after practicing for an hour he waited patiently for her to complete the test. The coolest part was how excited he was when she passed!! Brian will forever be a part of the magical memory of Bella getting her license. My family and I are truly grateful for his time, his patience and the knowledge he provided to Bella and for being such a huge part of her passing her test. We highly recommend Hi Driving School!! read more

Brian is an amazing instructor!! I was a new driver (never driven before), took only 6 hours of driving lessons with him & cleared my behind the wheel test in one go, unbelievable. Thank you Brian for helping me get through this process. Icing on the cake, I was thrown on the freeway in my 2nd lesson, so not only did he train me for dmv standards but also made me comfortable with driving on the freeway. If you're looking for a good place to learn driving, this is it. Brian never disappoints and he's very funny so rest assured you won't be bored during your lessons read more

My daughter has been driving for 2 months to prepare for her test at Fullerton DMV, a notoriously difficult place to test. About a week before I decided I wanted her to spend some time behind the wheel with someone other than myself for fine tuning. I was able to make an appt with this driving school and get a 2 hour session a couple days later. We got Nissanka as an instructor. She communicated with me to confirm day before and day of for address. She was so kind to my daughter and gave her advice I was unable to. And she took her on routes that I didn't, which ended up being the route the DMV tester took her on. My daughter passed today with flying colors and I really believe it was Nissanka's words of wisdom that sealed the deal. Thank you so much to this school and especially Nissanka!! read more

I paid the $270 for 6 hours behind the wheel training, and $100 more for the practice hour before the test and trip to the DMV for my daughter and she failed the test as soon as they pulled out of the driveway of the DMV. What did my $370.00 pay for exactly? This is so frustrating and now she is discouraged to even drive or take the test again. **** We spent plenty of time also driving on our own before and after the school. I never said this was your fault, only that it was not worth the $370 that was spent. Please stop messaging me. *********Please stop commenting before I report you. This is very unprofessional. Please do not comment anymore and please do not contact me or my daughter. read more

My instructors Brian and Eranga helped me to pass my behind-the-wheel test at the Fullerton DMV in only 4 hours! I had failed my first driving test when I tried to self-learn but later decided to enrol in Hi Driving School and have NO regrets at all!!! Highly recommend Hi Driving school and their amazing team with great and honest customer service. Brian had an engaging personality and was very straight to the point, it was great chatting with him while learning to drive! Two hours went by in a blink as he shared some life lessons too haha. Eranga was very kind and so patient in teaching me how to park. She gave me the confidence to pass on my second try! So happy I passed as Fullerton DMV is quite known to be very difficult to pass, thanks to Hi Driving School. Check them out if you're in SoCal/ OC area! read more

I recently had a lesson with Brian and he helped me hone my driving skills and told me all the tips and tricks I would need to make sure I passed my driving test. I took my test the next day and passed on my first try all thanks to the stuff I learned from Brian. He was very patient and helpful, I would not have passed without his help. read more

I came to Brian after a horrible experience with another driving school (I was surprised with a driving test when I wasn't ready). Brian changed my life and helped me gain my ticket to travel freedom. I passed today with 1 mistake and I can't thank Brian anymore. Nissanka took my daughter for a 2-hour refresher driving lesson (we did 6 hours with another company, and we were not satisfied). My daughter passed her DMV test the day after! Thank you so much, Nissanka and Hi Driving School! read more

Brian and the entire staff were very responsive and professional. My daughter passed her test on the first try, too!

I had literally 0 hours of driving experience and have never driven a car before my lessons with Brian. It only took 10 hours of Brian's training for me to learn to not only how to drive a car safely and efficient but to pass the DMV Behind-The-Wheel test immediately after training. He is fast paced and knowledgeable and pushes you to succeed. I highly recommend HI Driving School read more

Passed first time after taking 3 hours of driving lesson with hi driving school.

