I have been going to this dental office for the past 4 years and the experience has been great. I had a couple of wisdom teeth removed. You know how people talk about it being so painful and an awful experience, mine was totally different. Dr. Saba who did the procedure made me feel very comfortable and took away all my fears. The surgery itself didnt feel much, but the novacaine probably had some to do with it. Granted my teeth were not impacted and I didnt need to be knocked out, but this didnt feel like anything other than general discomfort. Since then I have gone here regularly for my semi annual dental cleaning. And even though I have moved away I keep going back. Herlivi and Ana the hygienists are both great and friendly. Dr. Wehbe himself is very knowledgeable and gentle - just what a dentist should be. The reception staff while friendly was very rude to me the last time, hence I am taking away one star. They doubled booked on my time slot as I make appointment 6 months in advance. They tried to confirm with me on a phone number I never had, but I received the post card in the mail and showed up. The lady there asked me to come back at another time. I wasnt going to do that, so I told them that I wouldnt leave the office until my cleaning was done and it wasnt my fault she called the wrong number. But she tried to pick a fight with me but thankfully Dr. Wehbe intervened and accomodated me - yay!! read more

I had my first long visit today (exception being a cleaning a week ago). I have quite a lot of work to do still. My whole life has been a series of dental anxiety- ridden episodes. I shopped around yet again, and was fortunate to have found Whebe Dental in West Roxbury. Dr. Kaceli is my new dentist. She earned my trust upon the first meeting. Her staff is so friendly, they know that it's not everyone's favorite activity! Can I say I love my dentist? Yes! I already feel 100% better. I'm finally getting the right kind of help. I must admit, i have never liked going to dentists in the past. Now, i feel differently. Dr. Kaceli is amazing. I just had 3 crowns and a root canal. I never felt pain during the procedure and after. She is personable, very good at her job and explained everything. I would recommend Dr. Kaceli to any child or adult. She is the best dentist i have ever been to and i am 65! The team behind the front desk, Neda and Salma worked as hard as i would getting my ins. to approve procedures... while my ins. runs out in days, made them only work harder to get approval. Made us wait over an hour with the explanation of "oh? Somehow it was put in the computer that you were late". We arrived 10 minutes early! Upon scheduling appointment, I SPECIFICALLY told them that my daughter needed a cavity filled. I made the appointment, waited over an hour to be seen and they told me that "they can't do that here, we'd have to refer you to another dentist" ummm...what?! Completely unprofessional. I switched to this dentist 10 years ago and they are great! The staff are the nicest people in the world. Dr. Wehbe is brilliant and so compassionate; the kind of dentist that truly cares for his patients. I had some real dental issues, and he and his specialists did amazing work. Now my teeth are great! I recently had them whiten my teeth, they used one of the Zoom solutions and I'm extremely pleased. Wanted to switch from my main office in Brookline to dr Wehbe's. Janet ( store manager) was very rude to me for trying to reschedule my appointment to different day. I've called office twice, day before closing ( no one picked up the phone) and very next day early afternoon 4 hours before my appointment. She's practically called me a bad customer for disrespecting their hygienist's time and told me that she would not reschedule but will cancel my appointment and hung up the phone. I found this whole conversation with her really odd. Oh and did I've mentioned that I wanted to bring my daughter to this office? What was I thinking?! read more

Had a terrible experience here. I have never bled so profusely during a dental cleaning. After the cleaning was done, I was told that at my next appointment, I "might" need some cavities filled. Might? Months later, the office started calling me to make sure I knew that I would be getting 3 fillings. Every different person I questioned about this discrepancy had a different answer, but they were all very pushy. I asked to speak to Dr. Wehbe directly, but was refused, and even once hung up on! I finally said that I was going to find another dentist, but they continued calling regularly to schedule an appointment for several more months. Typically, I give people the benefit of the doubt when an error is made because there is always a reason behind it. However, if an error is made by a professional within a dental facility there is a professional way to handle errors. Yesterday the office manager, Salma called my son's father/ex-boyfriend of 8 years (who happens to be a patient there & convinced me to let my son be seen there) to discuss my accounts. I cover health insurance and dental insurance for my kids and I, I am also responsible for the billing and payments. When I called to set up a payment plan and discuss the error made by discussing my information with him I was greeted with an obnoxious tone and attitude by Salma who acknowledged her mistake with an "ok" but decided to be combative by repeating that my accounts are past due & they can send me to collections (keep in mind for 3 accounts, my 2 sons and myself, I owe approximately $500). No amount of money gives anyone the right to be disrespectful, violate your HIPAA rights and your privacy. I am a professional and I strongly believe that people should take responsibility for there actions to ensure that errors like this do not continue to happen, but the fact that it was tossed aside without even an apology or an attempt to rectify the situation sickens me. Nonetheless, I have pulled my two sons and myself from ever stepping foot into this facility again and asked to be placed into collections. I'd prefer to deal with a collections office that will protect my privacy than the disrespectful and rude behavior from a facility and their staff that refuse to acknowledge the huge error that was made proving that they could care less about their patients and their privacy. read more

