I've never had a facial before and walked in with 0 expectations. I was really happy with the whole experience: I felt relaxed, plumped, moisturized, and honestly excited about my week in a way I hadn't before. To address some of the negative reviews: 1. Duh it's not a private spa. They say that on the website where you book the appointment. I personally found people's background conversations calming as background noise and I liked the ease of just being able to pop in to get my facial and go. 2. They don't push products or services on you. At least not in my experience. When I booked, it asked if I wanted to consider any add-ons and I marked yes. During my session, my esthetician suggested one and we tried it. At the end of my session, my esthetician recommended two products and emailed them to me so I could decide later. They were specific to my needs and what I told her were my struggles. At check out, I was asked if I would consider a membership or booking ahead, but no one was pushy or made me feel uncomfortable. I felt super comfortable there the entire time! 3. Some yelp reviewers said they experienced break outs after. You take a risk of break outs with any treatment you try and it's why dermatologists warn people before getting a facial. I don't have very sensitive skin so I had no particular concerns. You can always ask them to not go as wild during the extractions. My experience: 1. I found my esthetician to be efficient, courteous, and attentive. I love the service she provided and I walked out of this facial more relaxed than I've walked out of full-body massages. 2. I didn't love the nano wand infusion and would probably skip it the next time I go. If you have the budget for it, try it, but I didn't feel much of a difference. 3. For any facial newbies, blow your nose before lol. Aside from some redness on where I had especially tricky extractions, my skin came out soothed and ready for the week at hand. My Service was Amazing Today, Josy is the best, she is so sweet and attentive. She took amazing care of my skin today! The only thing I would recommend is Heated Blankets, and ask other Technicians to be mindful that services are being rendered. I made an appointment to see Dominique (based on other yelp reviews). I had a great experience with her here at Heyday Rittenhouse. She asked me questions about my skin and recommended and used products accordingly. She was very knowledgeable about the products she was using and recommended products for me based on my skin type. It was a simple but effective facial. They have options to enhance your facial for an additional charge but I did not get any enhancements. It was my first facial ever and I am not sure if I didn't like this facial or just facials in general. In the pre-facial questionnaire I wrote that it was my first facial and my aesthetician sounded surprised when I was laying on the table telling her. When I walked into the curtained off room, there were paper towels on the ground that the aesthetician said she couldn't pick up because she can't wash her hands again. The room itself was odd, it was just a curtained off room with lots of lights; I could hear all the conversations in the surrounding rooms; it was not relaxing. I added the scalp treatment thinking it was a scalp massage or something, but rather I just had some oil dropped in my hair while a mask was applied. The entire facial and scalp treatment was less than 60 minutes. The facial was expensive and definitely not worth it. I had no extractions--which seemed odd. read more

I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately can't say I'll be returning. I got an ad for 50% off a facial, so I thought I'd give it a try. My esthetician was very professional. She explained every step of the process and what each product was supposed to do. However, I wasn't a fan of the overall atmosphere. With the partially open rooms, you can hear conversations from all of the other guests, which made it hard to relax. At times, it was also distracting me from what my esthetician was saying. I was also skeptical about the extraction methods they used. My esthetician used a vibrating electric tool to do the extractions, which I've never seen before. I've had manual extractions done before and have never had an issue with them. The electric tool felt a bit harsh, like they were drilling into my skin. If my skin looked great after the facial, I may have given it 3 stars. However, I broke out afterwards, which is rare for me. I don't have sensitive skin and I've never broken out after a facial before. I'm not sure if it was due to the harsh extraction method or a product they used, but I'm not too happy with the results. Even with the 50% off deal, I didn't feel like the facial was worth it, coming to about $90 with tip. read more

Unfortunately, I had to cancelled my membership due to availability but I always looked forward to my monthly visit. Give it a try! I sort of feel guilty giving a 2 star review because the location is very clean and my facial was free... however I wasn't a fan. I get facials once a month and I came to Heyday because my work gave me a free facial so I figured why not? Rooms are semi-private. They are blocked off with curtains so you're not getting the full relaxation you receive at any other spa where you're in a private room, change into a robe, etc. You can hear conversations from outside the curtain. The front desk directed me down the hallway and the person who did my facial was on her phone and didn't even greet me. Not very friendly and made me feel slightly uncomfortable, like I was bothering her. She didn't walk me through any of the steps, just got the facial over with and directed me to the front. Once I got to the front they had products on the counter ready to upsell me. Of course I ended up purchasing 2 products because I felt slightly guilty getting a free facial. It's been months and I still can't believe I spent that much, especially because I had an extreme break out to one of the products... Or it was from the facial. I had painful breakouts for about a week after my facial. I stopped using the cleanser immediately assuming that was causing my breakouts. When I saw my normal esthetician for my regular monthly facial, she actually used to work there and wasn't surprised. I can't even justify that my facial was free. It could have been better, staff could've been friendlier, the breakouts hurt so bad, etc. If you're paying to get a facial, go spend your money elsewhere and get the full spa experience. read more

