They carefully opened up the wall where the hive was, made clean cuts, and neatly stacked everything they removed. Most importantly, they removed the honeycomb and bees without using any chemicals. It took just over a week for the rest of the bees to clear out (exactly what they said to expect), and they were ready to come back for follow-up if needed. Just know that they don't patch the wall right away--they leave it open for a couple of weeks to make sure all the bees are gone, and they let you know upfront that you'll need to handle repairs separately. Plan for that! What really stood out to me was how experienced and respectful they were--both to me and the bees. No poisons, no shortcuts.