Awsome place! I have been doing business with doctor Wehbe and his crew since the late 1990s and have always been very satisfied with the work and the people performing the work. I have had cleanings, fillings, root canals, posts and crowns and have always been extremely satisfied with the work. I have been coming to Family Dental Care for over twenty years and have never been disappointed with the office personnel, the dental hygienist or the dentists involved in my care. This is far the worst dental place you can ever go to. The first, and the last, time i was there the doctor was constantly yelling at this lady who seems to be the receptionist? And what makes it worst is...he was yelling at her with some weird language that they speak in. I found that very disrespectful and rude to both the employee & for the patients that had to listen to his constant yelling. Once i walked into the practice I felt the place is very dirty and unsanitized. The receptionist has this snobby and rude attitude. It took forever for the dr to come see me and diagnosed my problem. Horrible place. Only dental office to make my gums bleed and swell for a cleaning. They did a horrible job on my wisdom teeth removal. Now 5+ yrs later im still fighting them over the coinsurance because i paid it up front and they still want to bill me for it. And the amount they send collects its double what the original bill is, but yet i just called them and they cant explain anythinh to me. Tried to schedule an ortho consult but didn't even follow-through because they demanded alot of personal information before they would schedule an appointment. She refused to make the appt. without it. I had previously made three appt. with other orthodontists and this was not a problem - as consults are no charge. Dr. Wehbe's office insisted on verifying insurance first - "so they could verify how much is covered and give me an accurate price. I told them I knew exactly what our insurance covered and this was not necessary. In my opinion the price should not change based on your insurance coverage. She also mentioned that insurance info was necessary before the consult " in case any x-rays need to be taken" - which we already had done at our DMD... . Wish I had not even called and given the information I did give. My take was that they are very $$ driven - very little customer service skills being displayed.... read more

I've never seen such poor internal communication and rude customer service in a medical or dental practice. My kids *were* patients here, but we'll never return. Inconsistencies in whether or not cavities needed to be filled, accusations of us not respecting them as professionals, telling my wife one thing, then me another, then accusing my wife of lying, not explaining the steps involved in certain procedures, then being rude to us when we asked for clarification and they charge $25 per child to send dental records to another practice. If you expect friendly, compassionate care, stay away. read more

I have been going to this dentist for almost a year. I haven't had any pain and Dr. Webhe is great. The hygienists all do a nice job as well. I haven't had any issues with the receptionists and they have all been friendly and courteous. The one thing I would pick on is they often run overtime on appointments or are overbooked- i have never had to wait long in the lobby but have sat in the chair for a while. THIS IS THE WORST OFFICE! The staff is unprofessional, treats the patients awful, and is disrespectful. The office manager lacks customer service skills as she laughs on the phone with you when you are talking about a patient personal illness when the patient need to be seen by a dentist. Staff lies and and cancels your appointment without notice. So you will be wasting your time and taking the day off from your job. I use to go to this office and the doctor told me I had 32 cavities! How is that posable? I went for another opinion and NO cavities, went to MGH in Boston and they checked me out also and again NO cavities. I had to pull one tooth out because this practice (dentist) told me i need a root canal and after visiting the other doctors they told me that I probably didn't even need that root canal. Another incident was i went in for cleaning and i paid out of pocket, $80 for a man to brush my teeth in less than 5 minutes. I can not even understand why this dentist is around but I don know that 40 % of his patient have left. I only do know that is because at first they were the group that referred me to him! I had the worst experience here than I've ever had in any like facility. Really a disgrace.I just wanted teeth whitening. Pain and gum bleeding for 2 days. I was under the impression that the young gentleman treating me was a dentist - I latter learned that not only wasn't he a dentist but he wasn't even a dental hygienist. Dentists and staff were pushing more expensive treatment than necessary. I had to pay in cash. As I latter learned from other patients this procedure was cash only. Embarrassing if a patient is not told about this prior to treatment and expects to pay with credit card., I received a receipt only after a manager approved my request. The handwritten receipt was consistent with my negative experience. While there I witnessed 2 patients being rudely spoken to by the staff in front of awaiting patients and a dentist. I don't consider the money spent wasted - just tuition which educated me on who not to use as a dentist. read more
