I purchased a thee pack of 2 hr. lessons on Livingsocial. When I tried to make an appt. their…read morevoicemail was full, but they give you the option of emailing to schedule, which I did and the owner contacted me promptly. When we arrived, our lessons were delayed by 1 hour because they were running behind. We have friends in the area, so we did not mind coming back. Initially, we were impressed with the size of the the facility and the many horse stalls, but as our visit progressed, things got a little confusing. Mainly because the individuals helping us get ready for our lessons were so young and not very good at communicating with us about properly reigning our horses, adjusting the brindles, procedure, etc. My instructor, who was 15 assumed I had riden before and didn't bother telling me anything about what I could expect from my experience at Windemere, or what was expected of me.This was disapointing. Furthermore, the horse I was to ride, was very old and dirty. It looked as if he had not been brushed in days and his face was filthy. Seriously, I even asked for a warm rag, to clean him off, but was ignored. I must've spent at least 20 minutes brushing and getting to know him, b/c he was a little agitated and honestly, I couldn't blame him. His stall was small and dirty too. The wind was really whipping up and since the training arena is so barren, there were hardly any trees to break the wind, dirt was blowing in our eyes and hair. We just kept going round and round the training area and my horse Zippy was very slow and cranky. At about 45 minutes, I asked to stop the lesson. Luckily for my daughter, she got a younger horse and was having a nice time. Not so lucky for my husband, he suffered an injury while there and he never made it on the horse, since the stepping block slipped from under his feet and he came barreling down on it, (we later found out) fracturing two ribs. The staff was genuinely concerned and offered to call an ambulance, but he toughed it out and after writhing on the ground for about 10 minutes, sat out and did not want to cut our lessons short b/c he never gets to spend time with us and wanted us to have a nice time despite what happened. The owner offered to allow our daughter to take a free lesson in the future since her dad could not take a lesson. I thought this was nice, but after much thought have decided to decline. Seriously, you get what you pay for, but it would've been nice to spend some time with an experienced instructor to truly give you an Equestrian lesson prior to having mounted the horse and starting the actual lesson. Sometimes less is more. More time educating, less exprienced riders and less time going endlessly around the arena would have been better. An experience not so soon to be forgot, and not necessarily for the right reasons.

Absolutely gorgeous bike trail! I'm not usually a big fan of road biking--after allJacksonville…read moredrivers... but the Baldwin Rail Trail is the perfect place for a peaceful, scenic ride. The views through the farmland are truly relaxing, and there's plenty of parking to make getting started a breeze. Everyone we encountered on the trail was courteous, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The added bonus? Benches and bathrooms along the path! I can't wait to come back for another ride.

This was a nice paved trail that was easy to walk with my son's stroller and our dog. There was a…read morecrossing on a busy road where we had to stop to wait for traffic to go past or wait for someone to stop for us to cross. There were lots of people bicycling, walking, and walking dogs and strollers. There was one farm where there was goats, sheep, dogs, chickens, and ducks. We only walked for an hour, but the trail goes 14 miles on paved, well maintained trail. The gravel parking lot had a lot of cars compared to the number of people I saw on the trail. There is a dual bathroom on the other side of the parking lot and maps of the trail near the trailhead start.

They note his behavior and he's taken care of like a first class show horse (and he's just my trail baby). They take care of every horse like their own and I have zero worries about him being there. They have the experience to take care of any need from boarding to breeding to training. I'm very grateful to them.

We splurged on a balcony and were upgraded to an extended balcony. The room was bigger and we very much enjoyed the extra room and really took advantage of it. I didn't take pics but the bathroom was huge compared to a regular room. There was a seating area with a couch that we used for suitcases and dressing area. There was a small table with two comfortable arm chairs, a firm yet cozy, queen sized bed and more closets and storage than we needed. The cozy warm pajamas we brought were great so we never needed the fluffy robes provided with the room. The staff really were the stand outs. Virtually anything we asked for we were given. There are so many fantastic opportunities on board for fun, it's difficult to do them all. We most enjoyed the singing duo Thalia and Mike while sitting in the atrium bar. Check them out on the web. We enjoyed all the meals with the stand out being the Chef's Table experience. Really was expertly organized, with the meal so fantastic, it surpasses my ability to put into words. The chef and his staff were absolutely stellar. There were hits and slight misses for us, but overall, a meal to remember. The pork belly may have been my favorite course. The entire experience far surpassed the extra cost. Looking back, I've spent much more for far less. Just seeing all the chefs and staff needed to orchestrate one very special night for their guests and their sincere willingness to knock your socks off will be something I'll never forget. The room service breakfast sandwich was also memorable. I've never ever. EVER. had so much bacon on a sandwich. The egg was herby, fluffy and flavorful. Enough sandwich for two! The Szechuan shrimp from the main dining room was probably our favorite dish / meal outside of the chef's table experience. I had ordered the lamb bolognese, which was a standout on its own, but that shrimp! Really for a meal prepared for so many people at once, never did I think my plate was ordinary. . Our steward was absolutely fantastic and went far above and beyond making this trip extraordinary. Elation is not without her downfalls. She has ONE small pool and it's very sad. She's rusty and WAY overdue for drydock but for the value it hits the mark and the staff made it a VERY memorable trip.