Decided that my face care routine needed a boost. It had been years since I'd had a facial, so I thought I'd check out Heyday since facials claim to be their jam. I booked online was able to get an appointment easily. Upon arrival, my temperature was taken by the front desk staff and then it was facial time! The rooms are semi-private, with just a curtain instead of a door, but they have white noise machines and music playing to deflect some of the chatter. Being that I'd had like, one facial ever prior to coming to Heyday, I didn't know what to expect. Jayne was such a sweetheart and a professional. She explained everything she put on my face and its purpose. Bonus - all the products smelled soooo good! Towels are used instead of steam and I personally enjoyed the little facial massage (fellow wearers of bite guards - you won't regret this!) Jayne created personal recommendations for me based on my skin type and did not try to up-sell me on things I didn't need, which I appreciated. I decided to get a monthly membership, which gives me one facial a month for $95 plus 10% off purchases. My face feels super soft and even my husband said I was "glowing." My first ever review, it was that bad I had to write one and warn y'all. This place isn't really ideal for a normal facial. It feels more like a cult following with their philosophy and I wish I knew that beforehand. I was targeted from an Instagram ad for 50% off and who doesn't like that? So I made an appointment the next few days. I came in and spoke to the manager and she explained to me briefly about their extractions and how they only focus face and not neck, ears, and clavicle. Which defeated the purpose of my visit which was mask acne. I should have walked out from there since it was a red flag for me but I really felt pressured to stay especially I didn't know if they were going to charge me a fee. Then I was introduced to my esthetician, she was very friendly but I felt like I was just put on a $65 dollar face mask with really no benefits. The space was a loft space which only curtains divided our room and I could hear some voices during my facial and it didn't really give the luxury which is what I think a facial is. Then she did "extractions", in my nose area and JUST my nose, which was very confusing because we all have excess sebum there so I'm like girl what? She then finished the facial WITHOUT an SPF which was confusing because their philosophy was we want you to walk out of here without redness and go back to your day normally. And it was 3pm, sun blazing... another flag. I then proceeded to pay and the cashier peer pressured me to give 20% tip, it came out of nowhere the question and usually my usual place ask if I would like to leave a tip instead of just 20%? The manager called me today because I left a review online and I felt like she tried to make me believe it was my fault and that I should have known their philosophy and I should get extractions at a DERMATOLOGIST office and I'm like more confused. I honestly just want a refund and not ever go back here again. $91 dollar facial for something I could have walked to Sephora across the street and got a face mask. I feel scammed. I had a facial here on December 9 with Hannah. While the reviews of Heyday Rittenhouse speak for themselves (especially those praising Hannah's skills), I want to double down and say that Hannah was the most welcoming, talented, dedicated, gentle, and knowledgeable body enhancement professional I have ever encountered in my life. Her hands were magical--like a smooth velvet glove caressing my face. While her voice never rose above a soft whisper during the session, I could still hear her every word and her annunciations perfectly. The table I was laying on had the perfect firmness and support to where I could drift away to neverland. I think I had forgotten I had made a note that I was looking for a chatty Kathy so I was initially wondering why she was so quiet, yet I began to appreciate the tranquil environment and the peace within my space. She did several analyses of my face and pores and I lost count of how many hot towels she wrapped my face in. That was pure heaven! Moisturizers, spritzes, face and neck massage, And the ears!!! That was the penultimate. Hannah massaged my ears with such gentleness and care. I felt like a little baby. When my neck initially began to experience discomfort Hannah, went to find me a towel for neck support. Problem solved. This was my very first facial and it was exactly how I imagined a facial to be. She gently karate chopped my cheeks, caressed my eyebrows, relieved tension from my neck and shoulders, removed blackheads. During the entire 50 minute session, Hannah was engaged in some activity to enhance my face. There was no periods of down time or wasted movements. I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth. She walked me out to the reception area and suggested a nice facial moisturizer, which was expensive as hell! But I love it. When I went home washed my face that evening and had a Google Meet with a woman I had met on a dating site, she could not stop going on and on about how handsome I looked! Now the only negative about this visit has ZERO to do with Hannah and her exceptional service. My issue was with the noise in the therapy area. Having come in from a crowded and noisy Chestnut street, I was hoping this space would be a respite from the chaos and traffic that was outside. While relaxing on the table, I heard chairs being wheeled to and fro, loud laughter and chatter coming from the corridor and therapy rooms, curtains being drawn loudly. While I was disappointed in the overall ambiance of the therapy session, Hannah's unique ability to transport me to a peaceful state in my mind is the main reason why I still give Heyday Rittenhouse a five star rating. I visited Heyday today and unfortunately, my experience echos every single thing that the reviewer Fandy C. mentioned in her review. I wish I had thought to come here to read reviews before spending $139 on a glorified home mask. I specifically came to get a professional facial because I wanted extractions done in addition to the use of professional-grade products I don't have access to. I specified this in my pre-facial survey, I told to the receptionist at the front desk, and I discussed it with my facialist before we got started, so there was no confusion about what I expected to get out of my facial. My facialist indicated she understood what I wanted and was on board. However, she then proceeded to do "extractions" only on my nose area. The issue is that I had literally nothing to extract from my nose except sebum / milia, which, per their own website, is something that Heyday "doesn't believe in extracting." I left with all the same congestion from blackheads that I came in with, but just with my wallet $139 lighter. They did not use any professional grade products on me. I know this for a fact because I took pictures of the assortment of products that were used on me after my facial was completed, and all of them are either available for purchase in the store or at other retailers. I knew that the experience was semi-private, but for people who don't know that that actually translates to, I want to be clear: do not come here expecting a calming experience. It's noisy and you can hear everyone else talking over the music they have playing. My facialist was friendly, but that's the only nice thing I can say about the service I received. The facial itself was just piss poor, I wish I could get a refund, I won't be back, and I will make sure everyone in my social circle knows that they're better off going elsewhere if they want a real deal facial. read more