I took my lessons with Brian, and he was very helpful when it came to understanding basic rules of the road and best practices when it comes to being safe. I would be remiss, however, if I did not mention how much these lessons failed in providing me with a learning environment where I was able to gain confidence on the road. Whenever I made one little mistake (e.g, being a bit too close to the curb), he would yell and/or stomp on the brakes. Oftentimes he would yell things like "Fail!" or "No! This is common sense!" I would leave each lesson ashamed of my mistakes, and I eventually grew to hate driving. Brian also had a tendency to contradict himself when teaching me. For instance, he would tell me that I should always drive slowly when driving next to someone on a bike, then 2 or 3 lessons later, I would take his advice and drive slowly near a cyclist, and he would stomp on the gas and tell me I had to speed away from cyclists by all means necessary. I should also mention that Brian talks about his other students during the lessons. He'll make remarks about what some have been struggling with or how one of his students failed a test. Not only was this unprofessional, it just let me know that any mistake I made would be mentioned in his conversations with others. The 10-hour driving package comes with a practice drive test, where Brian/the instructor picks you up, does a practice test, and then drops you off at the DMV for your exam. Much of the practice test was filled with him yelling about mediocre "mistakes," (i.e. making a right turn and not turning the wheel as much as he prefers). To make matters worse, he berated me about how I'm not prepared for the exam and how I'm not an excellent driver. Yes, I'm still a very new driver and am not excellent by any measure, but I'm not sure that's really something to be said right before someone is about to take their instruction. Fast forward to my behind-the-wheel test that day--I'm visibly anxious and already have it in my head that I'm going to fail based on his comments. I go through the test, and when I pull into the parking lot, my examiner tells me that I've failed because I was going too slow, which is an automatic disqualification. Thinking I surely had other mistakes based on Brian's comments moments before, I asked him if there was anything else I messed up on. He passed back the evaluation score sheet and says that I was perfect except for my speed. He verbatim told me that I need to work on building my confidence and that I was being too cautious. After the examiner exits the car, Brian approaches and loudly says "You failed?! No, you get out and get in the passenger seat--you failed!" In that moment I felt like a child getting reprimanded. He essentially punished me in the middle of the parking, leaving me feeling humiliated and ashamed once again. I retook the exam 2 weeks later and passed, with literally no mistakes. I worked on building my confidence during those two weeks and actually grew to love driving. I'm not writing this review as a bitter student who wishes she was coddled more; I write this as someone who has experienced how much being yelled at while trying your hardest can negatively impact your driving abilities and relationship with driving itself. It hurt to be constantly talked down to like I was a child, and having him yell at me in front of everyone at the DMV left me in tears. I wish I were able to say that he was an encouraging instructor but unfortunately, that was not the case for me. I regret taking patronizing this business, and I will not be recommending it to others. read more

I'm glad I found this driving school. It's cheap and has a great instructor! Brian is really patient and teaches you everything you need to know for your driving test. It ended up raining pretty hard all throughout my test (Sept. 15), but thanks to my training I felt completely comfortable and I passed with zero errors. I'm so happy that I have my license! I got 8 hours of training (which included driving on the freeway) and the DMV drive test bundle, so I got to use the car I practiced on during my lessons. I highly recommend this driving school if you want to pass your test! read more

I took lessons back in October with Brian and with his wonderful instruction, I was able to get my license in 6 weeks. It could've taken less time considering his scheduling system is very efficient and he has flexible hours that work with my busy college schedule. I hadn't driven a car in over 3 years, but with only 10 hours of instruction, I felt more confident on the road than I have ever been. After 4 hours, he even took me on the freeway... which I had never even driven on before! He helps you really understand how to be a safe and smart driver. Unlike with my other driving instructor I took back in high school who only taught me the basics, Brian prepares you for every kind of situation that you'll encounter on the road. Other instructors would be afraid to teach certain things, but Brian really wants you to learn everything, and learn it well! With zero driving practice outside of our 10 hours of lessons, I passed my behind the wheel test with only 3 errors. No more taking the bus, calling an Uber, or driving anxiously for me. I recommend Hi Driving School to all of my friends and family! Thank you Brian! read more

It's funny that he keeps updating his review to say different things and to make you out to be a great person, which you might be but take responsibility for your wrongs. Instead of posting incorrect information, write the truth. First off, I am not a former employee, not trying to get anything free other than warning others about you. Yes, my son took your course a few years ago and we never had this issue, that is why we went with you again! Trust and believe I will never send anyone there again. For you to blatantly call my daughter a liar is outrageous because I heard the conversation myself that she would record it on her cell phone. The cell phone she was able to take out while driving on your watch. You said after you took her she was an excellent driver. That could be far from the truth. I honestly wish it was accurate however, I had to teach her basics after three lessons with you How do you say I'm an ex employee? I have never worked for you or you business. I wasn't second guessing the price and never did I ask for a refund. I asked others to spend their money else where . I know what value is and it's not at your company. read more