That's definitely the most affordable I'd seen in the area [then again, I'm not known for being a HUGE facial girl]. I walked in, was greeted with a cup of water and filled out a little waiver/some info on my face. My consultant came out and brought me to a semi-private [read: enclosed, but w/ a curtain instead of a door] space and a VERY comfortable chair/blanket to use. We discussed my skin - super friendly, and in a very accessible manner. She didn't use words I didn't understand, and it felt manageable to take that info home and use it regularly. The extractions hurt, but not as much as I remembered, and I even left with some samples (of creams and potions that might be pricier than I'm willing to spend on regularly). If you get regularly facials, this seems like the move. If you don't, you probably have your reasons, but this is also a good little spot to give one a try w/o dropping $150 before tip. I imagine I'll be back, but I'll admit, 2 weeks out, I don't see a marked difference. That said, it was my first facial in a while and maybe you need a few to get the impact. read more

Excellent facials. Attentive staff. Relaxing service and the aestheticians don't aggressively push product at you unlike other spas in the area. Downside is it's hard to schedule appointments (many of their top aestheticians are booked for months). Also, their billing is sketchy. I had a credit which I was told I could use at a future appointment. I called to make an appointment to use my credit. After the appointment they told me my credit expired months ago which was news to me. Great spot for a true facial. I like how they don't use steamers due to their lack of cleanliness. They instead use hot compresses and I found the entire process to be very relaxing and informative. Miesha gave me a great facial and answered all my questions. She was very thorough with the extractions and I liked that she used her hands and not the extraction tool which usually is much more painful. Horrible experience today at the store. Reached out to Collin Russell director of talent to let him know about this abhorrent interaction with the manager. I booked a facial and got to the store to ask about my promo code. Apparently due to a glitch in system they took too much money off and was told that price wouldn't be honored. I spent my time and effort to come here today and not once in the texts confirming appointment was I told that this appointment would not honor. I'm glad I asked prior to service. Totally unprofessional how this was handled by staff. I left and apparently they cancelled appointment for free (even though I was there and wanted service for price advertised) I will be calling the BBB and filing a complaint.
